Gigi Hadid In Versace – GIGI x MAYBELLINE Toyko Event

Gigi Hadid was at the GIGI x MAYBELLINE Toyko event on Friday (January 26) in Japan.

As the model continues her reign as the queen of monochromatic dressing, she donned a baby-blue look from the Versace Spring 2018 collection that paid homage to the legacy of the fashion house and Gianni Versace.

I love how she combined the retro-inspired Versace T-shirt with the jacket and pleated skirt for a playful approach on structure and proportions.

With matching heels and socks, along with ruby-red lip and ponytail, the effect was girly and sweet with a chic edge.

Dakota Johnson In Versace – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Dakota Johnson paid a visit to ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Monday (January 29) in New York City to promote ‘Fifty Shades Freed.’

The actress has been wearing mostly Gucci so I was pleasantly surprised to see her in this Versace Pre-Fall 2018 piece.

The flirty dress has a sweet finish with the flared skirt and double straps, but it has a sultry undertone from the slits and fitted shape. The combination cleverly brings to mind her character in the film.

It’s different from the whimsical magic of some of her Gucci gowns, but I think it suits her. Furthermore, it makes me intrigued to see what she will wear for the rest of the press tour.

Front Row @ Valentino Spring 2018 Couture

The Valentino Spring 2018 Couture show was on Wednesday (January 24) during Paris Fashion Week, with a front row featuring plenty of Valentino beauties.

Kate Hudson: The actress has been serving up some sweet looks lately, and this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 frock stay right in line with that girly vibe by virtue of its short length styled with dotted tights and platform shoes. Yet, her sleek hair and elegant earrings reflected the sophistication of the sculpted bodice, preventing the look from becoming too twee.

Shailene Woodley: While this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 flared mini was certainly on the short side, I loved seeing Shailene have some flirty, youthful fun with fashion. The boots were the right way to wrap up this leopard-print dress—and even though they hit at mid-ankle, her legs still looked a mile long.

Lake Bell: Red was Lake’s colour du jour in this Valentino Spring 2018 number, where she fully committed to the hue from head to toe. It was undoubtedly striking despite its inherent quirkiness—and my wish that the poncho-style dress had a bit more shape.

Katy Perry In Versace – American Idol

After spending time with Minnie Mouse, Katy Perry was spotted at the ‘American Idol’ set in LA on Tuesday (January 23).

While the cutesy factor was high with Minnie, there would be none of that here, as she underwent a 180-degree shift in a head-to-toe ensemble from the Versace Spring 2018 Tribute Collection.

If there was ever a look that encompassed iconic Versace style, this would be it—from the signature, immediately recognizable baroque print right down to the Medusa logo belt and black tribute leather sandals with gold accents from the Versace Spring 2018 runway.

Some might say this ventures on the stylistic indulgent end, but I like how Katy fully committed to the unapologetically extravagant look.

Bella Hadid In Situationist, Gigi Hadid In Versace & Yolanda Hadid In David Koma – ‘Making A Model With Yolanda Hadid’ New York Premiere

Yolanda Hadid celebrated her birthday and the premiere of her new Lifetime show, ‘Making A Model With Yolanda Hadid,’ on Thursday (January 11) in New York City, with her daughters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid.

Bella Hadid: The model was serving up a little rock-rebel attitude wearing a leather coat as a dress from the Georgian label Situationist. The Fall 2017 look, which also included a matching leather top, was styled with Gianvito Rossi ‘Laura’ leather boots. Methinks this won’t go down to well, but I’m loving the retro vibe which is amped up with the go-go-style boots.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A group of handsomely outfitted guys have been out and about lately, as they make the red carpet rounds. Here’s the midweek roundup.

Timothee Chalamet: I love this up-and-comer’s style, as he always appears effortlessly nonchalant yet completely pulled-together on the red carpet even in a super-sharp Gucci Resort 2018 checquered suit that assured he stood out among the crowd at the 2017 GQ Men of the Year Party on Thursday (December 6) in LA.

Chadwick Boseman: At the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ LA premiere on Saturday (December 8), Chadwick joined a constellation of actresses—and held his own in a Ports 1961 Fall 2017 ensemble. The unexpected, directional striped detail is what sold the look to me for this monumental premiere.

Nick Jonas: Looking as spiffy as ever, Nick dressed in a Ermenegildo Zegna Couture suit for the ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ LA premiere on Monday (December 11). I really like how the cropped proportions, crew-neck shirt, and suede boots brought a whole new, cool-suave perspective to this look.
