Jessica Chastain In Versace Collection - 'Cleopatra' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Chastain returned to Cannes Film Festival, taking to The 60th Anniversary Theatre this evening for the ‘Cleopatra’ premiere in France.

The red-haired beauty looked regal, wearing a Versace Collection gown which was fit for a Queen.

Her long-sleeved off-white silk gown, featuring a cape which trailed behind her into a dramatic train, was styled with a stunning sapphire-stone statement necklace.

Jessica is giving us a preview of the upcoming Versace Collection Spring/Summer 2014.

From this look it would appear this collection will focus less on the studs, cut-outs and slashed-to-the-thigh gowns the brand is known for, but we will have to wait and see.

The CW Network's New York 2013 Upfront Presentation

A bevy of bright young things made quite an entrance at The CW Network’s New York 2013 Upfront Presentation, hosted at The London Hotel yesterday in New York City. Among the hot list, there are starlets from ‘The Carrie Diaries’ to ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and every TV show in between—and they certainly didn’t keep their sartorial sass under lock and key.

Jaime King: The ‘Hart of Dixie’ star flaunted a bold swish of brushstrokes (and her baby bump) in a Peter Pilotto Fall 2013 satin frock, worn with a Rachel Zoe statement cuff and thick strappy Etro shoes. With its abstract expressionist mood, this was nearly like a Mark Rothko painting put onto a dress. Casual blonde waves and a sweep of sky-blue eye liner completed the artistic look.

Aimee Teegarden: The ‘Star-Crossed’ actress must have gotten the art memo, too, as her romper was a study in watercolour prints. The rush of swirling hues was exhilarating; so too was the pop of neon-blue from the pumps and her coral lippie. I just wish her ‘do had carried the same exuberance, as it seemed to fall flat.

Nina Dobrev: Our favourite TV vamp was obviously still channeling a touch of punk attitude from last week’s Met Gala. The newly single star turned up the volume in a blue body-con dress by Versace that featured a punch of black leather, grommets and metal. Shiny platinum Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ heels added a final flourish.

AnnaSophia Robb: The young Carrie Bradshaw gave us a peek (literally) of her big-city style with this Katie Ermilio design that featured no fewer than three of the hottest trends of late: stripes, mismatched patterns and midriff cutouts. With so much happening in her dress, she kept the rest of the styling straightforward with minimal accessories, including a pair of Sorellina butterfly earrings and metallic Casadei pumps. Side-swept pin curls sent this look straight to the ’50s while lavender eye shadow added a youthful, fun edge.

With such a variety of styles, who was your top-dressed starlet of the four?

JW Anderson for Versus by Versace Collection Launch Party

Donatella Versace hosted an event at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City on Wednesday evening to celebrate the launch of the JW Anderson for Versus by Versace collection.

Heidi Klum: The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge wore a lace-accented LBD from the Versace Spring 2013 collection with black pumps. My issue is not the revealing nature of her dress or her pumps, but her ghostly makeup.

Taylor Momsen: Perhaps Heidi was taking makeup tips from Taylor Momsen, who took to the red carpet sporting a paler complexion than usual with her trademark racoon eyes. I haven’t been a fan of Taylor’s style since she morphed into her ‘Gossip Girl’ character Jenny, but I have to say I love this harlequin Versace suit. Sometimes she takes the grunge too far, but this more polished look I can get on board with.

Hayden Panettiere: With most going for all-black, hard-edged looks, Hayden opted for a beige-coloured flirty frock from the Versace Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with nude pumps and a clutch which matched her dress.

Nina Dobrev In Versace - ‘The Great Gatsby’ World Premiere

Nina Dobrev joined Florence Welch and Carey Mulligan on the red carpet on Wednesday night for ‘The Great Gatsby’ world premiere held at Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

The ‘Vampires Diaries’ actress put her best foot forward, as always, wearing a sultry Versace Spring 2013 frock.

Styling the look with gold accessories proved to be a wise choice considering the gold accents which decorated her black frock. She opted for Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, with an added kick of a crystallized heel, and a Jimmy Choo black clutch with a gold frame.

Her enviable glossy locks were swept to one side, with Susan Foster jewels rounding out the look.

Katy Perry In Versace - Out In New York City

On Tuesday, Katy Perry was spotted taking a stroll in New York City with her stylist Johnny Wujek, who has worked his magic in refining her style.

The singer wore a Versace Spring 2013 blue silk dress with appliqué lace and a side slide, which technically should be considered an evening look, but the styling makes the look daytime friendly.

Katy added a Sachin + Babi ‘Josefina’ leather moto jacket with a pretty floral print from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection and sheer black tights.

Along with the leather biker jacket, her Jimmy Choo ‘Dash’ boots with a studded trim give this pretty dress a rock-chic edge.

A Celine clutch and black Raybans completed her look.

BAFTA New York Celebrates ‘Mad Men

BAFTA New York celebrated the leading lovelies, (and the dapper guys, too), of AMC’s ‘Mad Men’ on Monday at The Harvard Club in New York City. I wanted to be ‘mad’ about the ladies’ looks, but I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed by a few of them.

Jessica Paré:  The Canadian stunner wore a jade-green dress, gilded in gold bric-a-brac at the neck and sleeves, from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection. The slimline dress showed off her figure, but I couldn’t take my eyes off the distracting black Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps. They weren’t right for this look, as I much preferred the metallic gold shoes that took to the runway.

January Jones: With her black leather Versace motorcycle jacket and printed Parker mini-skirt, the actress mixed punk and playful styles. Black Miu Miu platform pumps and a tousled bob finished this sporty moment that was certainly worlds away from her classic-glam ‘Mad Men’ character.

Christina Hendricks: The flame-haired star covered up her curves in a long-sleeve, knee-length black Valentino dress. While it did have some silhouette-enhancing trim at the waist and bodice, these details all but disappeared into the blackness. The spark was further extinguished with tired Stuart Weitzman black shoes—a more inspired pair would have worked wonders. At least Christina’s bold red lip provided some much-needed drama.

Kiernan Shipka: The young starlet stood out here with her adorable Dolce & Gabbana bow-accented frock that managed to look simultaneously sophisticated and age-appropriate. She also gets points for her retro side-swept wave and her decision to opt out of black pumps, choosing instead a mesh pair.
