Lea Michele In Valentino – 12th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Lea Michele In Valentino - 12th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Lea Michele attended the 12th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles, California on Saturday afternoon with her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The ‘Glee’ actress wore a Valentino Spring 2013 wish-flower printed dress with a camisole-style bodice, V neck, A-line waist and a scalloped hemline, which she styled with a David Webb jewels and bouncy brunette waves.

I’m so glad she didn’t over accessorize the look.

You may remember that Pace Wu wore the same dress last month.

Royal Wedding Guests

Royal Wedding Guests 1

There were many more guests who attended the wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill this afternoon in Stockholm, Sweden.

Princess Mette-Marit of Norway: The princess was my favourite of the guests, looking divine wearing a soft pastel-blue Emilio Pucci tiered lace gown with a delicate cape. The look was styled with a matching clutch and amethyst tiara.

Princess Charlene of Monaco: The princess, who attended the ceremony without her husband Prince Albert, wore another Akris gown during this royal celebration. On this occasion she wore a strapless ruched mocha coloured peplum gown which she styled with a chiffon shawl draped over her shoulder while carrying a crocodile clutch in the same mocha hue.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden Weds Christopher O’Neill In Valentino Garavani

The Wedding Of Princess Madeleine & Christopher O'Neill

Princess Madeleine of Sweden wed Christopher O’Neill in a ceremony held in her native Stockholm, Sweden earlier today.

Christopher O’Neill did his best to hold back tears at the vision of his lovely bride-to-be, who looked simply breathtaking as she glided down the aisle wearing a Valentino Garavani gown.

She was the picture of a perfect princess in her stunning silk organza gown with appliquéd ivory-hued Chantilly lace. See more details of the dress here.

Madeleine’s accessories included ivory white organdie shoes with woven point d’esprit dots and a privately owned tiara decorated with sprigs of orange blossom.

The bridal bouquet consisted of classic white garden roses: Austin roses, Schneewittchen, Winchester Cathedral and Alabaster, as well as lilies of the valley and the traditional myrtle from Sofiero.

Valentino Garavani Creates Wedding Dress for Princess Madeleine of Sweden

HRH Princess Madeleine copy

Mr. Valentino created the wedding dress which was worn by Princess Madeleine of Sweden for her wedding to Mr. Christopher O’Neill today in Stockholm.

While we await the pictures of the dress, you can set your goosebumps tingling with the sketch of the dress above.

The dress is created in silk organdies with applications of ivory Chantilly lace. The waist is emphasized by small vertical pleats that open and spread out on the full skirt with a 4-meter long train. The veil, at 6-meters long, is silk organdies edged with tulle “point d’exprit” with an application of Chantilly lace flowers. The royal tiara is decorated with fresh orange blossoms.

“Working with Princess Madeleine has just been so easy,” said Mr. Valentino. “She is very lovely girl. She is modern, fun, full of energy and enthusiasm, and she is so beautiful! It has been a pleasure and an honor.”

Mr. Valentino, a master couturier, officially retired from fashion in 2008, though most recently, in 2012 he created the wedding dress for Anne Hathaway. Throughout his career he has created wedding dresses for aristocrats and royals, most notably including Jacqueline Onasiss, Queen Maxima of Holland and Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece’s gown.
