Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain – ‘The Age of Adaline’ New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain - 'The Age of Adaline' New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively was still promoting her new movie, ‘The Age of Adaline’ on Wednesday (April 22) with four more looks.

Look 1: Opting for Antonio Berardi again, the mix print one-shoulder sheath from the Fall 2015 collection, styled with Malone Souliers tri-colour pumps, piqued my interest, but the embellished Jenny Packham Fall 2013 coat doesn’t quite work for me. Sans coat this was one of her best of the week.

Look 2: Blake made a guest appearance on ABC’s ‘The Chew’. I simply adore this look. Not too fond of the fall-like hues she’s been championing this promo tour, this sweet and feminine Lindsey Thornburg floral summer-in-a-dress frock, styled with baby-blue pumps, is perfect from head to toe.

Look 3: For the Apple Store Soho Presents Tribeca Film Festival: ‘The Age Of Adaline’ Q & A event, Blake wore a Valentino patchwork Fall 2015 coat and dress. I would only save the shoes from this look. There is too much going on for my liking here, plus I really love Blake in bright, summery colours, like the Roksanda look from the day before. I have Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat of Many Colours’ playing on a loop in my head after seeing this look.

Look 4: Making a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show with Seth Meyers’, Blake wore her second Balmain Fall 2015 look in so many days. I love the sparkling fringe skirt, but wish she’d made this look her own and broken up the runway look. The top feels so pedestrian for the disco-style skirt.

Harper by Harper’s Bazaar Launch Party

Harper by Harper's Bazaar Launch Party
The ‘harper by Harper’s BAZAAR’ launch party at Violet Grey with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on Tuesday (April 21) in Los Angeles, California celebrated the latest issue of the magazine geared to the young, stylish reader.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: As cover girl and guest editor of the latest magazine issue, Rosie played host in an Alessandra Rich Spring 2015 gown. Yet I cannot say this is what I would have expected the model to wear for the occasion. Firmly planted in the ’80s, the era which strongly inspired the designer’s spring collection, the Dynasty-esque dress does benefit from a more elegantly sleek, streamlined silhouette. And I’m glad she skipped the lookbook’s belt. I believe it’s the bow that gives me most pause. Yay or nay?

Kiernan Shipka: From the ’80s to a couple more decades back, the starlet was also in a retro mood with her red Valentino collared, mini frock. Simple and charming.

Jaimie Alexander: Taking a sexier route as she is sometimes wont to do, Jamie wore a Mugler Spring 2015 leggy ensemble with cutouts, styled with Tamara Mellon shoes and an updo.

Natalia Vodianova In Valentino Couture – The Backstage Gala in aid of The Naked Heart Foundation

Natalia Vodianova In Valentino Couture - The Backstage Gala in aid of The Naked Heart Foundation
Natalia Vodianova attended The Backstage Gala in aid of The Naked Heart Foundation at The London Coliseum on Friday (April 17) in London, England.

The model always wears head-to-toe red for The Naked Heart Foundation, and this latest gala was no different.

Her Valentino Fall 2014 Couture goddess gown was the embodiment of classic Hollywood glamour with an obi-inspired sash belt adding graceful structure to the fluid lines of the dress.

The red theme continued in her accessories, yet the real stunner was her diamond and pearl necklace.

I did find the Launer ‘Traviata’ handbag and jewels slightly at odds with each other—a more minimalistic look would have fared beautifully without them, too, with Natalia’s retro waves and bare-faced makeup completing the effortless effect.

Kiernan Shipka In Valentino – ‘W Stories’ Event

Kiernan Shipka In Valentino - 'W Stories' Event

Kiernan Shipka attended the ‘W Stories’ event, presented by Leon Max and hosted by Stefano Tonchi, Leon Max, and Amber Valletta on Friday (April 17) in Los Angeles, California.

Featuring one of the happy, artsy floral prints that were seen throughout the Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 collection, the spirited little frock made for a fun, youthful offering.

With the flurry of trippy flowers, the starlet kept her styling to a minimum with Jennifer Fisher jewels and a braided-back ’do that emphasized the hippie, retro charm of the look.

Here again, Kiernan manages to maintain the balance between playfulness and sophistication. Would you agree?

Olivia Palermo In Marchesa & Valentino – 9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala & 2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance

Olivia Palermo In Marchesa & Valentino - 9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala & 2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance

Olivia Palermo was lovely at back-to-back events on Thursday (April 16) and Friday (April 17) evenings in New York City.

9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala: First up, the socialite wore a delightful Marchesa Spring 2015 confection for the gala at Cipriani, Wall Street. I love this look for its directional, cocoon-like silhouette and fanciful, allover floral and vine embroidery that was appropriately gypsy-glam for Olivia. Her styling added another layer of finesse with an amazing pair of blue statement earrings, strappy Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo sandals, and an embellished clutch.

2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance
: Donning another beautifully embroidered design at the museum dance, her Valentino Spring 2015 gown was whimsically covered in starfish. Another quintessential boho-chic ‘Olivia’ look, the dress has already been worn twice by both Shailene Woodley and Fan Bingbing. That said, Olivia contributed her own unique touch with a metallic handbag, and soft waves for an effortless finish.

Vanity Fair Party 2015 Tribeca Film Festival Party

Vanity Fair Party 2015 Tribeca Film Festival Party

A crush of lovelies attended the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival’s ‘Vanity Fair’ party at the State Supreme Courthouse in New York City on Tuesday (April 14). Here, a roundup of their looks.

Ivanka Trump: Adding a sexy spin to her sophisticated style, Ivanka wore a David Koma Spring 2015 asymmetrical frock with side cutouts. Despite the statement dress, I cannot direct my gaze away from that massive silver clutch, which was much too big for this otherwise sleek, sultry look.

Lindsay Ellingson: The model gave this Valentino Fall 2013 dress with china-blue embroidery its fourth appearance, as it has previously been worn by Lea Seydoux, Charlotte Ronson, and Angelababy. Yet she wears it so well, I still cannot help but be charmed by her effortless interpretation of the precious-chic dress, styled with matching off-white pumps, a ponytail and red lip.

Joan Smalls: Oozing seductive appeal, the model channeled her inner femme fatale in a leather-look, body-con House of CB dress, sliced through with peekaboo cutouts. A rouge lip and long straight locks completed the effect.

2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala Sao Paulo

2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala Sao Paulo

The 5th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala took place at the home of Dinho Diniz on Friday (April 10) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Naomi Campbell: As she did last year, Naomi wore a Givenchy Couture show-stopping piece. Decked out in feathers and red paillettes, this look is classic Naomi; bold and sexy while maintaining high-fashion allure. The look was accessorized with Harry Winston jewels.

Kate Moss: The supermodel, who co-chaired this event with Naomi, also wore a Givenchy gown. Hers was a beige chiffon and lace Pre-Fall 2015 number with tonal pailettes, styled with a rose-gold Givenchy clutch and Harry Winston jewels. Many words came to mind upon seeing the Great Kate in this dress, but the first one was no. This is quite unflattering. I’m not a fan of the bodice and I’m tempted to say the colour ain’t working, but that could just be because I’m so used to seeing her in all black.

Kylie Minogue: Following her performing at the event, Kylie was spotted wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2015 Couture hybrid dress. While I love the artistic nature of this piece, I don’t think it translates too well on Kylie. Someone with the sartorial style of Dita von Teese, or the statuesque presence of Karolina Kurkova would’ve sold this to me.
