Cate Blanchett In Valentino – ‘Manifesto’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett was back on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Manifesto’ during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday (April 26) in New York City.

It’s rare that I view any Fall runway outfit and wish the actress had kept the coat, but that was definitely the case with this Valentino Fall 2017 look.

Usually Cate can sell anything to me, even those double layered Louis Vuitton trousers, but this is awful.

Shapeless, uninspiring, bland styling. I’m quite shocked at how bad this is.

If you can find one positive other than her gorgeous face, please let me know in the comments.

Monica Bellucci In Valentino Couture – 2017 Beijing International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Monica Bellucci graced the red carpet for the closing ceremony of 2017 Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) on Sunday (April 23) in China.

The Italian actress broke a habit of a lifetime wearing her second red Valentino gown in a row.

I’m not surprised Monica opted to modify the gown, as she always possesses a sultry air and the ruffled white collar would’ve got in the way of that.

Even thought the Couture gown was perhaps too snug on the chest, this was a stunning look from Monica. Very fitting for the location and the occasion.

2017 Beijing International Film Festival

The opening ceremony of the 2017 Beijing International Film Festival in China on Sunday (April 16) brought with it a number of elaborate looks to usher in the festivities.

Liu Yifei 刘茜美子 : It’s hard not to be fully enchanted by this Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture lavender-purple confection, what with its extravagantly voluminous tulle skirt and cascades of glittering embellishment. I love how the exploded peplum folds added a modern edge to thi fairy-tale princess moment.

Sofia Boutella In Valentino – The CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards

Sofia Boutella was named the Female Star of Tomorrow at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards on Thursday (March 30) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Just when I thought Sofia was going to be an exclusive Chanel girl, she switches gears in Valentino.

Sadly this wasn’t a look I couldn’t get excited about.

While I love the intensity of the glittering embellishments, the sheerness and the ineffective short layer threw me off.

Had she added some boots to bring about a more nonchalant vibe I could’ve been swayed, but as its presented, it’s a big no from me.

Naomi Watts In Valentino – CinemaCon 2017

There have been a number of stars at CinemaCon 2017 in Las Vegas, and Naomi Watts joined the mix on Wednesday (March 29).

Stripped of its boots and coat from the runway presentation, this Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 dress fell a bit flat on the red carpet.

With a more or less shapeless form and the horizontal lines of mini-fringe, the effect was strangely sagging—and certainly not as flattering as it could be to Naomi’s lovely figure.

The visible lining underneath only added insult. Would you agree?

Demi Lovato In Jill Jill Stuart, Mugler & Valentino – ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ Promo Tour

Demi Lovato was sporting a shorter hair style for her promo tour of ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ this week.

UN and ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’: On Saturday (March 18) the mood was playful for the International Day of Happiness at the UN Headquarters, from the fit and flare silhouette of her Jill Jill Stuart dress to her bespoke Edie Parker ‘Smurfette’ clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Darcie’ white sandals.

Musicians On Call Presents A Night To Celebrate Elvis Duran: Demi swapped playful for sexy donning a Mugler Resort 2017 dress punctuated with colour-block panels and cut-outs to reveal subtle hints of skin which she styled with red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

UCLA Semel Institute’s ‘Open Mind Gala’: Last night (March 22) there was an overwhelming feeling of serenity oozing from her Valentino Spring 2017 draped dress styled with an L.K.Bennett ‘Nina’ clutch, Pasquale Bruni jewels and Alejandra G. sandals.

I love how each look is well styled and tells its own story, but the Mugler look stands out the most with the other two presenting a refreshing change of pace.
