Zoe Kravitz In Valentino - ‘Mad Max Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Zoe Kravitz was also sporting a nose-ring for the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

It’s not often we see the actress in a gown, or wearing a look not created by Alexander Wang, but on this occasion she wore Valentino Fall 2015 black and gold sheer creation incorporating a bit of grunge, rock and glam.

With those key elements in place the styling was kept simple with a gold clutch and selection of jewels.

I love the additional pop of gold shimmering lip colour.

Final Sweep Of The 2015 Met Gala Red Carpet

met gala 2015

As you know when it comes to the Met Gala, I always – as impossible as the task is – try to feature everyone, so here is the final sweep from Monday’s (May 4) event.

As this is very last post, leave your top 10 in the comments.

Livia Firth: Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you pay homage to the Chinese theme. Livia’s Antonio Berardi for the Green Carpet Challenge gown was elegant, refined, and so refreshing on a night were the self-promotion and not living up to the dress code ruled. Easily one of the best on the night, and her arm-candy (husband Colin Firth) scrubbed up nicely to.

Carina Lau: Sadly, the Asian actress got a bum deal from the pictures agencies who only added them to their sites the day after the event (no doubt not recognising who these beauties were, and what joy they were bringing to this lacklustre table). Continuing her love affair with all things Schiaparelli Haute Couture, Carina wore a black and white look marrying both Chinese intricacies with modernity and less face it – plenty of fierceness. I can also picture this on Dita von Teese.

2015 Met Gala Menswear Roundup

Met Men Matt

With the tidal wave of gowns and tonnes of sparkling embellishment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), the guys’ looks were a handsome, albeit less extravagant, accessory to the girls. Rather than attempting to accomplish the Chinese theme, some of the men reverted to safer, traditional tux territory while others bravely went in the direction of the East.

Robert Pattinson: This is the Robert Pattinson I like to see—polished and handsome without losing his edgy, bad-boy charm. His elegant Dior Homme three-piece tuxedo was one of my favourite men’s looks of the night.

James Marsden: The actor infused another layer into his Ermenegildo Zegna ensemble, elevating the look with a cream jacket paired with a white tuxedo shirt and black trousers.

Matt Bomer: Showing off the power of the classics, he was dapper in a dark Giorgio Armani suit and bow tie popped with the hint of colour in his pocket square.

Claire Danes In Valentino Couture – 2015 Met Gala

Claire Danes In Valentino Couture - 2015 Met Gala

Claire Danes looked poised on the red carpet of the 2015 Met Gala in New York City tonight (May 4).

The actress wore a Valentino Couture gown straight from the designer’s Fall 2014 runway, paired with gorgeous diamond Fred Leighton jewels.

This is a beautiful gown that looks stunning on Claire, but I’m just not getting anything on-theme from the look, and that really disappoints me for this event.

I am totally smitten with Claire’s beauty look, though. Rocking a roughed-up, dirty-looking deep side part and ultra dark lips, the look is much edgier than Claire’s norm, and I love that she went outside her normal beauty box, and in doing so, I think she totally slays the look.

Kate Mara In Valentino – 2015 Will Rogers Pioneer of the Year Dinner

Kate Mara In Valentino - 2015 Will Rogers Pioneer of the Year Dinner

Kate Mara attended 2015 Will Rogers Pioneer of the Year Dinner honouring Jim Gianopulos, at Caesars Palace, during CinemaCon on Wednesday (April 22) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The actress put forth her usual simple, sweet style, wearing a Valentino off-white Fall 2015 frock.

What make this look interesting are the sheer elements, adding a hint of sensuality to the classic mini style.

The softly spoken dress is given a much needed kick, with gold accessories including Jimmy Choo ‘Mindy’ sandals rounding out her look.

Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain – ‘The Age of Adaline’ New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain - 'The Age of Adaline' New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively was still promoting her new movie, ‘The Age of Adaline’ on Wednesday (April 22) with four more looks.

Look 1: Opting for Antonio Berardi again, the mix print one-shoulder sheath from the Fall 2015 collection, styled with Malone Souliers tri-colour pumps, piqued my interest, but the embellished Jenny Packham Fall 2013 coat doesn’t quite work for me. Sans coat this was one of her best of the week.

Look 2: Blake made a guest appearance on ABC’s ‘The Chew’. I simply adore this look. Not too fond of the fall-like hues she’s been championing this promo tour, this sweet and feminine Lindsey Thornburg floral summer-in-a-dress frock, styled with baby-blue pumps, is perfect from head to toe.

Look 3: For the Apple Store Soho Presents Tribeca Film Festival: ‘The Age Of Adaline’ Q & A event, Blake wore a Valentino patchwork Fall 2015 coat and dress. I would only save the shoes from this look. There is too much going on for my liking here, plus I really love Blake in bright, summery colours, like the Roksanda look from the day before. I have Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat of Many Colours’ playing on a loop in my head after seeing this look.

Look 4: Making a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show with Seth Meyers’, Blake wore her second Balmain Fall 2015 look in so many days. I love the sparkling fringe skirt, but wish she’d made this look her own and broken up the runway look. The top feels so pedestrian for the disco-style skirt.
