Felicity Jones In Valentino – 2015 Producers Guild Awards

Felicity Jones In Valentino - 2015 Producers Guild Awards

Felicity Jones attended the 2015 Producers Guild Awards held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday (January 24) in Los Angeles, California.

I was doing cartwheels in celebration of this look; firstly, it’s not black and, secondly, this was my favourite look from Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection.

The silvery blue embellished piece has been watered down quite a bit from the look book, which is understandable, but I wish the bodice had some lightness to it; not in colour, but in fabric.

Are you doing celebratory cartwheels, or has the lining watered down the appeal of this gown?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 22 Jan

A handful of handsome men were out this week, dressed in a range of styles. Here, a glance at their looks.

Luke Evans: Dressed to impress in a striking burgundy-red Valentino suit, the actor was seated front row at Paris Menswear Fashion Week for the Valentino Fall 2015 show in Milan, Italy. The standout bold colour caught my gaze, and the fit was impeccable. Bravo.

Ewan McGregor: The actor rocked a cool-kid Neil Barrett look at the ‘Mortdecai’ Los Angeles premiere at TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (January 21). He mixed the brands signature ‘Buffalo’ moto-tough, black leather jacket over a crisp white dress shirt and a perky bowtie. Skinny black pants completed his edgy-formal statement.

Charlie Hunnam: Charlie was also front and centre at Milan Menswear Fashion Week. He was at the Calvin Klein Collection Fall 2015 show on Sunday (January 18), donning a Calvin Klein ensemble naturally. His grey suiting over a midnight-navy, button-down shirt didn’t pique my interest—in this case, a tie (and better tailoring) might have improved the more lacklustre styling.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Valentino – Museum Of The Moving Image Gala Salute

Chloe Grace Moretz In Valentino - Museum Of The Moving Image Gala Salute

Chloe Grace Moretz was at 583 Park Avenue on Tuesday(January 20) in New York City to see her ‘Carrie’ co-star Julianne Moore honoured by the Museum Of The Moving Image.

The actress also wore gold, selecting a gold lace shirt-sleeve, tiered-skirt design by Valentino.

Aside from the classic feminine shape, this is a distinctive Valentino dress thanks to the studded laser collar, which featured on many pieces from the Resort 2015 collection.

This statement-making piece, the epitome of fearless femininity, was sadly let down in the shoe department.

While this safe shoe option expected from many starlets, I don’t expect it from Chloe, who has an enviable shoe closet.

2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

Here’s a quick roundup of the men who took to the red carpet for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Eddie Redmayne: Giving just that little bit extra, which always sees him standing above his peers, the actor opted for a sharp Valentino shawl-collar tuxedo in his favoured slim-fit silhouette.

Jared Leto: Following the Globes, I was worried he had lost his mojo, but here he’s bursting with flavour. Standing out wearing a bright blue Costume National blazer accented with a pink carnation, you have to admire his courage in always doing something different. Thankfully opting for black trousers instead of going full blue, he did match his blazer to his sock with an extra kick coming from his Swarovski-embellished Louis Leeman loafers. On this occasion he swapped his man-braid for a man-bun.

Ethan Hawke: Yet to wear a black suit this awards season, the ‘Boyhood’ actor also stood out, donning a Lanvin light grey suit with black velvet piping. These top three will most definitely keep menswear interesting this awards season.

Rosamund Pike In Valentino Couture – 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Rosamund Pike In Valentino Couture - 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Rosamund Pike attended the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Many of you regarded her Vera Wang Golden Globes gown as the worst of the night, so how does this Valentino Haute Couture dress from the Sala Bianca 945 collection fare?

I would say this ivory high-neck gown with its ethereal embroidered sheer skirt is much more in tune with her sweet-natured style, with an intelligent balance of elegance and whimsy.

Keeping the styling minimal, she opted for a simple bun and Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals.
