Fan Bingbing In Valentino Couture – ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The second I saw Fan Bingbing on the red carpet at ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening, I said to myself, there is going to be several comparisons made to a certain Oscar-winner.

No. This isn’t anything new, but I was swept away by the dramatic floor-length silhouette of this Valentino Spring 2017 Couture gown which is matched a bold red hue and stunning De Deers jewels.

Love it or not, this was one look that promises to turn heads.

‘Ismael’s Ghosts’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

More stars took to the red carpet for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony and premiere of ‘Ismael’s Ghosts (Les Fantomes d’Ismael)’ on Wednesday (May 17).

Lily-Rose Depp: Her creamy-white Chanel dress had something of a Grecian goddess vibe. She embraced the embellishment by styling the look with gold Chanel Fine Jewelry and Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Like Robin Wright, Charlotte dared to go short in a Saint Laurent silver-studded mini. Was it a chic, fun look? Sure. Was it right for opening night? I’m not convinced.

Eva Herzigova: More metallic came out to play in Eva’s Roberto Cavalli Couture gold-flecked gown that was a stunning way to see the designer represented at Cannes. A Roberto Cavalli Spring 2017 antique gold leather clutch, Roberto Cavalli Resort 2018 platinum sandals and Chopard jewels completed the dazzling look.

Alba Rorhwacher In Valentino – ‘Ismael’s Ghosts’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Alba Rorhwacher joined Marion Cotillard for the ‘Ismael’s Ghosts (Les Fantomes d’Ismael)’ Cannes Film Festival photocall this afternoon (May 17) in Cannes, France.

Opting out of the velvet version of this Valentino Fall 2017 dress, Alba opted for leather?

Well due to the construction of the piece it doesn’t appear to be too heavy, even though she went down the Nicolas Ghesquière mode of styling her dress with ankle boots.

I can’t say I’m blown away, but she makes it work.

King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway’s 80th Birthdays

The celebration for the 80th birthdays of King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway was held on Tuesday (May 9) at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway, with many royals in attendance.

Princess Tatiana of Greece: No need for royal blue when the shade of green is this regal. The asymmetric one-shoulder silhouette and the bell sleeves of her Celia Kritharioti gown only heightened the sleek, majestic quality.

Princess Sofia of Sweden: A study in embellished elegance, Princess Sofia was striking in an embossed black Oscar de la Renta gown.

Planned Parenthood 100th Anniversary Gala

More stars joined Scarlett Johnansson at the Planned Parenthood 100th Anniversary Gala on Tuesday (May 2) in New York City.

America Ferrera: The actress was thinking pink in her custom Kate Spade New York blazer and black high-waisted trousers. The peek-a-boo bra added feminine allure to the tailored look, with a bespoke Edie Parker “PP 100” clutch honouring the occasion.

Halsey: Judging from the other looks at the event, Halsey went a bit too over-the-top with this sheer, embellished Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2017 gown. Its look-at-me quality wouldn’t have been out of place on the models at the Met Gala the night before.

Grace Gummer: All attention was on this Jacquemus Spring 2017 ruched blouse and its retro polka dots, as it was styled simply with menswear-inspired, cropped trousers and clear flats. Despite the intentionally long, puff sleeves, I do wish they had appeared better tailored.

Amy Schumer In Valentino – ‘Snatched’ New York Screening

Amy Schumer attended the New York screening of ‘Snatched’ on Tuesday (May 2) in New York City.

The funny girl went for ferocious in this Valentino frock from the Panther capsule collection.

I love the drama that the graphic animal print provided, which was only heightened by the cape silhouette.

I do think Amy’s styling let her—and the dress—down. At the very least, the bow-accented neckline required a sleek bun. And a bolder eye or statement lip wouldn’t have hurt either.

2017 Met Gala After-Party

Katy Perry hosted the Met Gala after party at The Boom Boom at The Standard in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday morning (May 2).

Elle Fanning: The young actress donned her second Miu Miu look of the night. I love how the looks starts out minimal in hue and cut before gathering in pace below the waist with an explosion of multi-colour feathers and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Body Strass’ pumps. I’m imagining this would’ve looked amazing as a gown for the main event.

Kate Bosworth: Since the majority of you disliked Kate’s Tory Burch red carpet look, I won’t be surprised if you wished she’d worn her Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 boldly hued frock to the main event. It certainly would’ve had a greater impact.

Katy Perry: It was Katy Perry’s party and she will dress as ridiculously as she wants too. My only surprise is that she didn’t wear Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2016 Couture look with the runway helmet.
