2017 amfAR Gala Cannes Model Roundup

The models were out in force for the amfAR Gala Cannes on Thursday (May 25) during the Cannes Film Festival.

Elsa Hosk: Striking a pose with a distinct pink, pinup mood, this Ermanno Scervino Fall 2017 gown had all the hallmarks of boudoir dressing with the exposed corset and sheer lace—distracting black heels notwithstanding.

Bianca Balti: What’s this? A model not baring it all? Bianca went for a more conservative stance in a Dolce & Gabbana black gown that oozed of old Hollywood glamour when styled with finger waves, statement jewels, and Gianvito Rossi shoes.

Joan Smalls: Between the length, the ubiquitous slit, and the collar-style neck piece, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and gigantic hoop earrings. Hip-hop, tribal glam?

DeGrisogono ‘Love On The Rocks’ Party

The DeGrisogono ‘Love On The Rocks’ party featured some stunning looks during Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (May 23).

Rita Ora: The singer has never been afraid of a risqué outfit, so we’re not surprised at her selection of this Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2017 Couture dress. The royal blue colour is stunning, but we’re not sure about this that odd block panel (plus we think Zoe Saldana had a much more successful outing with a less busy version of this bardot-style dress). Keeping the styling simple was the key to successfully pulling off this look. Did this look work for you?

Hailey Baldwin: This Roberto Cavalli Couture gown is everything we love about the Italian brand; dripping with embellishment and unapologetically sexy. Smoldering smokey eyes and a polished updo perfected the look.

Marion Cotillard In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – Cannes 70th Anniversary Dinner

Marion Cotillard continued to sparkling during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival attending 70th anniversary dinner on Tuesday (23 May), following her red carpet appearance earlier in the evening.

The French actress looked incredible wearing a look from Ulyana Sergeenko’s Spring 2017 Couture collection.

Her frilled top seems very reminiscent of the 1970’s with the large collar and the flashy fabric; then factor in the skinny leather trousers and this really was a go-to outfit for a rock chick.

Tempering the oversized silhouette with a plain black belt, Marion’s love for PVC shoes continues to be a common feature of her red carpet looks during this festival.

Cannes Fashion For Relief

The Fashion for Relief gala and runway show event was held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 21), with attendees turning up the volume on their own fashion statements for the evening.

Naomi Campbell: Before gracing the runway at the event, the supermodel stunned in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 gown with Santoni sandals and Bulgari jewels. The slithery, slit-to-there was Naomi’s version of a Grecian goddess look; I loved the movement of the diaphanous skirt and the shimmer of the knotted overlay that infused the look with an intriguing edge.

Uma Thurman: After her questionable last look, Uma redeemed herself a bit in this Atelier Versace embellished number styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. However, am I alone in thinking the dress felt a bit dated?

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan
: I have a feeling that this Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress was far more beautifully perceived in person with its tonal embroidery and lace underskirt. Its pristine-white polish is what kept me most interested.

Lewis Hamilton
: The British race car driver didn’t leave his sporty edge at home, bringing it to Cannes with this Gucci ‘Bee’ bomber jacket.

Katherine Waterston In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – ‘Alien: Covenant’ World Premiere

Katherine Waterston attended the world premiere of ‘Alien: Covenant’ in London on Thursday (May 4).

With this new film not to mention the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2’ promo circuit, there have been no shortage of reasons for stars to channel sci-fi-chic—and I’m not complaining when the ensembles look like this.

What I love about Katherine’s Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2017 Couture corset dress is how it demonstrated a magnetically restrained aura of mysterious allure.

Strewn with dimensional embellishment that could double as space debris and styled with Katherine’s sleek swept-back ’do, the look found its right footing between futuristic and feminine.

2017 Met Gala After-Party

Katy Perry hosted the Met Gala after party at The Boom Boom at The Standard in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday morning (May 2).

Elle Fanning: The young actress donned her second Miu Miu look of the night. I love how the looks starts out minimal in hue and cut before gathering in pace below the waist with an explosion of multi-colour feathers and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Body Strass’ pumps. I’m imagining this would’ve looked amazing as a gown for the main event.

Kate Bosworth: Since the majority of you disliked Kate’s Tory Burch red carpet look, I won’t be surprised if you wished she’d worn her Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 boldly hued frock to the main event. It certainly would’ve had a greater impact.

Katy Perry: It was Katy Perry’s party and she will dress as ridiculously as she wants too. My only surprise is that she didn’t wear Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2016 Couture look with the runway helmet.
