Kerry Washington In Tory Burch - Good Morning America

Still making a flurry of rounds in support of the third season of her hit show, ‘Scandal,’ Kerry Washington swung by ‘Good Morning America’ at the Times Square studios in New York City this morning.

For this occasion, the actress wore a loose silhouette with Tory Burch’s ‘Kirby’ dress, detailed in diamond-shape embellishments. The soft ballet-pink colour was charming, but I would have preferred the frock a few inches shorter.

She accessorized with heavier, dark-navy pumps, an Alexander Wang nude ‘Prisma Skeletal’ clutch and oversized shades.

Her latest ‘Scandal’ promo circuit hasn’t produced many positively memorable fashion moments. How does this look fare?

Michelle Obama In Tory Burch & Eva Longoria In Camilla and Marc - Drink Up Initiative

The First Lady, Michelle Obama, was joined by actress Eva Longoria on a visit to Watertown High School in Watertown, Wisconsin as part of the Drink Up initiative to encourage people to drink more water last week.

For the event, Mrs O wore a blue tie-dye Tory Burch ‘Jasmyn’ midi shirtdress with a pleated skirt and retro silhouette.

This dress has more to it than meets the eye as the tie-dye fabric was developed in collaboration with women tie-dyers of the Republic of Guinea to benefit the ‘There is no Limit Foundation’.

Eva was equally colourful, wearing a Camilla and Marc ‘Amphora’ orange dress from the Australian brand’s Fall 2013 collection which features cap sleeves and a wrap skirt notched at the hem.

She styled the look with subtle gold jewels and a half-up, half-down ‘do.

Front Row @ Tory Burch Spring 2014

Tory Burch’s Spring 2014 show, held today during New York Fashion Week at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, saw a charming and fresh set of exits parading down the watery-blue catwalk. The ladies in the front row launched their own charm offensive, too.

Emmy Rossum: The actress was the epitome of preppy-chic in her navy-blue Tory Burch Resort 2013 ‘Sandy’ lace-embellished sweater and ‘Davis’ leather leggings. She adorably styled the look with Tory Burch’s ‘Gracie’ pumps, the ‘Sparkle’ square frame clutch—and a perfect red lip. But her best accessory may have been her camera, as she snapped away documenting all the runway action.

Rashida Jones: Wearing a veritable garden bouquet, the actress put on a blooming ‘Kaley’ dress that also hailed from the Tory Burch Resort 2013 collection. Pointy, black gladiator-inspired heels, as well as a bold red clutch and crimson lippie, were punchy if not slightly harsh counterpoints to the pastel mini-frock.

Anna Dello Russo: The fashionably eccentric editrix skipped the Tory Burch trend, instead showing us a Saint Laurent Fall 2013 dress. The pink rose-patterned frock was just too twee, even with its black bow and those heavily embellished, studded black boots, which couldn’t put the rock star in this look.

Helen Mirren In Tory Burch - 'RED 2' New York Screening

Dame Helen Mirren has so far looked as regal as ever on the promo circuit for ‘RED 2,’ and she continued her elegant outings at the movie’s New York City screening yesterday at the Museum of Modern Art.

The actress graced the red carpet in a Tory Burch Pre-Fall 2013 off-white dress, spangled with embellishment that mimicked a micro-print, which she paired with the designer’s snakeskin pumps.

A sparkling, gold Herve Van der Straeten bracelet and CB Luxe ring, not to mention that magenta-red lip, punched up her conservatively chic look.

But it was the casual, too-white Kate Spade New York cardigan that ultimately deflated the effect for me.

Given the choice, I prefer her prior two ‘RED 2′ looks from Elie Saab and Jenny Packham.

Golden Melody Awards

Here are some more looks from the 24th Golden Melody Awards held in Taipei, Taiwan on Saturday evening.

Cyndi Wang: The Taiwanese singer attended the event wearing a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2013 black dress with a satin bodice and a textured skirt, which was accented with a bow and styled with leather opera gloves and lace-up booties. You may remember that Emma Stone has already worn this look.

Christine Fan: The Taiwanese actress opted for a floral Leonard Paris Fall 2013 frock with a sheer panel and side slit, which she styled with Jimmy Choo accessories, including the delightful yellow-and-black ‘Myth’ sandals and the popular ‘Sweetie’ black-and-gold lace print acrylic clutch.

Fish Leong: The Malaysian singer wore a gold Lanvin frock with a plunging neckline. Sadly, the styling pulls down the look. The geometric Bulgari clutch could’ve been given a pass, but her snake-print Louboutin Daffodile platform Mary Janes kill the look. Emma Stone also wore this gown to the 2011 Women Of The Year Awards.
