Demi Lovato ended ‘The X Factor’ the same way she started: wearing a Topshop dress.

For the season finale held at CBS Television City in LA yesterday evening, she wore a two-tone metallic green-and-copper cut-out shift dress from the Limited Edition collection.

Personally, I don’t like anything about this dress. In fact, I find it quite nauseating, but Demi is rocking it.

It’s a shame she appears to only own one pair of black platform pumps. Hopefully next season her friends over at Topshop can extend her credit to shoes as well.

Large hooped earrings and long wavy tresses completed her look.

Even though she has no acts left in the competition, Demi Lovato still attended the press conference to promote this week’s X Factor finale yesterday afternoon.

Yep, she was wearing Topshop, donning a black silk boxy shirt paired with the Moroccan blanket A-line skirt I tried on this weekend – sadly it was too short.

The singer managed to overcome the shortness of this skirt by wearing opaque tights.

Giving us a hint of her former rock-chic-wannabe phase she added a spiked necklace to her look, with glossy waves and YSL Tribtoo pumps completing her look.

Demi Lovato attended the ‘VH1 Divas’ 2012 event held at the Shrine Auditorium in California last night wearing her favourite brand: Topshop.

No surprises there.

Her beautiful black swing dress, featuring pearl details decorating the neck and sleeves, is from the British retailer’s Limited Edition Collection.

Demi has come a long way in a year. There was a time when she didn’t meet a spike or stud she didn’t love, but her style has a bit more glamour and sophistication about it these days.

Even her heavy handed makeup has subsided for a more neutral colour palette, but I have to add that she’s looking a bit ghostly here.

Over the most recent season of the ‘X Factor’ US, it seemed as if Demi Lovato embodied a different fashion personality every single week.

Sometimes she was going for hard-edged rocker chic, while some weeks she opted for ultra sexy and trendy – but always wearing Topshop.

At Fox’s ‘The X Factor’ viewing party at Mixology101 & Planet Dailies in California – which was also attended by Britney Spears – we were pleased as could be when she arrived on the red carpet wearing an age-appropriate Topshop ensemble.

The young reality-show judge looked natural and sweet in a floral frock from Britain’s premier high-street fashion retailer, and added a dose of wintery edge with a simple leather jacket and classic black tights.

It seems that Demi has really found a lovely happy medium after a season of extreme on-screen fashion choices.

Demure-with-a-twist really suits her; plus, the look is further enhanced by the soft waves of her chestnut tresses.
