2017 Hollywood Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday (November 5) in Beverly Hills, California were a fashionable affair with a number of lovely ladies joining Angelina JolieCarey MulliganShailene Woodley and Mary J. Blige.

Kate Mara: The recently married actress presented a fashion-forward look in this Burberry patterned suit. The metallic mix is something that looks as good far away as it does close up thanks to the contrasting pattern on the collar and the sleek shape. The red clutch adds a new energy to the ensemble without overshadowing the modern tailoring.

Amy Adams: Opting for crisp tailoring and shimmering femininity, the actress wore an all-black Tom Ford number. The shape of the sequined dress was almost to the point of hobble skirt proportions, but it gave the look a liquidity that was juxtaposed with the sharpness of the jacket.

Zoe Kazan: Bringing a botanical touch, ‘The Big Sick’ actress donned a white Gucci dress decorated with flora and fauna. Some might find it too spring-like for this time of year, but I found it to be a joyful injection to the carpet.

Kim Kardashian West In Tom Ford for Gucci – 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala

Kim Kardashian West joined Annabelle Wallis for the 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday (November 4) in LA.

Still putting her platinum locks to work, she paired those ash-blonde tresses with a Tom Ford oversized tuxedo suit.

Her traditional mark of sexiness was made evident in the shirtless effect. Yet, this was a rather subdued outing by Kim’s standards.

And, for that, I appreciated the fresh subtlety of the menswear-inspired statement.

I do think a sleeker hairstyle would have worked to enhance the sophistication.

3rd Annual InStyle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 3rd Annual InStyle Awards on Monday (October 23) in Los Angeles, California brought out numerous stylish ladies donning their most head-turning ensembles.

Angela Sarafyan: The ‘Westworld’ actress put a darker twist on a princess silhouette in a Georges Chakra Fall 2017 Couture gown. The black trim and the darker tulle layers lent an edginess to the full skirt. An Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch and Chloe Gosselin ‘Narcissus’ sandals played up the moody vibe.

Demi Lovato: Bringing a sultry elegance to a lavender Alice + Olivia Spring 2018 gown, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer toughened up the slip dress with a white studded belt and Leticia Linton ring. If I have to nitpick, I would have liked to see the dress a few inches shorter and a more formal belt.

Rihanna In Tom Ford – Vogue’s Forces Of Fashion Conference

Rihanna attended joined Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles for Vogue’s Forces of Fashion Conference on Thursday (October 12) in New York City.

The singer opted for a Tom Ford Spring 2018 all-denim three-piece look when making her arrival.

They say just say no to denim shoes, or any other denim accessory when rocking all0denim, but since when did Rihanna play by the rules?

I don’t feel this look will go down well with the majority, but I’m seeing glimpses of vintage Rihanna, so I’m easily pleased.

Andrea Riseborough In Tom Ford – Action Aid Fashion Show

Andrea Riseborough attended the ActionAid Fashion Show on Tuesday (October 10) in London, England.

Offering up a razzle-dazzle little party look, the actress donned a Tom Ford Spring 2016 textural mini.

The black pumps somewhat diluted the rock-star vixen charm of the dress.

But, then again, you could say that they provided a note of classic sophistication to the sassy look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Fresh from a weekend’s worth of looks, here’s what the men have been wearing lately.

Andrew Garfield: At the ‘Breathe’ New York special screening on Monday (October 9) alongside Claire Foy, Andrew donned a Tom Ford ensemble that continued his incredibly polished flair. Fresh off his BDOTW win—where he was also in Tom Ford—this look continued in fine form, as I loved the varied richness with which he wore these shades of blue, highlighted by the flash of a light pocket square to complete the effect.

Miles Teller: Joining Jennifer Connelly and Nina Dobrev at the ‘Only The Brave’ LA premiere on Sunday (October 8), Miles was all buttoned up in a conservative Ermenegildo Zegna Couture three-piece suit that was ever so dapper.

Michael Fassbender: Dropping by ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ on Friday night (October 6), Michael took a handsomely laid-back approach in Burberry tailoring that didn’t take itself too seriously by virtue of the unbuttoned dress shirt.
