Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jessica Stam also opted for a look which we wouldn’t quite associate with the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event which was held in Jersey City on Saturday.

The model wore a Thom Browne Spring 2012 look.

I didn’t like any of the looks from this collection. I found them very unflattering and unfeminine, but Jessica managed to find some pieces from the collection which worked well together.

She teamed a cropped white top with black trims with a simple black layered skirt.

The black-and-white theme continued to her footwear, but she opted for a striped red, white and blue clutch.

A black hat with a polka dot veil by Maison Michele and a red lip colour completed her look.

Mr Wu is also looking very dapper in this picture.

I recently said that Leighton Meester is always interesting to watch on the red carpet, and she proved me right again last night at the 2010 Gotham Independent Film Awards.

This time she gave us menswear wearing a Thom Browne suit.

Wearing this suit is slightly ironic considering Thom Browne just launched his first womenswear collection.

What I like most about this look is that she didn’t try to add a cute accessory in an attempt to make it girlie, and she didn’t add brogues to push the masculine element too far down our throats.

Her Salvatore Ferragamo heels perfected her look and I’m loving the loose tie.

I think Leighton deserves kudos for making unpredictable choices.

Do you agree?
