Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Marion Cotillard and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio were in London last night for the premiere of their new movie “Inception”.

I wondering how I was going to sugarcoat this, but I’m just going to be honest and say that I absolutely hate this look.

From head-to-toe this is a disaster in my eyes.

Those of you who know my taste won’t be surprised about my feelings towards this look.

Kate Winslet would’ve never taken to the red carpet alongside the dashing Leonardo looking this bad. If anything she raised her game.

This Thakoon Pre-Fall 2010 print dress doesn’t work for me on the red carpet for a major film premiere. It just doesn’t belong.

Yes complaints are made that she only wears Dior, but I would’ve preferred a Dior re-run to this.

It just feels like a really lazy effort.

I’m soy disappointed in Marion.

It’s like the “Nine” premieres all over again were expectation were high, but quickly shattered.

When I heard that the Gap was dressing stars at the Costume Institute Gala I must admit I was a bit worried about the results.

Kerry Washington banished those fears by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing a Thakoon for Gap red draped gown.

The dress has an interesting bodice and I just love the way it drapes.

Thank god she didn’t opt for black accessories.

Tasaki by Thakoon jewelry, Christian Louboutin mini Loubi clutch and Christian Louboutin Titi gold python heels complete this amazing look.

Kerry’s dress will be auctioned for charity on GAP.com tomorrow.

My favourite 10 may have to be stretched to top 20. So many good looks last night.

Hilary Rhoda first wore this Thakoon Fall 2009 asymetrical mini dress back in May of 2009 to “The Model As Muse: Embodying Faashion” Costume Institiute Gala at the Metropolitan Musuem of Art in New York.

Hilary has chosen to wear this dress in a light gold colour, which I love.

I also love how she has hardened this look by wearing a heavy necklace and peep toe ankle boots.

The ever beautiful Iman then wore this dress in black in October 2009 to the “Keep A Child Alive” Black Ball in New York.

I think that this might rock the style boat a bit but I’m just not loving Iman in this dress.

Her hair and make up is flawless as usual but the tights and plain black pumps put me off.

I’m not sure how many of you will agree but, for me, Hilary wins this one hands down.

Jessica Szohr wore the blue print version of this Thakoon Spring 2010 dress to this prestigious event.

I’m glad she picked the darker colour, as I would love to see the lighter print saved for the Spring.

Strappy booties and tamed sleek straight hair complete this look.

What? No ankle boots?

Alexa Chung looks really cute wearing a red Jason Wu Spring 2010 dress with a ruffled neckline.

I love those bold red lips.  It’s very rare that we see her wearing make-up.

Ballet flats complete the look, but I’m also missing the black runway waist belt.

Cassie looked really good on this occasion.

The singer donned an off-the-shoulder black and gold striped Brian Reyes draped dress from the Spring 2010 collection.

The dress was paired with open-toe booties.

Georgina Chapman wore a black Marchesa Fall 2009 dress, which has an intricate embroidered detail all over.

The designer paired her dress with the same Christian Louboutin for Marchesa lace ankle boots as the runway model, plus a black clutch from her Spring 2010 collection.

Coco Rocha looked fierce in wearing this Rodarte Spring 2009 black and white dress on the runway, but Karen Elson softens the look by adding black pumps and bouncy curls.

Many of you hated Nicole Kidman’s last L’Wren Scott dress at the CMA’s.

On this occasion she wore a stunning ivory Lanvin tulle lace gown.

Her boobs aren’t squashed, she not too washed out, the black sash tied to the waist is adorably accented with a white rose.

Love it or hate it?

Maria Sharapova wore this slinky Thakoon Fall 2008 dress to a dinner organised for her at Chateau Marmont.

The tennis star looked great in bold blue opting to add a chunky silver necklace, which I don’t think this piece needs with its high neckline.

I don’t like her over-styled hair much either. I can smell the hairspray from here Maria?!

Ciara looked beautiful wearing the same wool crepe shift with trusted Louboutin pumps to sit front row at Thakoon’s Spring 2010 presentation during New York Fashion Week.

It drapes over her body sublimely and the punchy colour works for her. I’m jealous of Ciara’s uber-glossy waves too!

Ciara wins this WWIB for me, what do you think?

This dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter.

Kerry Washington’s Marchesa Spring 2010 gown with a flared hem and a white corsage detail is gorgeous, but I’m not quite getting the feeling that Kerry is owning it.

She looks a little lost in this gown, which is very unlike her.

It’s like she’s not feeling it at all.

Her look is paired with a Marchesa crocodile clutch which is also from the Spring 2010 collection.

Iman continues wow me time after time and this is no exception.

The supermodel wore a black sequined Thakoon Fall 2009 one-shouldered belted dress which is too spectacular for words.

I adore the draping and the tulle bow detail which sits on her shoulder.

Her sleek bob and smoky make-up complete this perfect look.

As beautiful as Halle Berry is this slashed black Kaufman Franco sequin dress, it looks too tight around her bust which really puts me off this look.

Paula Patton adds a touch of colour via her long sleeved fitted dress which she pairs with a deep red clutch and gladiator sandals.

Not something one would expect at a ball, but I do love this dress.

My biggest problem with Estelle’s look is that she looks so uncomfortable.

Between the tie and the shirt dress button up to the top, she looks so restricted.
