Brit Marling In Thakoon - Late Night Starring Jimmy Fallon

Brit Marling made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Friday (July 25) where she promoted her new movie, ‘I Origins’.

The actress opted for classic black and white, donning a sleeveless heavyweight silk dress from Thakoon’s Resort 2014 collection featuring a round neck and a fully pleated contrast-stripe silhouette.

As we have come to expect, the styling was simple and easy, with just Jimmy Choo black sandals, wavy tresses and a glossy nude lip.

Anna Paquin In Thakoon - 'True Blood' Season 7 Premiere

Anna Paquin attended the HBO premiere of the ‘True Blood’ final season held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday (June 17) in Hollywood, California.

The actress kept to tried-and-true: black; donning a Thakoon Spring 2014 sleeveless bonded crepe LBD featuring a high, round neck, cutaway racer front with self-tie accent at the side and moulded princess seams.

Had it not been for that gold Beladora necklace, which looks like it could be part of the dress, and the additional Beladora gold bracelet and rings, this may have been a total snooze.

Black pumps with a gold ankle strap work with the overall black-gold theme, with couldn’t-be-more-appropriate vampy eyes and a quiffed updo completing her look.

Sarah Greene In Thakoon - 2014 Tony Awards

Sarah Greene attended the 68th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 8) in New York City, where she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan’.

Opting not to wear a gown, the actress went for the simple, chic approach wearing a cobalt-blue custom Thakoon halter-neck tea-length dress.

With nude pumps, a small selection of jewels, a simple twisted updo and a shimmering pink lip, does this look honour the glamour of the occasion, or does it fall flat?

I do love the simplicity of the look; not everyone has to wear a ballgown. However, I do wish it was a little longer. Even ankle length would’ve worked better for me.

Emma Stone In Thakoon - 2014 Met Gala

Emma Stone was captivating at the 2014 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 5).

Coming off her recent chic streak for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ promotions, the actress continued to impress in her custom Thakoon two-piece pink and magenta, colour-block gown.

The body-skimming, tailored edge of the cropped halter top with a crisscross back was beautifully juxtaposed with the flowing wrap skirt which trailed loosely behind her.

She accessorized with a complementary Tod’s metallic and magenta box clutch, barely the hint of jewels and a chunky side braid.

While it had nothing in common with the rush of ball gowns that were seen on the red carpet, I cannot help but love this effortless and contemporary style that was eye-catchingly notable purely by its simplicity.

Freida Pinto In Thakoon - 100th Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Freida Pinto was back on the red carpet for the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday (May 3) in Washington, DC. following the Garden Brunch earlier in the day.

She stunned wearing a custom Thakoon metallic duchesse silk cross bodice cut-out gown in a light-pink hue which was radiant against her skin-tone.

Adding just a few subtle jewels and a gold Jimmy Choo ‘Sweetie’ clutch, her hair was swept back, with just a pale pink lip completing her look.

Thakoon isn’t known for his gowns, so that’s why this exquisite look can be appreciated even more.
