2017 Olivier Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty more stars who climbed the steps at the Royal Albert Hall in London yesterday (April 9) for the 2017 Olivier Awards.

Denise Gough: We haven’t seen much of Burberry on the red carpet this year, yet they dressed two actresses at this event. Like Cush’s Burberry gown, Diane’s was decked out this embellishments, but unlike Cush, I didn’t love this. I’m not sure if it’s the shade of yellow, the embellishments with the yellow or the rouge lip and nail combo with the yellow gown, but something is throwing me off.

Audra McDonald: Eight-time Tony Award winner and Queen of Broadway Audra McDonald wore an exquisitely tailored gown in the softest blue-hued shade. This elegant off-the-shoulder style was one of my favourite of the night.

Lily Frazer In Temperley London – 2017 Olivier Awards

Lily Frazer stood out on the red carpet for the 2017 Olivier Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (April 9) in London.

I love how the bright kaleidoscope print of her Temperley London Spring 2017 dress is full of energy and vibrancy as we enter into a new season.

Cut in an effortless silhouette that falls fluidly, there was no need for impactful accessories as the dress stood on its own.

Are you as blown away by this dress as I am?

Frieda Pinto In Temperley London – ‘Guerrilla’ London Premiere

Freida Pinto’s ‘Guerrilla’ promo tour headed to London on Thursday (April 6), after many jaunts in New York City.

So far Freida has showcased a love for colour and prints, which I have really admired, however, I couldn’t get on board with Freida latest look from Temperley London’s Fall 2017 collection.

Why?

There is just way too much going on.

For a start I wish she opted to go sans jacket. But then when I look at the skirt, I think the jacket attempts to mask the odd silhouette the skirt would have given her since it sits so far up her waist.

All in all its a disappointing way for Freida to end the week.

Freida Pinto In Diane von Furstenberg & Temperley London – The Today Show & SiriusXM

Freida Pinto continued making the rounds as part of her ‘Guerrilla’ promo tour, with stops by ‘The Today Show’ and SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday (April 4) in New York City.

The Today Show: I was immediately drawn to the brilliant combination of colour and print in this Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2017 form-fitting design. The additional kaleidoscope hues by way of the heels wasn’t exactly necessary, though, as the dress was powerful enough. But I do appreciate her willingness to colour outside the lines and go beyond a basic black pump.

SiriusXM: With a completely different outlook on pattern, this Temperley London Spring 2017 frock featured a youthfully summery, folk-inspired mood with a pretty palette of shades. I did find myself missing the artfully spirited mix of textures between the embroidered top and woven skirt seen on the runway, which gave the look its style-forward, cool-girl edge.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Temperley London – 2017 Portrait Gala

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the 2017 Portrait Gala on Monday (March 28) in London alongside Rosamund Pike and Alexa Chung.

Her forest green Temperely London lace gown wasn’t a re-run, but it had a strong case of déjà vu about it, as it reminded me of her Temperley London ‘Amoret’ lace gown which she’s worn thrice before.

It has the exact same silhouette, the same lace pattern and the same satin waistband.

I also found myself a bit disappointed by the moody hue. We’re in Spring. Let’s celebrate that with some joyful colour. The Queen would’ve done so.

A gold Wilbur and Gussie ‘Charlie’ clutch and matching Jimmy Choo ‘Dart’ sandals rounded out her look.

I don’t hate this by any means, but as usual I’m thirsty for more from Kate.

Joanne Froggatt In Temperley London – Three Empire Awards

Joanne Froggatt was another of the British beauties at the Three Empire awards on Sunday (March 19) in London, joining Laura Carmichael and Ella Purnell.

Sticking to a British designer, she donned a Temperley London Fall 2017 look featuring a sequin evening skirt with peek-a-boo sheer, knife-cut pleats.

I love the sleeker way she chose to wear the design with a plunge top replacing the oversized white button-down.

It had no shortage of modern edge.
