2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

An additional chic set of lovelies were among the constellation of style stars at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, hosted at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Monday (June 1) in New York City.

Katie Holmes: I really wanted to love the actress’s one-of-a-kind Ralph Lauren Collection deep-green silk charmeuse evening dress accented with Ralph Lauren vintage jewels. Shame about the wrinkles in the dress and the long, barely-styled hair that hid the beautiful earrings.

Abigail Spencer: It was delightful to see such a bright, patterned Novis dress, where the bold colour continued with royal purple Malone Souliers Dawn Mules heels and a magenta lip. The end result was captivatingly fresh and charming, even if it appeared slightly less formal than some of the other entrances.

Gigi Hadid: This Michael Kors Resort 2016 glittery jumpsuit had a distinct Studio 54 vibe, but the model wore it so well, creating a chicly modern appeal with Michael Kors ‘Jacqueline’ sandals, a metallic Michael Kors clutch, and Atelier Swarovski jewels.

Michelle Obama In Tadashi Shoji – White House State Dinner

Michelle Obama In Tadashi Shoji - White House State Dinner

Michelle Obama attended the State Dinner in honour of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife, Akie Abe, on Tuesday (April 28) at the White House in Washington, D.C.

Regal in royal purple, the FLOTUS wore Octavia Spencer’s go-to designer in a Tadashi Shoji gown featuring tonal, feathery lace embroidery at the bodice cascading into beautiful, frothy layers of tulle.

Seeing this look on the runway made me crave the more fairy-like, diaphanous sheer effect of the original confection. But the dress was necessarily lined for the First Lady and the event.

Regardless, this offering still sees Michelle mixing refined elegance with fanciful femininity for a softer side to the more structured silhouette she occasionally favours.

A loosely undone updo and natural makeup contributed an effortless finishing touch to her entrance.

Naya Rivera ln Tadashi Shoji – 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Naya Rivera ln Tadashi Shoji - 2015 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Naya Rivera stepped out at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night (April 25) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

The pregnant ‘Glee’ star wore a long-sleeved, draped cowl back Tadashi Shoji gown from the Fall 2015 collection.

A simple clutch and diamond stud earrings with a dark manicure accent the white hot look, and a sleek bun, and flawless, bronzed skin and nude lips are perfectly suited to the gown.

I love how Naya looks in white, and I like this sophisticated take on maternity wear. Covered from head-to-toe but still offering plenty of aesthetic appeal with the draping and cut, I’m really liking what Naya and this dress are giving us.

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji - 'Insurgent' New York Premiere
Octavia Spencer was also at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, held at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City, joining Zoe Kravitz, Ashley Judd and Shailene Woodley.

It will come as no surprise that the actress once again relied on her favoured designer, Tadashi Shoji, for this richly patterned, lacy filigree gown.

Yet I was delighted to see her in this more relaxed, flowing silhouette that had a semi-boho-inspired vibe—even if the skirt puddled a few centimetres too long at the floor.

A Thale Blanc clutch, soft waves, and neutral makeup completed her effortless look.

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – 2015 Oscars

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji - 2015 Oscars

Octavia Spencer was back on the red carpet at the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (February 22).

There will perhaps be no utters of surprise that the actress wore her favoured designer, Tadashi Shoji, for the evening’s festivities.

After a rare misstep in the designer-star pairing, the duo was back on firm footing with this custom creation in a glorious shade of mint green.

She style the off-the-shoulder, draped and embellished design simply and beautifully with diamond-encrusted earrings, a tonal Judith Leiber clutch and a sleek updo.

2nd Annual Unite4:humanity Event Red Carpet Roundup

2nd Annual Unite4humanity Event Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2nd Annual unite4:humanity Event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (February 19) in Los Angeles, California.

Beth Behrs: I’m loving everything about Beth’s SAFiYAA suiting look, especially the black and blue printed jacquard blazer. I would’ve preferred cigarette or cropped trousers, but this wide-leg pair give the look a cool vibe strengthened by the kohl-rimmed eyes and sexy bed-hair. Pointy silver pumps and a Thalé Blanc clutch accessorized her look,

Sarah Hyland: You’ll be surprised to learn that this striped strapless dress is by Maria Lucia Hohan. Yes, she’s finally serving up something new, which is perfectly showcased by the ‘Modern Family’ actress. Sweetly alluring, the bodice is very much the focal point, imbuing head-turning charisma in this elegant retro design.

Amy Poehler: Sticking to safe black, this Tadashi Shoji look serves her well. Both the pattern design and leather belt steer this look on the side of ladylike elegance. I can’t remember the last time I liked an Amy look as much as this.
