Fan Bingbing In Stéphane Rolland Couture – 1st China International Film Festival

Fan Bingbing In Stéphane Rolland - 1st China International Film Festival

Fan Bingbing attended the 1st China International Film Festival held at Central Hall of Westminster in London on Friday.

The Chinese actress wore a Stéphane Rolland Fall 2013 Couture shimmering metallic-blue gown featuring white cuffs and bodice as well as the impeccable couture sculptural detailing we expect from a Stephane Rolland piece.

I’m sure many of you will agree that Bingbing’s dramatic, power-dressing gown sees her back to her best.

I know many of you had grown tired of seeing her wearing embellished gown after embellished gown, so this new take on glamour will no doubt be regarded as refreshing.

Perhaps wearing her hair up would’ve perfected this look; but considering her glossy locks are not interfering with the bodice, I can find no fault with this look.

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture – 2013 Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture - 2013 Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards

Following her chic daytime look, Nieves Alvarez took glamour to another level while attending the 2013 Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards held at the Residence of France in Madrid, Spain yesterday evening.

The model and Solo Moda host wore a Stephane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture gown featuring a white body and a pewter sequined skirt with black satin panels and a spectacular train.

Wearing an appropriate amount of jewels courtesy of Chopard, which didn’t overpower her breathtaking gown, Nieves styled her look with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Stuart Weitzman sandals, with her hair swept up into a side-parted updo and kohl-rimmed eyes and a soft-pink lip colour completing her look.

We kinda lost faith in Stephane Rolland following Paz Vega’s look during Cannes Film Festival, but this look puts the designer firmly back on the map.

Solange Knowles In Stéphane Rolland Couture – Vanity Fair and Chanel Party

Solange Knowles In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Vanity Fair and Chanel Party

Stephane Rolland is the one designer I look forward to seeing at Cannes Film Festival, but so far this year I haven’t been impressed with his first two outings; the most painful was Paz Vega.

Solange Knowles was spotted leaving Tetou in Cannes on Sunday, where she had performed at the Vanity Fair and Chanel party looking outstanding wearing a look from the Stephane Rolland Spring 2013 collection which instantly restored my faith.

The sleek jumpsuit, as you know, is right up my alley. I love everything about this look, from the fit to the length, the smooth cream colour to the conical detailing around the neckline.

Factor in the bright-red lip and the superstar attitude and this look is easily one of my favourites from the festival – and there is not a red carpet in sight.

Paz Vega In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega In Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture - 'Jimmy P (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega took to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival at Grand Théâtre Lumière in France this evening.

I think Cheryl Cole had a lucky escape, because this Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture gown is just a mess.

The sheer part midway down the legs is what ruins it.

But overall it just looks unfinished and sloppy. Her lacklustre styling is not helping matters either.

This is my least favourite look so far both from the designer and the event.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Cheryl Cole In Zuhair Murad – ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Cheryl Cole In Zuhair Murad - 'Jimmy P (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Like Fan Bingbing on Wednesday, Cheryl Cole broke a long standing Cannes Film Festival tradition this evening at the ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)’ premiere.

The UK star, who usually only makes one appearance during this festival, opted not to wear Stéphane Rolland as expected; instead she wore a Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 gown.

Honestly, I’m not that surprised considering I failed to picture any of the looks from the recent Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture working for the petite singer.

This rich maroon sheer long-sleeve gown with beaded embellishments is more fitting to her Cannes glam style, with a sexy bouffant with a loose braid completing her look.

Last year the L’Oreal girls worked bold colours on the red carpet, however, this year it appears to be all about a more natural look.

Did Cheryl make the right gown choice?
