Solange Knowles In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Martell Cognac Celebrates Its 300th Anniversary

Solange Knowles attended Martell Cognac’s 300th anniversary event at the iconic Palace of Versailles on Wednesday (May 20) in Versailles, France.

The singer wore her second Stéphane Rolland Couture look in a row, this time selecting look from the Spring 2015 collection.

I was disappointed with Nieves Alvarez’ Cannes look, but this is more like it.

Modern, bold, chic and smouldering with intensity. The Solange-Rolland combo continues to be a winning combination for me.

The look was styled with Repossi and Kattri jewels.

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Shan He Gu Ren’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture - 'Shan He Gu Ren' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Nieves Alvarez attended the ‘Shan He Gu Ren’ (‘Mountains May Depart’) Premiere during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The Spanish beauty wore a look from Stéphane Rolland’s Spring 2015 Couture collection which has many gorgeous pieces, but I can’t get on board with this choice.

I’m mostly put off by the nude chiffon appliqués at the hem of her dress which don’t translate so well off the runway.

Perhaps my feeling towards this dress would’ve been more favourable had they been in a bolder colour like orange or red to look like a burning flame, but even then this dress just doesn’t live up to any of her previous Cannes offerings.

Solange Knowles In Stephane Rolland Couture – ‘Bessie’ LA Premiere

Solange Knowles In Stephane Rolland Couture - 'Bessie' LA Premiere
Solange Knowles attended the ‘Bessie’ premiere in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (May 14), where she performed a surprise show.

Showing that she needs neither colour nor print to make an impact, she donned a sleek Stephane Rolland Couture belted, asymmetrical dress, accessorized with matching nude Tamara Mellon sandals, a metallic Lee Savage clutch and Jennifer Fisher jewels.

I love the architecture of the cape that delivered both sophistication and directional edge.

2015 Malaga Film Festival Opening Ceremony

2015 Malaga Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Spanish stunners were out in force for the 18th Malaga Film Festival opening ceremony, hosted at the Cervantes Theater on Friday (April 17) in Malaga, Spain. Here, a roundup of the looks—many from Spanish designers, naturally—that took to the red carpet.

Manuela Velasco: The star’s pastel-blue Oscar de la Renta high-low gown with metallic flowers was surprisingly one of the more subtle, safe pieces on the red carpet. She reflected the silver in the dress with her Aquazzura pumps. She looked lovely with her sideswept waves yet something about this ensemble registered as too precious for Manuela.

Silvia Abascal: Nixing a gown, the actress took an edgier angle in a Stéphane Rolland Spring 2015 Couture white jumpsuit with golden sash embellishment paired with stacked Christian Louboutin shoes for added height. Carrera y Carrera jewels added a Spanish touch. In theory, I loved the artistry of this look with the swoosh of the long cape. But I cannot get past the nude illusion panel that sadly compromises the design.

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture – 2015 Goya Awards

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland - 2015 Goya Awards

Nieves Alvarez attended the 2015 Goya Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Saturday (February 7) in Madrid, Spain.

Ruling this red carpet like she has on so many occasions, the model took center stage sweeping the red carpet with her Stéphane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture tuxedo-inspired gown featuring a mesh bodice and dual colour black and white-clouds-breaking-the-storm skirt with shredded organza appliqués.

Her supremely elegant look was styled with Bulgari jewels and a black Christian Louboutin satin bow accented clutch.

I have to say I much prefer the red carpet styling with the nude lip and wavy faux bob.

She really is the master at her craft; looking drop-dead gorgeous on every possible occasion.
