Megan Montaner In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Dioses Y Perros’ Madrid Premiere

Megan Montaner In Stéphane Rolland Couture – 'Dioses Y Perros' Madrid Premiere

Megan Montaner attended the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Dioses Y Perros’ in Madrid, Spain yesterday evening (October 7).

I was not a fan of Stephane Rolland’s Fall 2014 Couture collection, but then Nieves Alvarez and Juana Acosta made me have a change of heart – but then this happened.

Sadly, this looks like a ‘Project Runway’ challenge gone horribly wrong; I’m afraid there’s nothing graceful, elegant or appealing about this look.

The star appliqués are very random, especially the gold one, and the shoes from the same collection are too heavy and frankly ugly. There is nothing I would save from this rather unfortunate look.

Juana Acosta In Andrew Gn & Stéphane Rolland – San Sebastian International Film Festival

Juana Acosta In Andrew Gn & Stéphane Rolland - San Sebastian International Film Festival

Juana Acosta continued her jury duty while attending a premiere during the San Sebastian International Film Festival this weekend.

‘Murieron Por Encima De Sus Posibilidades’ premiere: The actress wore an Andrew Gn Fall 2014 look. I love the lightweight feel of the look, plus the texture given to it via the feathers; however, it would’ve been interesting to see this look styled with accessories other than black.

62nd San Sebastian International Film Festival closing ceremony: On Sunday (September 27) the actress stunned again, this time wearing a Stéphane Rolland Couture white knit cape gown with appliqués in blue, silver and black at the hem of her skirt which, along with the cape, really bring this look alive. I didn’t ever think I would be so enamoured with a knit dress on the red carpet, but I’m floored. She perfected the the look with Baccara jewels, swept back hair and a dark-berry lip. Do you agree, or can you never get behind a knit dress on the red carpet?

Rita Ora In Stéphane Rolland Couture – Fashion Rocks 2014

Rita Ora In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Fashion Rocks 2014

Rita Ora also made a grand entrance when she took to the red carpet at Fashion Rocks 2014, presented by Three Lions Entertainment, at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on Tuesday (September 9) in New York.

She took the opportunity to play an extreme game of dress-up in a Stéphane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture gown that was every bit of an abstract art piece and architectural feat.

The black silhouetted bodice and illusion lining transitioned to a backless design, accented by spindly embellishment, before giving way to a full, tulle-laced tutu skirt underscored by a train of sheer black chiffon.

Adding her own signature quirk factor, the songstress put plenty of sass into the avant-garde sophistication of the design, wearing her platinum locks tied into a row of knots atop her head.

This strange mohawk-esque moment didn’t belong anywhere near the gown, and if there was ever a time for Rita to rock her signature red lip, this was it. I also longed for the skinny belt seen on the model for a waist-defining finish.

As with many of her looks, I’m sure this one will be a divisive design. With better styling, this statement would have been one intriguing fashion sculpture to not soon forget.

Shu Qi In Stéphane Rolland Couture – Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event

Shu Qi In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event

Shu Qi attended the Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event on Wednesday (September 3) in Beijing, China.

I love this ultra-feminine interpretation of the classic tuxedo, which was conjured up by French Couturier Stéphane Rolland.

The Spring 2014 ensemble came in two parts: a long ivory dress with a white bib and collar, complete with elegant tailcoat blazer adding much refinement to the look.

Actually, the word elegant doesn’t seem to do this look much justice, as it is on another level of elegance. I think this has to be one of her best ever looks.

The timepiece only gets a pass here because that is what Shu was promoting, but the red bracelet, which matches her juicy red lip, doesn’t.

Kate Walsh In Stephane Rolland – 2014 Emmy Awards

KateWalshInStephaneRolland2014Emmy Awards

Kate Walsh hit the red carpet of the 2014 Emmy Awards tonight (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The actress wore a bright yellow Stephane Rolland cap-sleeved gown from the designer’s Spring 2014 Couture collection.

To accompany the brightly hued gown, the actress wore a Jimmy Choo clutch, Stuart Weitzman shoes and some perfectly placed Chopard jewels.

This gown has so much going for it–I adore this shade of yellow on the red carpet, and the structural peplum is stunning. That said, it didn’t quite keep it’s perfect shape on the red carpet, which is sad.

Kate styled this impeccably–I love the diamond necklace, the fun mani and the dramatic eye makeup.

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture – Stéphane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture Presentation

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Stéphane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture Presentation

Nieves Alvarez attended the Stephane Rolland presentation held during Haute Couture Fashion Week at Cinema Elysées Biarritz on Tuesday (July 8) in Paris, France.

While I was really disappointed that the designer opted for a presentation instead of a show, the gorgeous Nieves was there to showcase one of the designer’s pieces

Looking as stunning as always, the model wore a retro-style red jumpsuit accented with gold fringed detail which wouldn’t look out of place on the dance floor at Studio 54.

Red pumps and a ear cuff completed her look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Nicola Peltz In Giambattista Valli Couture, Gren Wells In Stéphane Rolland Couture & Ansel Elgort In Valentino

BDOTW 30 June 2014

There was a two-way tie this week with two very different Couture looks taking top honours.

Nicola Peltz’ heavenly Giambattista Valli Couture and Gren Wells fashion-forward Stéphane Rolland Couture dress both had 21% of the votes.

My pick was also Gren for donning the most unique look this week and for restoring my faith in Stéphane Rolland following Li Bingbing’s gown.

When it came to the fellas Ansel Elgort was the clear winner taking 43% of the votes for his military inspired Valentino look.
