Maria Sharapova In Stella McCartney - 'Mademoiselle C' New York Premiere

Maria Sharapova joined Miranda Kerr on the red carpet at Florence Gould Hall for the ‘Mademoiselle C’ New York premiere on Friday evening.

The tennis star known for her love of colour, cute dresses and London-based designers only ticked one of those boxes on this occasion.

She wore a Stella McCartney Fall 2013 jacquard tailored gilet with matching trousers, which she styled with black accessories.

If the fit was more slender, especially in the pants, this would’ve been a winning look for me.

All-in-all I don’t really like this on Maria. It’s nice that she tried something different, but I don’t think it’s in tune with her usual style.

Thandie Newton In Stella McCartney - 'Half of a Yellow Sun' Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

Thandie Newton attended the ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ premiere during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival held at the Winter Garden Theatre on Sunday in Toronto, Canada, where she announced that she is pregnant with her third child.

Unlike fellow Brit Kate Winslet, who is in full bloom, Thandie is yet to show, or her Stella McCartney black-and-white wave colour-block sheath dress is doing an amazing job of concealing her baby bump.

Stella McCartney black ankle-strap platform shoes with a Stella McCartney gold clutch and diamond earrings accessorized her look.

The stylish mum-to-be wore her hair back in a slick bun, with her usual makeup routine of a soft and neutral colour palette providing the finishing touch.

Eve Hewson's Three Looks In One Day @ Toronto Film Festival

Eve Hewson, young starlet and daughter of Bono, also played a quick-change artist at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday in Canada. She trotted out a trendy trio of looks, switching from conservative to more cutting-edge along the way.

‘Enough Said’ Portraits: Posing at the Guess Portrait Studio, the actress put on the same Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 ensemble we recently saw on Fan Bingbing. That she didn’t wear a black wig or chunky-clunky platforms immediately improved this demure green, cashmere top and silk floral skirt. But I still wasn’t in love with the lacklustre styling.

‘Enough Said’ Premiere: Upping the sophisticated appeal, she matched a Stella McCartney embellished-collar top with a barely blush J. Mendel layered skirt at the premiere, hosted at The Elgin. A Louis Vuitton clutch fit right in, with crimson Casadei pumps providing a bold, unexpected way to finish the look. Red-haute or red-not?

Fox Searchlight TIFF party: At the event, held at Spice Route, Eve again opted for Stella McCartney, this time showing her style stripes in a black, dropped-waist Resort 2014 top and Pre-Fall 2013 skirt. A sleek, black Smythson envelope clutch accessorized the monochromatic look, although I was really applauding the magenta lippie, especially in the face of those plain black pumps.

Kerry Washington In Stella McCartney - Project Runway Spring 2014 Fashion Show

Kerry Washington took her front-row seat alongside the Project Runway judges for the designers’ Spring 2014 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week held at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City earlier today.

Looking as lovely as ever, the ‘Scandal’ actress wore her second look from the Stella McCartney Resort 2014 collection, selecting a blush-coloured floral-print frock with a square-cut plunge and gathered waist.

Considering the rouge floral print, she styled her look with red leather Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps, opting to go in the other direction when it came to the lip colour by applying a glossy flesh colour with a dark lip liner.

Kohl-rimmed eyes and a wavy faux bob completed her dainty look.

Elisa Sednaoui In Stella McCartney - 'Under The Skin' Venice Film Festival Premiere

Elisa Sednaoui joined Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy yesterday evening for the ‘Under The Skin’ premiere held during the 2013 Venice Film Festival.

The model wore a royal-purple-orange-pink-and-red colour-block Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 long-sleeved gown with a floor-sweeping hem, which is a playful take on the traditional column silhouette broken up with colour-clashing geometric panels in crepe and velvet.

Wearing such an impactful piece, Elisa kept her accessories to a minimum to ensure this dress took centre stage.

I have a feeling many won’t be screaming BDOTW for this look; while it is not my favourite, she certainly stood out.

Venice Film Festival Weekend Round Up

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other looks which graced the red carpet during the 2013 Venice Film Festival this weekend.

Vanessa Hessler: The actress attended the ‘Premio Kineo’ red carpet event wearing a Zuhair Murad nude and black-netted gown which should be familiar to you. That’s because Lily Collins wore the shorter version of this dress last week during her promo tour. The dramatic piece was simply styled with complementary black accessories.

Anna Safroncik: The Ukrainian actress shimmered in an ocean-blue Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 chiffon-and-lamé gown, with an illusion panel which doesn’t create much of an illusion around the neckline ruining the overall effect.

Maria Roveran: The actress could’ve worn just the LBD from Moga e Mago’s Fall 2013 collection but she saw the designers’ vision through by wearing the gold-studded leather sleeves, which she completed with a futuristic Kzeniya gold clutch.

Sophie Kennedy Clark: The Scottish actress gave this striped Stella McCartney jumpsuit its third red carpet outing following Jennifer Lawrence and Rila Fukushima. As this is her second Stella McCartney look of this festival, it appears she has a good relationship with the brand to have had a wide range of looks to select from, so with that in mind I’m a bit disappointed to see this look for a third time. On the plus side, she wore it better than Jennifer Lawrence with her styling. But Rila is still my overall favourite in this look, putting the ‘F’ into fierce.
