Stella McCartney In Stella McCartney – Investiture Ceremony

Stella McCartney In Stella McCartney - Investiture Ceremony

Stella McCartney was accompanied by her husband, Alasdhair Willis, to Buckingham Palace in London today, where the 41-year-old designer collected her OBE for services to fashion from the Queen.

Wearing a chic navy cinched bespoke skirt suit of her own design, Stella added a delicately veiled vintage Cartier headpiece and blue velvet pumps which are also of her own design.

A perfect brand ambassador if ever I saw one.

Miranda Cosgrove In Stella McCartney – 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Miranda Cosgrove In Stella McCartney - 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

I was surprised to see Miranda Cosgrove bucking the mini dress trend on the red carpet at the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, held at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on Saturday evening.

That’s because mini dresses were very much the actress’ red carpet staple, but on this occasion she wore a Stella McCartney Spring 2013 abstract printed frock.

The delicate organza dress was completed with a pair of patent blue Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes and a light-blue sparkling Jimmy Choo clutch.

A gorgeous smile, highlighted wavy locks and flawless makeup completed her look.

This is one of her best ever looks. Do you agree?

Celebrities Love…Stella McCartney Oversized Cat-Eye Sunglasses

Stella McCartney Cat Eye Sunglasses

Oversized cat-eye sunglasses aren’t new by any means, but celebrities can’t get enough of those designed by Stella McCartney.

It would appear that celebs love her sunglasses as much as they do her clothes.

Part of a new eco-friendly collection, the sunglasses feature sustainable elements made from natural, raw materials, and will add a touch of effortless glamour to your look.

The oversized frames – which are shaped into a rounded cat eye, with a v-shaped nose bridge – come in a selection of frames; from simple black, favoured by Anne Hathaway. metallic-outlined helped Jessica Alba keep the paparazzi at bay; mottled cream-and-black, as rocked by Kate Moss; and beige, which have become Kirsten Dunst’s favourite.

The Stella McCartney cat-eye sunglasses are a timeless piece which will remain in your collection for years.

Fotogramas Awards 2013 Red Carpet Round Up

Fotogramas Awards 2013

Here are some more great looks from Monday night’s Fotogramas Awards 2013, held at the Joy Eslava Club in Madrid, Spain. I was surprised by the amount of re-runs.

Celia Freijeiro: The actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2010 silver lurex wrap dress with a lace trim, which we first saw on the gorgeous Charlize Theron back in November, 2009. She styled the look with Jimmy Choo ‘Dream’ elaphe sandals from the Spring 2013 collection with multi-coloured tassels, and a purple sequinned clutch. The accessories and her bold lip colour bring down the look.

Dafne Fernandez: Second only to Nieves Alvarez when it comes to my favourite Spanish stars, the actress wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 black-and-white-striped dress which we’ve seen on Nicole Richie. Dafne’s styling of her look was more favourable than Celia’s as Dafne opted for sleek black sandals, a matching clutch, gold hooped earrings and a red pout.

Nerea Garmendia: The next re-run came courtesy of this Michael Kors optic-white top with silver embroidery, optic-white shorts and a silver belt from the Spring 2013 collection, which we saw with gold embroidery on Nina Dobrev. Chartreuse Jimmy Choo bow-accented pumps, a silver Jimmy Choo clutch and Yanes jewels accessorized the look. The shoes upstaged the rest of the look don’t you think?

Blanca Suarez: The final re-run was an Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 dress, which we have seen on Kate Bosworth. Unlike Kate, Blanca opted for colour, adding hot-pink shoes, gold accessories, plus red nails and red lips.

Jessica Biel In Stella McCartney – Out In West Hollywood

Jessica Biel In Stella McCartney

Jessica Biel looked divine as she made her way to a baby shower in West Hollywood last month.

You may think I’m a tad harsh when it comes to Jessica’s style, but that’s only because I always want her to do better.

On this occasion her look is faultless.

I love everything, from her Stella McCartney Spring 2013 abstract-print dress with an organza overlay, to her bright-orange Tod’s bag and classic nude pumps.

Tending not to opt for prints or bright colours too often, she mixes them well with this look.

She has been quoted as saying that hubby Justin Timberlake picks out her clothes. While that might be true, if I was her I would take credit for this look.

Pace Wu’s Fall 2013 Paris Fashion Week

Pace Wu PFW1

She did it again: Pace Wu was the Queen of Paris Fashion Week. This time she took in twelve shows giving twelve amazing front row looks.

Long may she reign.

Carven: She started off her fashionable week last Thursday at the Carven Fall 2013 presentation dressed in a summery organza cut-out embroidered dress from the Spring 2013 collection. Giving the pretty frock an edge, she styled the look with an interesting black clutch, which mimics the design on her dress, and open-toe lace booties.

Lanvin: Even though she looks divine, this chartreuse asymmetrical mini dress with a black bow on the shoulder from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with the same Lanvin ‘Arpege’ minaudiere the model carried on the runway, was my least favourite, as I’m not so crazy about the colour.

Viktor & Rolf: I adore this chic blue satin gown with a bow accent from the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2013 collection, but I wish she hadn’t opted for the white blazer as I’m curious to see the whole look, which differed from the gown which took to the runway. She styled her look with her favourite Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ ankle-strap platform peep-toes and a pink clutch.

Paris Fashion Week Front Row Trend: Black and White

Black and White Celebrity Trend

What’s black and white and seated front row at Paris fashion week?

Celebs, of course.

One of the major trends which reigned supreme at the Spring 2013 shows was black and white, ranging from mod 60s looks at Prada and Louis Vuitton, stripes at Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana and Michael Kors, and classic pieces at Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Saint Laurent, with Alexander Wang, Balmain, Narciso Rodriguez, Victoria Beckham, Jil Sander, and Moschino also sending solid, patterned or striped black-and-white looks down the runway.

The celebs who have championed this trend this week were Nicole Richie, who attended both the Stella McCartney and Givenchy shows in black and white, and Jessica Alba, who also rocked the trend at Stella McCartney and Valentino.

Black and White Celebrity Trend2

Chanel’s front row is one place we shouldn’t be surprised to see celebs showcasing this Spring 2013 trend. The elegant Jessica Chastain wore a white ruffled blouse with a pencil skirt, while Milla Jovovich rocked a masculine black-and-white pant look.

Usually one to start trends, Anna Dello Russo also took to the front row at Chanel wearing a playful black-and-white look, which would’ve been better suited to Elle Fanning, methinks.

The best thing about this trend is that it’s easy to wear and affordable. You can rock it with the simplest staples, like vest tops, tees, skirts, pants and dresses.

Stripes might be the hardest look to rock; take it too far and you could end up looking like you are wearing prison stripes.
