Nice Airport Arrivals

Nice airport has been a hotbed of activity in the lead up to Cannes Film Festival.

Elle Fanning: Comfortable and chic in Miu Miu, I love how the cat-eye shades amp up the retro vibe of her look.

Eva Herzigova: We’ve missed seeing Roberto Cavalli at Cannes the past few years, so I’m hopeful Eva’s ’70s inspired Resort 2017 look signals a return by the Italian brand to this grand stage. Cannes without Cavalli is like having a high powered car and never taking it for a spin.

Marion Cotillard: Yes, Marion is bound to wear Dior during this festival, but she usually saves that for the premieres, so I’m looking forward to seeing who she wears to photocalls and the Chopard party. She arrived looking very casual in a plaid R13 Tie-front plaid flannel shirt dress.

Zawe Ashton In Stella McCartney – Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards

I’m a huge fan of Zawe Ashton’s style, but when I saw her at the Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards yesterday (May 14) in London, my reaction was “not again”.

You see, we’ve seen this Stella McCartney cape gown three times now.

Firstly on Karlie Kloss, and then again two weeks ago Queen Letizia of Spain also wore it in red.

This is such a rare big event in the UK, so I wish Zawe had delivered something more memorable for the right reasons.

I’m all for a colourful shoes, but I find her suede purple option jarring on this occasion.

Gisele Bundchen In Stella McCartney – David Lynch Foundation’s Women of Vision Awards

What struck me most about Gisele Bundchen at the David Lynch Foundation’s Women of Vision Awards was that I can’t remember the last time –
if ever- that I’ve seen her in a suit on the red carpet – I even Googled “Gisele Bundchen suit” to confirm, and I was right.

So May 9th marks a first for the supermodel, and what better way to start out than with Savile Row trained Stella McCartney.

Her understated ivory suit epitomizes the label’s feminine aesthetic. Clean cut and designed to flatter, it’s an elegant and refreshing change to the fitted minis she tends to favour.

The look was styled with a Stella McCartney marble clutch, pointy pumps (I wasn’t crazy about) and wavy tresses which I would’ve liked pulled back for a supremely neat finish.

Audi Polo Challenge

The Audi Polo Challenge was on Sunday (May 7) in Ascot, United Kingdom, with a few stars in attendance to watch the sporting match.

Emma Stone: The actress got into the spirit of the day with the relaxed silhouette of a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2017 printed ruffle blouse and skirt along with a contrasting plaid jacket, which she styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals.

Ella Eyre: With a completely different fashion outlook, Ella took a more outspoken, graphic approach in a boldly hued Minnan Hui abstract-printed dress paired with corresponding metallic Jimmy Choo heels and clutch along with Monica Vinader jewels. I’m not sure the look said polo to me, but it did pack a punch.

Gemma Arterton: The tailored seaming of the Victoria, Victoria Beckham top and the racing stripes down the pants emphasized a feminine yet sporty silhouette. A glossy clutch, Jimmy Choo heels and head scarf polished off the look in effortlessly chic form.

Planned Parenthood 100th Anniversary Gala

More stars joined Scarlett Johnansson at the Planned Parenthood 100th Anniversary Gala on Tuesday (May 2) in New York City.

America Ferrera: The actress was thinking pink in her custom Kate Spade New York blazer and black high-waisted trousers. The peek-a-boo bra added feminine allure to the tailored look, with a bespoke Edie Parker “PP 100” clutch honouring the occasion.

Halsey: Judging from the other looks at the event, Halsey went a bit too over-the-top with this sheer, embellished Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2017 gown. Its look-at-me quality wouldn’t have been out of place on the models at the Met Gala the night before.

Grace Gummer: All attention was on this Jacquemus Spring 2017 ruched blouse and its retro polka dots, as it was styled simply with menswear-inspired, cropped trousers and clear flats. Despite the intentionally long, puff sleeves, I do wish they had appeared better tailored.

Kate Hudson & Naomi Watts In Stella McCartney – 2017 Met Gala

Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts were the yin and yang of the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Both dressed in Stella McCartney, they certainly took the prize for minimalist-chic, cool-girl looks of the night.

Kate Hudson: Her asymmetric white gown captured my affection for its sleek silhouette juxtaposed against the robe-like sleeve. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it fit her like a dream and her powdered, platinum updo added just the right thematic finish.

Naomi Watts: She played the sophisticated-sultry siren in this mesh-laced black gown, styled with an on-trend wavy bob for a girl-meets-glam statement—with an edge.
