‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Closing Ceremony Red Carpet Roundup

Lovely ladies joined Khadja Nin, Cate BlanchettKristen Stewart and Olga Kurylenko at ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ premiere and Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony on Saturday (May 19).

Léa Seydoux: Going for a bold, glittering finish, the French actress was outfitted in a Louis Vuitton dress and shoes. There have been some critics of the designer of late, but I’m hoping this shimmering, sensual silver style will go down favorably.

Ava DuVernay: The director oozed sophistication in a custom Stella McCartney gown. This rich maroon is divine with her complexion and the sweeping shoulder detail has such refined elegance.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Stella McCartney – Royal Wedding Reception

After walking down the aisle in a supremely elegant Givenchy gown, designed by Clare Waight Keller, Meghan Markle – Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex – stepped out in Windsor, England on Saturday (May 19) for the royal wedding reception.

As she and Prince Harry left Windsor Castle for Frogmore House, she wore a Stella McCartney bespoke dress.

It carried the same minimalist elegance of her previous look, which feels very true to who she is and her personal style. Plus, it continued to champion female fashion designers.

She added a subtle hint of colour to the halterneck style via Aquazzura satin shoes with baby blue soles and an aquamarine ring that belonged to the late Princess Diana.

Are you as enchanted with this look?

Amal Clooney In Stella McCartney – Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding

Amal and George Clooney brought Hollywood regality to Winsdor Castle for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle today (May 19).

Amal made me swoon wearing a bespoke Stella McCartney honey yellow midi dress with side drape detail, styled with a Stephen Jones head dress, TALA bespoke clutch and Aquazzara gold pumps.

I absolutely love Amal’s style as she not afraid to dress, or overdress, for the occasion because she dressing to match the powerful confident woman that she is.

It may not be the best dress at this event, but she was the best dressed, if you catch my drift.

George was clad in Giorgio Armani.

Oprah Winfrey In Stella McCartney – Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding

Oprah Winfrey joined the Beckhams at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle before the royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle this morning (May 19) in Windsor, England.

Now this is more like it.

Her blush double tiered dress with lace trim made of sustainable viscose knit is a bespoke creation by Stella McCartney.

I know many of you aren’t fans of the British designer, but you have to agree this was elegant, ultra feminine, flattering and perfect for the occasion.

When it comes to the look, I’m particularly bowled over by the matchy matchy accessories.

Mules, a fantastic hat with a floral explosion plus a contemporary Gabriela Hearst ‘Demi’ bag completed her look.

Everything about this scream Sunday best church attire. She nailed it.

Models @ amfAR Gala Cannes 2018

With the limited showing of actresses – Kristen Stewart, Laura Harrier and Coco Konig – at the amfAR Cannes Gala this year, it was left to the models to provide the glamour.

Maria Borges: It’s been so great to see Roberto Cavalli back on the red carpet at Cannes. Maria was one of many models to don a look from the Couture collection this year. This platinum piece dripping with citrine micro-crystals and draped fringes was as dazzling as she was radiant.

Karolina Kurkova: Always a cut above, the model looked very elegant and sexy in her Miu Miu column dress which she perfectly accessorized with Miu Miu shoes and drop diamond earrings to complement the Swarovski crystal bow.

Sara Sampaio: Even the models outstretch leg couldn’t upstage the dazzling sheen of her pleated lame Elie Saab Resort 2018 blue gown.

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney – 2018 Cannes Film Festival Jury Photocall

I usually like to close one event before starting another one, but the fashion gods decided that there is no just thing as too much fashion, so we are rolling (or overlapping) from the Met Gala straight into Cannes.

And we start with the Jury President of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival: Cate Blanchett.

Considering this Stella McCartney pale pink suit is bespoke, the fit isn’t as perfect as it should be.

I’m seeing pulls, bagginess under the arms and other minor imperfections, but I’m willing to overlook them all as I love the fresh hue and the silhouette, plus I adore the Andy Wolf pink acetate ‘Grace’ cat-eye shade she wore with the look, along with Aquazzura Eclipse pumps.
