Elle’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

Elle’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the attendees from Elle’s 21st annual Women In Hollywood celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 20) in Beverly Hills, California.

Renee Zellweger: I honestly didn’t recognise Renee. It’s the hair that threw me: for such a long time the actress has been perfect from the neck down, never paying much attention to her hair; however on this occasion her golden locks were teased into lovely waves. Dressed in a Carolina Herrera LBD with lace sleeves, the look was styled with gold accessories for a festive flourish.

Bella Thorne: The teen star wore a mustard-hued Gucci Fall 2014 dress styled with a mish-mash of accessories including nude peep-toes and a black clutch. I think black sandals would’ve worked better here.

Liberty Ross: The model wore a vintage Versace black dress with a plunging neckline and sexy open back, plus a tan leather panel around the waist which is throwing me off liking this look. Most bizarre addition. Especially when you see it from the back.

Reese Witherspoon In Giambattista Valli & Stella McCartney – ‘Wild’ London Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Giambattista Valli & Stella McCartney - 'Wild' London Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Reese Witherspoon was in England to promote her latest movie, ‘Wild’, during the 58th BFI London Film Festival on Monday (October 13).

Photocall: Her day started at the May Fair Hotel, where she attended a photocall for the movie wearing a Giambattista Valli Resort 2015 black dress. Even with alluring sheer inserts, this look is still very refined, especially when styled with simple black patent-leather pumps.

Premiere: Later that same evening Reese donned a Stella McCartney gown for the premiere. Stella gowns are usually graced with a compelling femininity. Sadly, though, I’m not a fan of the contrasting elements on the bodice on this occasion; with the two animal prints, lace, and the sheer panel, there is just too much going on. It just doesn’t work for me.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Amal Alamuddin In Stella McCartney & Cate Blanchett In Giambattista Valli Couture

Best Dressed Of The Week - Amal Alamuddin In Stella McCartney & Cate Blanchett In Giambattista Valli Couture

From Amal Alamuddin’s wedding to George Clooney, her Stella McCartney suit was not only your favourite from the festivities, but also won best-dressed of the week, beating the usually unbeatable Cate Blanchett.

Swept away by Amal’s grace and effortless style, this look had us begging for more. With awards season just around the corner, we might just get our wish.

Despite an unusually, uncharacteristically poor week from Cate Blanchett, her one hit in Giambattista Valli Couture was enough for me to crown her BDOTW. Let’s pray this was an off week and she’s back on top form very soon.

Amal Alamuddin In Stella McCartney – Civil Ceremony

Amal Alamuddin In Stella McCartney - Civil Ceremony

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding has had so much attention that you could liken it to a royal wedding.

The newlyweds were spotted at Venice City Hall on Monday (September 29) for their civil ceremony, looking very much in love.

Amal, who is swiftly becoming a style icon, was looking impossibly chic wearing a white two-piece Stella McCartney bespoke suit with black trim, a detail which also features on her hat.

You can’t help but admire the simplicity of the look, the clean lines and how statuesque she looks. That hat really elevates the look into screen-siren territory. I think this might be my favourite from this wedding bonanza of fashion.

The look was complete with a Stella McCartney ‘Beckett’ clutch and cream peep-toes.

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney – 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney - 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening
Cate Blanchett returned to the scene for the 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening during the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday (September 27) in Zurich, Switzerland.

The actress continued her affinity for Stella McCartney, also seen earlier this month, this time donning a textural, nubby-print blue dress from the designer’s Resort 2015 collection.

Retro with oversize tonal buttons and side pockets, the frock featured a free and easy silhouette while riffing on the midriff trend with a triangular cutout. Dark mahogany pumps also played into the vintage-inspired mood, while she completed the look with what was no doubt an IWC watch.

Perhaps it could have looked mumsy on many (or most), but Cate still managed to carry off the piece with her signature elegance and grace. And once those statement shades came off, she couldn’t have looked more radiant with her pretty pink lip.

Does she make this look work?

Kerry Washington In Giles, Stella McCartney & Preen – ‘Scandal’ New York Promo Tour

Kerry Washington In Giles, Stella McCartney & Preen - 'Scandal' New York Promo Tour

With Season 4 of ‘Scandal’ airing on ABC on Thursday, Kerry Washington continued her promotional efforts by making a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’, ‘Live With Kelly & Michael’ and ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’.

Good Morning America: Opting for Giles again, the yellow hue has me longing for the early days of spring. Styled with her self-designed Allstate Foundation purple purse, she once again complemented the purse with plum Casadei pumps.

Live With Kelly & Michael: Pretty in pink on this occasion, she wore a Stella McCartney sleeveless dress featuring a modest cut-out detail. You’d be forgiven if you thought this was Cushnie et Ochs, as this dress very much fits their M.O. SJP Collection blue pumps provide a striking contrast, with Jennifer Meyer jewels rounding out her look.

The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon: This was my favourite of the bunch. I adore this playful dotted Preen ‘Liberty’ Resort 2015 dress in patriotic red, white and blue featuring a contrasting back and sleeves and a red waistband. I love how fresh this look feels, especially when given a kick with those gorgeous flame-red Louboutins. A white Thalé Blanc clutch rounded out her look.

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better…Shailene Woodley or Jenny McCarthy?

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better Shailene Woodley or Jenny McCarthy

Shailene Woodley attended the London premiere of ‘Divergent’ back in March wearing a Stella McCartney capri-blue gown featuring an open back and traced with delicate lace which she styled with a gold armlet and necklace.

Jenny McCarthy wore the same gown recently to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, adding bold statement earrings and a matching diamante clutch.

Jenny’s gorgeous curves certainly fill out this gown, but I love the youthful flair Shailene brings to this frock.
