Skai Jackson In Self-Portrait – harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue Event

What a bundle of joy Skai Jackson and her red carpet style is turning out to be.

We may have only liked her previous look from waist up, but her Self-Portrait Spring 2017 dress stood out at the harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue event on Wednesday (April 26) in LA.

This coral-pink mini dress, crafted from the brands signature guipure-lace, might just be her best look yet.

I love how the asymmetric elements add a contemporary take on feminine definition; with the modern feel elevated with a pair of rainbow heels.

It’s official. I’m in love Skai’s style.

Jessica Biel In Self-Portrait – ‘The Sinner’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Biel attended ‘The Sinner’ premiere during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday (April 25) in New York City, as both executive producer and cast member.

I sat and looked at this one for a while.

I have admittedly never truely warmed to Jessica’s style, but she was wearing one of my favourite brands – Self-Portrait – so I wanted to wait for the moment of excitement to kick in.

I’m still waiting.

Even with the uniqueness and cascading ruffles adorning this Fall 2017 look I feel totally underwhelmed.

Perhaps the juxtaposition of the flamenco style dress with the stuffy Prince of Wales check is the issue, or perhaps it’s the styling.

Thoughts?

Karen Gillan In Self-Portrait – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ London Premiere

Karen Gillan showcased her love for asymmetry once again for the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ premiere on Monday (April 24) in London.

I love how this Self-Portrait Fall 2017 frock put a tough edge into lace and ruffles—and that it glittered like the starry night sky.

The Scottish actress styled it perfectly with galactic Giuseppe Zanotti silver sandals and a wispy high ponytail.

‘Magic Mike Live Las Vegas’ Grand Opening

Cody Horn, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Jenna Dewan-Tatum provided some eye candy for the testosterone-fuelled grand opening of ‘Magic Mike Live Las Vegas’ at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday (April 21) in Nevada.

Cody Horn: The actress’s tone legs have always been her best asset; and what better way to show them off than a velvet blue Self-Portrait Fall 2017 short suit with sassy leg lengthening Sergio Rossi sandals.

Emmanuelle Chriqui: The actress was ready for combat wearing L’Agence camo shirt dress with an Edie Parker clutch. I really love the way she styled this look with the body jewellery, which did little to distract from the wide opening of her shirt dress.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum: No prizes for guessing that Jenna was wearing Julien MacDonald, as these web-like creations continue to make up the majority of this runway collections. I already know this Fall 2017 dress won’t go down well with the majority, but I have to say she looks pretty outstanding to me.

Gwen Stefani In Self-Portrait – Easter Church Service

Gwen Stefani was spotted out in LA bringing her unique style to Easter service on Sunday (April 16).

Decked out in pure white, Gwen wore a Self-Portrait Resort 2017 dress which exudes classical femininity within a contemporary design.

I have never been a fan of white tights and I often have an aversion to black pumps, however, Gwen’s is selling this look to me in its entirety.

Emily Robinson Loves….White Dresses

White is the new black for up-and-coming starlet Emily Robinson, who’s seemingly never met a white dress she doesn’t like.

What makes her frequent choice of the colour so successful is that, despite the monochrome mood, each and every frock is quite varied as can be seen in the mix of silhouette, styling, and textural dimension in three of her recent looks.

Look 1: With this Carolina Herrera dress, she maintained the epitome of both youthful innocence and ladylike sophistication, with the effortless statement only enhanced by the subtle glitz of embellished metallic heels.

Look 2: A frilled Red Valentino frock was all about schoolgirl charm married with a side of all-grown-up allure.

Look 3: With a nod to the girly lace for which the Self-Portait label is known, this dress ensured plenty of visual interest with its mix of patterns and textures—all topped off with ankle-tie Stella Luna sandals.

You may remember that we even saw the actress’s affinity for white dresses early on, with a floral-printed white look at the 2015 Emmy Awards.

Has she left you inspired to start the spring season on a white note?

Elizabeth Banks In Self-Portrait & Zuhair Murad Couture – Hollywood Walk of Fame for Haim Saban & ‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks joined Naomi Scott for the promo tour for ‘Power Rangers’ starting with the Star Ceremony on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame honoring Haim Saban, before last night’s premiere in LA.

Star Ceremony on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame Honoring Haim Saban: Self-Portrait’s charming feminine aesthetic was on full display in this Spring 2017 striped dress. I love how the asymmetric ruffles and off center placket add some contemporary appeal, however, I’m not a fan of the side-tie detail of her Stella Luna ‘Carioca’ white sandals.

‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere: Why do I love Elizabeth’s Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture look? 1. For its vibrant blue hue. 2. The shimmer from the beaded embellishments and 3. The 80s retro appeal. Charlotte Olympia platform shoes don’t really appeal, but the rest of the styling including an Edie Parker clutch added the final touch to this solid look.
