‘The Glass Castle’ New York Screening Red Carpet Roundup

‘The Glass Castle’ New York screening on Wednesday (August 9) brought out a trio of other stars to join Brie Larson and Naomi Watts.

Sarah Snook: Like Brie, Sarah also took a more fairytale-forward approach in her J. Mendel Fall 2017 glittering gold chiffon gown. However, the romance was forfeited with its rather sheer quality that left little to the imagination throughout. The silver heels were also a clashing finish.

Max Greenfield: A bit smoother tailoring might have been beneficial for this Salvatore Ferragamo suit, but I still loved this particular shade of sky-blue on Max.

Brigette Lundy Paine: While Brigette didn’t look all the impressed, I still found the mix of lace motifs in her Chloe Fall 2017 frock to have a certain charming intrigue when styled in such a streamlined, minimal fashion so as not to overwhelm the look.

Who Wore Salvatore Ferragamo Better? Karlie Kloss or Yang Mi?

Karlie Kloss teamed her Salvatore Ferragamo leather skirt with a Hanes x Karla white t-shirt styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, while Yang Mi opted for a black crop top, styling her look with a Zana Bayne leather harness and Saint Laurent sandals.

Many of you had wished Karlie had worn a dark t-shirt as presented on the runway, so I’m intrigue to see if Yang’s look works for you, or if you’re put off by the styling.

I love the addition of the harness, as it gives the look a whole new dimension. Plus the look works better with a cropped t-shirt so Yang wins for me.

Karlie Kloss In Salvatore Ferragamo – Hanes x Karla Launch Party

Karlie Kloss attended the Hanes x Karla Launch Party on Thursday (August 3) in LA hosted by her stylist Karla Welch.

I love how the standard pencil skirt sees a new after-dark direction with a risqué slit to the upper thigh in this Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2017 leather skirt.

It’s such a hero piece that the Hanes t-shirt was the right fit, along with the simple Giuseppe Zanotti strappy sandals.

Have any of you come around to her platinum blonde tresses?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The femmes have been joined by the fellows at a variety of red-carpet occasions this past week.

Dylan Minnette: Alongside the ladies at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Wednesday (August 2), Dylan impressed in an Ermenegildo Zegna aubergine suit styled with a patterned paisley shirt. His patent shoes ensured a trendy, youthful finish.

Idris Elba: After his last style-forward outing, ‘The Dark Tower’ actor took a more basic turn in a Burberry polo shirt and slacks for an appearance on ‘Despierta America’ on Wednesday (August 2) in Miami. The slightly mismatched navy hues between the shirt and pants had me colour-correcting this ensemble in my head.

Jeremy Renner: Jeremy continued in fine form when he joined Elizabeth Olsen for the ‘Wind River’ screening in New York. This navy suit was all about sharp, precise formality and polish.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here, a quick catch-up on the menswear looks that have taken to the red carpet over the past few days.

Dane DeHaan: Dane joined Cara Delevingne and Rihanna at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere in London on Monday (July 24). With the girls bringing plenty of drama, he didn’t skimp on a bit of style-forward punch in his Prada double-breasted suite with an artsy, graphic shirt underneath.

Jack O’Connell: Joining Sienna Miller, I can only surmise that Jack was playing into the ’50s setting of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ at the play’s press night after party on Monday (July 24) in London, as the styling of this Burberry ensemble with the undershirt and cropped trousers had more vintage influences than modern ones.

Clive Owen: Also at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere, Clive kept it traditional in a Giorgio Armani suit that was nice if nothing to write home about.
