Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here, a quick catch-up on the menswear looks that have taken to the red carpet over the past few days.

Dane DeHaan: Dane joined Cara Delevingne and Rihanna at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere in London on Monday (July 24). With the girls bringing plenty of drama, he didn’t skimp on a bit of style-forward punch in his Prada double-breasted suite with an artsy, graphic shirt underneath.

Jack O’Connell: Joining Sienna Miller, I can only surmise that Jack was playing into the ’50s setting of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ at the play’s press night after party on Monday (July 24) in London, as the styling of this Burberry ensemble with the undershirt and cropped trousers had more vintage influences than modern ones.

Clive Owen: Also at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere, Clive kept it traditional in a Giorgio Armani suit that was nice if nothing to write home about.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were a number of men who made an impression at the 2017 BET Awards in LA. But, away from that event, there were more fellows who have made an impression on the red carpet.

Chadwick Boseman: First up, Chadwick scored a style slam dunk at the 2017 NBA Awards on Monday (June 26) in New York City. This Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 striped suit was a seasonal, refreshing alternative to the standard-issue colours of black, navy, and charcoal. Plus, I love that he skipped the tie on this sleek dress shirt.

Filipe Valle Costa: At the premiere of FX’s ‘Snowfall,’ on Monday (June 26) in LA, Filipe looked sharp in a David Hart Fall 2017 suit styled with Cesare Pacciotti shoes and a Rolex timepiece. The festive plaid did seem a bit heavy, but he lightened the mood with his unbuttoned, white dress shirt.

Miles Brown: I’m not sure it could get any more adorable than Miles who was also at the 2017 NBA Awards. With his custom TO Collection suit, paired with Florsheim shoes, he gets major style points. He wears bold plaid and a bow tie better than men three times his age.

Janelle Monáe In Salvatore Ferragamo – 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Janelle Monáe cut a visually arresting profile at the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 25) in Santa Monica, California.

She has been flirting back and forth with colour, but here she returned to her signature black-and-white theme polished off with her red lip.

Her style obsession with clashing patterns, including checkerboard and stripes, played a starring role in this Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2016 ensemble that merged together a coat and dress, all styled with a similarly geometric Emm Kuo ‘Gehry’ clutch.

Even with the cacophony of loud and proud patterns, her ivory beaded shoes constantly drew my attention to her feet—and, yes, her pedicure featured a black-and-white printed motif, as she’s not one to do anything halfway.

That said, the Christian Louboutin ‘Tudor Bal’ sandals looked like they belonged to an entirely different outfit. What do you make of them?

Mandy Moore In Salvatore Ferragamo – 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards

The minute Mandy Moore stepped on the red carpet of the 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Beverly Hills, she made a striking impression.

The chic streak that she has served up so far this year shows no sign of waning.

Again swapping her more signature girly frocks for an edgier offering, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Salvatore Ferragamo suit that balanced masculine tailoring and feminine sex appeal with the peek-a-boo bra.

The cropped pants gave ample room for her Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Jewel Eden Hexagon’ pumps to shine, tying the look together with a Lee Savage metallic clutch.

A sleek bun and dark cranberry lip added another layer of compelling intrigue.

Karolina Kurkova In Salvatore Ferragamo & Michael Kors – Da Vinci Collection by IWC Schaffhausen Launch

Karolina Kurkova also attended the Da Vinci Collection by IWC Schaffhausen launch before heading to the ‘Decoding the Beauty of Time’ Gala Dinner by IWC Schaffhausen at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, each on Tuesday (January 17) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Da Vinci Collection Launch: Karolina brought a ray of sunshine to the black carpet with this Salvatore Ferragamo vibrant yellow, backless dress. It was a bold departure from some of the subtler monochromatic looks we’ve seen at the launch, making it all the more impactful. She fully embraced the vibrant spirit, taking it even a step further with her pink Salvatore Ferragamo D’Orsay pumps and Ferragamo

IWC Gala Dinner: Rocking her own ‘noir’ moment, the supermodel strutted out a Michael Kors Resort 2017 gown. She looked to old Hollywood glam for her vintage pin curls and red lip yet the ensemble maintained the height of classic, cool modernity with the dress’s chiffon, cape-inspired back detail.

Shailene Woodley In Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana & Salvatore Ferragamo – 2017 Winter TCA Tour & ELLE’s Women in Television

Shailene Woodley was also with Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon on-stage for the ‘Big Little Lies’ panel during the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour on January 11 at the Langham Hotel before attending ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration 2017 on January 14 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California.

2017 Winter TCA Press Tour: The actress wore a Bottega Veneta ensemble that paired a black sheer sweater with a rust suede skirt that was much like a contemporary version of sexy-chic secretary. The styling elements with the metallic wrap sandals and black leather belt really made the look click.

ELLE’s Women in Television: Glam doesn’t always mean gown, as Shailene so effectively demonstrated in this Dolce & Gabbana outfit consisting of wide-leg trousers and matching top, which was so streamlined it could have been mistaken for a jumpsuit. But what made all the difference in the look is her cranberry Salvatore Ferragamo coat, which was all the more relevant because she wore it as a cape and matched her lippie to it.
