Emmy Rossum In Salvatore Ferragamo & Simone Rocha – Godiva Event & Gotham Independent Film Awards

Emmy Rossum In Salvatore Ferragamo & Simone Rocha - Godiva Event & Gotham Independent Film Awards

Emmy Rossum had a busy day hosting ‘Hot Chocolate for a Cause’ benefit at Godiva before attending the 25th annual Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (November 30) in New York City.

Godiva’s ‘Hot Chocolate for a Cause’ Event: The lady in head-to-toe red wore a pleated Salvatore Ferragamo turtle neck dress which was a striking, yet effortless choice possessing plenty of lady-like flare. Her Christian Louboutin ‘Gwalior’ tassel accented pumps really grab my attention here.

25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards: Emmy’s second look from Simone Rocha’s Fall 2015 collection, was a richly embellished brocade mini dress which couldn’t have been a more perfect for her colouring. Unfortunately I found myself a tad underwhelmed by the shoes on this occasion.

Krysten Ritter In Salvatore Ferragamo & Zuhair Murad – SiriusXM Studios & ‘Jessica Jones’ New York Series Premiere

Krysten Ritter In Salvatore Ferragamo & Zuhair Murad - SiriusXM Studios & 'Jessica Jones' New York Series Premiere
Krysten Ritter stopped by the SiriusXM Studios on Monday (November 16) in New York City before heading out to the ‘Jessica Jones’ premiere at New York City’s Regal E-Walk the next day.

SiriusXM Studios: This Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2015 striped sweater and ribbed skirt ensemble actually had a bit of a super-girl vibe with the cape-like blanket poncho—perfect for her ‘Jessica Jones’ former-heroine character. However, I believe I would have liked it more had she worn a sleek pulled-back hairstyle for heightened drama.

‘Jessica Jones’ Premiere: Ethereally elegant, the actress’s Zuhair Murad Resort 2016 white gown featured an underlying allure in the peekaboo sheer paneling, all of which dynamically contrasted her jet-black locks. She added the zing of metallics to enhance the look via silver bangles and Cesare Paciotti metallic pumps along with a Jimmy Choo ‘Box’ clutch.

Monica Bellucci In Salvatore Ferragamo – ‘Spectre’ Mexico City Photocall

Monica Bellucci In Salvatore Ferragamo - 'Spectre' Mexico City Photocall

Monica Bellucci attended the Mexico City photocall for ‘Spectre’ on Sunday (November 1).

I think this fair to say that Monica hasn’t quite blown us away in the way we’d hoped, so I’m interested to hear your views on her latest look.

I’m very much on the fence when it comes to this Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2016 blouse and leather paperbag skirt, mostly because it seems so far outside her comfort-zone and I prefer her in figure hugging silhouettes.

A part of me wishes she’s worn either the top or the skirt as I’m not 100% convinced both together was the best option for Monica. My mind is constantly changing on this one.

2015 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Emmy Men

Lest you think we had left out the dapper gents at the 2015 Emmy Awards, here is a roundup of the menswear moments that took to the red carpet at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night (September 20).

Alan Cumming: ‘The Good Wife’ actor and nominee was clearly moonlighting as a clown—albeit a very elegantly dressed one—in this Vivienne Westwood MAN Spring 2016 gray three-piece suit combination. The supersized pants were rather comical but it’s the Crocs shoes and umbrella prop that really magnified this sartorial stunt.

Hugh Dancy
: Standing alongside wife Claire Danes, Hugh was handsomely attired in Ralph Lauren Black Label black suit that was a classically formal and very fine offering.

Menswear Weekend Red Carpet Roundup

menswear 15 sept

The weekend was none too short on solid menswear looks from actors who took to the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Tom Hiddleston: Three was his lucky number this past weekend, as the handsome British actor attended a trio of events including the ‘I Saw The Light’ Cast Party at F-Stop on Friday (September 11) followed by EW’s Must List Party at the Thompson Hotel on Saturday and finally the ‘High Rise’ premiere at The Elgin on Sunday. In a totally handsome three-peat, he exclusively wore suits by Polo Ralph Lauren to mighty fine effect. I love how each of his looks were consistently sharp and well-tailored while being different enough to avoid boredom. I thought the three-piece navy pinstripe suit with the lavender shirt was my favourite, but now that double-breasted, windowpane suit matched with a piercing baby-blue shirt is calling my name, too.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 1

With the GQ Men of the Year Awards as well as a few other key premieres, the men have made a fine showing the past few days. Here, a look at their ensembles.

David Gandy: Forever cutting a striking profile, David showed us all how a classic tux should be worn at the GQ Men of the Year Awards at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 8).

Jake Gyllenhaal: The double-breasted coat isn’t always easy to wear, but Jake pulls it off in this head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo ensemble at the ‘Everest’ premiere at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (September 9). The baby-blue shirt, which reflected his eyes, was the best decision here.

Samuel L. Jackson: Acting as host of the GQ Men of the Year Awards, the actor was debonair in a polished Giorgio Armani head-to-toe look. I loved the monochromatic nature of the ensemble elevated by the slight contrast of the satin lapels and metallic bow tie.
