SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The red carpet was alight with stylish stars at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards on Thursday (November 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Kristen Bell: It may be autumn, but the actress kept the spring spirit alive in a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 dress. The yellow and blue blooms had an ebullient mood which was enhanced with Jennifer Meyer jewels and white heels.

Andrew Garfield: Cutting a dapper figure, the ‘Breathe’ actor broke away from coordinates, pairing a brown and navy check jacket with slim navy trousers. A dark blue sweater completed the ensemble, presenting a modern alternative to a suit and tie.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ actress’s love of fashion is apparent in many of her outfits, including this vintage Pierre Balmain dress from Shrimpton Couture. She committed to the glamorous retro theme with red Christian Louboutin pumps and a Les Petits Joueurs bag.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is the final menswear roundup of the week.

Johnny Depp: Joining a stellar cast of gorgeous actresses for the ‘Murder On The Orient Express’ world premiere, the actor cleaned up his act; bringing his A-game to the red carpet. While look had a typically laid-back approach with the undone bow-tie, I was delighted to see Johnny has finally stopped dressing like Jack Sparrow.

John Boyega: The actor was looking very dapper as always collecting this Vanguard Award during the SCAD Savannah Film Festival wearing Burberry. I don’t think I’ve seen a finer suit this week. From the cut, fit and trouser length, everything is on point here.

Leslie Odom Jr.: Going slightly less formal sans tie in Prada for the ‘Murder On The Orient Express’ world premiere, the actor still presented a very smart impression. Double breasted blazers aren’t the easiest to pull off, however, the look fits Leslie’s stocky frame perfectly. I love how the dual-colour Jimmy Choo ‘Penn’ shoes added a touch of flare.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A trio of men have been making the rounds lately, each with his own version of sophisticated style.

Chris Hemsworth: At the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ New York City screening on Monday (October 30), Chris continued to show his penchant for relaxed-suave appeal in this Dolce & Gabbana suit, yet again skipping a tie in favour of the partially unbuttoned dress shirt.

Eddie Redmayne: It was a Valentino double feature for Eddie and wife, Hannah Bagshawe, at the OMEGA Aqua Terra on Saturday (October 28) in Venice, Italy. He was impossibly dapper in a rich midnight-blue Valentino suit from the Fall 2017 collection that I loved not only for its colour but also for its fresh precision and skinny variation on a bow tie. Hannah, who recently confirmed she’s expecting their second child, was glowing in a Valentino Resort 2018 feminine ruffle dress.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here, a look at what the men have been up to on the red carpet lately.

Andrew Garfield: Joining Claire Foy for the ‘Breathe’ premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday (October 4), Andrew couldn’t have looked more dapper if he tried in this Tom Ford tuxedo. There’s just something about the classic refinement of a tailored-to-perfection tux that gets me every time.

Winston Duke: The actor also made the honourable list of People’s ‘Ones To Watch,’ where he joined Paris Jackson for the celebration in LA on Wednesday (October 4). With this Hugo Boss suit and pops of burnt-orange accessories, he proved his style is something to look out for, too.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Jake has been making waves as the handsome new face of Eternity by Calvin Klein, but on Tuesday (October 3), he brought his eternally fine form to the ‘Stronger’ premiere during the 13th Zurich Film Festival. This Gucci midnight-navy suit checked the box—and blue is most certainly his colour—but I would have loved to see him push the envelope just a bit more.

Green Carpet Fashion Awards Roundup

The inaugural Green Carpet Fashion Awards took place in Milan on Sunday (September 24), focusing on celebrating sustainable innovation and supply chains striving to minimize their footprints. Fittingly, many of the lovely ladies in attendance wore ensembles in keeping with the awards’ ethos.

Arizona Muse: Looking lovely in lace, the model wore a bespoke print gown with handmade lace detailing by Stella McCartney for the Green Carpet Challenge. The alluring piece was crafted from recycled archival print fabrics. The mix of the delicate black lace with ab cut out against the flowing florals on the bottom was thoroughly intriguing.

Naomi Campbell: The model struck a pose in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture gown. Swirls of silver embroidery were enhanced by a gradient train of white and yellow feathers. Naomi’s signature mane was brushed over one shoulder, revealing the halter neckline of the dress.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Although many fellows were at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17), a few others were hopping about to their own respective premieres and events.

Pedro Pascal: Pedro walked the line in his Ermenegildo Zegna Couture felt suit that offered a linear twist on tradition at the London premiere of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ on Monday (September 18).

Dave Franco: Dave had me at hello at the ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’ premiere in Carlsbad, California on Saturday (September 16). With a nod to retro inspiration gone modern, he looked sharp in his Salvatore Ferragamo suit styled with a playful, bear-print Band of Outsiders shirt and Christian Louboutin ‘Cousin Greg’ shoes.

Colin Firth: Also at the ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ premiere, Colin carried the classic torch in his Tom Ford suit that fit him like a glove. Plus, he gets bonus points for the geek-handsome glasses.
