Sylvia Hoeks In Saint Laurent – ‘The Shape of Water’ LA Premiere

Sylvia Hoeks joined Octavia Spencer at ‘The Shape of Water’ premiere on Wednesday (November 15) in Los Angeles, California.

She embraced Saint Laurent’s rocker mood in a Fall 2017 ensemble. The embellished shoulder tempered the severity of the long sleeve for a dynamic finish.

I love the edgy vibe of this, but feel let down by the overall effect. The actress’s look lacked the sharpness of the runway version and I’m struggling with the hair and makeup.

I also wish that she styled the dress in her own way rather than mirroring the slouchy boots from the runway. Had she worn fierce, embellished shoes to tie in the shoulder detail, she could have made a stronger impact.

Carina Lau In Saint Laurent – 2017 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival Opening Ceremony

First seen on the red carpet worn by Zoe Kravitz during Venice Film Festival, Carina Lau opted to wear this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 mini dress to the opening ceremony of the 2017 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival on Tuesday (October 31).

When it comes to red carpet style, Carina has always been a bit of a fashion daredevil; breaking the expected princess gown mold at these events.

Her sharp mini dress is quite dramatic with it luxe black velvet fabrication adorned with crystal Iris flower embellishments, but it’s the padded shoulders that create an angular profile that imparts a fiercely seductive attitude.

John Hardy And Vanity Fair Celebrate Legends

Model Jasmine Tookes and actress Emily Robinson attended the Vanity Fair and John Hardy ‘Night of Legends’ event honouring Julianne Moore at Le Coucou in New York City on Tuesday (October 24).

Jasmine Tookes: The Victoria’s Secret model wasn’t shy at all wearing an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2017 Couture sheer lace robe with just a bra, panties, John Hardy jewels and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals. I know a lot of people are going to hate this, but I have to say she looks stunning. Would I wear it? No, but she totally rocks this look.

Julianne Moore: The honouree reverted to her go-to: an LBD. In Julianne’s case she’s always intriguing. Take this high-shine, puffy sleeved Saint Laurent number for example which exudes confident glamour. Decked out with the hosts jewels, she also wore her favourite Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals and John Hardy jewels.

Emily Robinson: I can’t helped but be charmed by the romantic statement this ADEAM Resort 2018 look presents with its delicate embroidery and pretty pink lace skirt. The sheer elements seem perfectly balanced on the shoes and top. John Hardy jewels completed the look.

Pixie Lott In Saint Laurent – ‘Won’t Forget You’ Single Launch Party

Pixie Lott was the bella of the ball for the launch of her new single ‘Won’t Forget You’ held at the Cuckoo Club in Mayfair, London on Thursday (October 19).

The singer wore a Saint Laurent Fall 2016 emerald green dress oozing with ’80s exaggeration as the shimmering piece flourished with side-bows.

While I adore the runway version, Pixie’s look also pack a mighty punch as she upped the bedazzlement with emerald stone and diamond encrusted sandals.

Rihanna is already rocking Saint Laurent’s Spring 2018 feather boots

Rihanna doesn’t waste any time in leading the fashion pack.

Much like last season, she is the first to snag Saint Laurent’s boots – to coin her phrase – “Presh Off the Runway”, as they made their debut on the runway just a few days ago.

The singer treated her 57.1 million Instagram followers to a photo of her wearing the feather boots paired with a black Off-White mini dress, and Raf Simons denim jacket.

Irving Penn Exhibition Private Viewing Hosted by Vogue

A private viewing, hosted by Vogue, for the Irving Penn exhibition at the Grand Palais was held on Sunday (October 1) during Paris Fashion Week.

Adwoa Aboah: Taking a break from walking the runways at Paris Fashion Week, Adwoa posed in a Richard Quinn Spring 2018 look that offered an invigorating, happy mix of ditzy florals. You would think with so many bold, competing prints that this would translate as disjointed. But, on the contrary, I loved this look on Adwoa, and I also credit its success to her minimal approach to the styling, with a black sandal and red pout all she needed. Flower power, indeed.

Kylie Minogue: I think it’s safe to say that Kylie put this Alice McCall ‘More Than A Woman’ fringe gown to work for her—as it was made to be spun around. As fun as it was, I was a bit tassel fatigued and the muted, mauve-pink colour wasn’t my favourite for the vibrancy of the entertainer, but she attempted to bring a splash of vividness via her lipstick.

Dita von Teese: With a look that riffed on the field-of-poppies print from the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2017 Couture collection, Dita maximized proportions with this look. I have mixed feelings on the balloon sleeves, as they might be lumped into a costume-y circus category. But, the colours were striking in contrast to the black pencil skirt.
