Rita Ora In Saint Laurent – 4th Annual ELLE Women in Music Celebration

Rita Ora took to the red carpet in fine style for the 2013 Elle Women in Music Celebration, held at the Edison Ballroom in New York City yesterday evening.

On occasion, I tend to find Rita’s more theatrical looks a tad jarring, but she was surprisingly poised in this Saint Laurent Spring 2013 look.

Wearing a black tuxedo-style frock with a rise-and-fall hemline, the look features a white sequin-embellished collar, bib and cuffs with a black sheer chiffon pussybow tie.

While I’m unsure whether the hat was added as an homage to the runway look or just to cover the fact that she needs to touch up her roots, I find the overall look aesthetically pleasing – much to my surprise, I have to add.

Signature red lippie, ocean-blue nails, black Saint Laurent ankle-strap pumps and a selection of gold linked rings completed her look.

Angelina Jolie In Saint Laurent – Women in the World Summit 2013

Angelina Jolie was back on the red carpet showing her support for the Women in the World Summit 2013 in New York City yesterday evening.

The actress opted to wear a Saint Laurent Spring 2013 look for the occasion.

Her sheer muddy-brown maxi dress was styled with a black georgette cape; both pieces had tassel accents.

I don’t think I can find one good thing to say about this look. It’s drab, there’s just too much fabric and I despise the colour.

I know she doesn’t care much about fashion, but this has to be one of her least inspiring looks to date.

Kate Moss In Saint Laurent – ‘CR Fashion Book Issue 2′ Cocktail Party

Kate Moss attended the ‘CR Fashion Book Issue 2′ party hosted by Carine Roitfeld during Paris Fashion Week, which was held at Hotel Shangri-La in France yesterday evening.

When I saw this Saint Laurent look, three words sprang to mind. Only.Kate.Moss.

The supermodel donned a Saint Laurent all-over-diamante bodysuit, without the leather skirt worn on the runway, and a black blazer from the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 men’s collection.

Wearing no makeup, Kate completed her look with black booties and a black clutch.

For some reason, I don’t find myself hating the look.

I think this is because she doesn’t appear to be trying too hard. Just picture this look on Rita Ora or Lady Gaga and tell yourself that this look could’ve been a whole lot worse.

Anne Hathaway In Saint Laurent – 2013 Vanity Fair Party

After a rather perky appearance in a surprising baby-pink Prada gown on the Academy Awards red carpet, Anne Hathaway changed into another dress for Graydon Carter’s 2013 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

Her second look was another column gown, this time a custom design from Saint Laurent with a metallic sequin triangular neckline. I’m glad she didn’t try to wear another necklace here.

But the shapeless silhouette and dove grey colour had me yawning; that is, until the ‘Les Miserables’ star cracked her infectious wide smile, which was glossed in a pretty pink hue, as she posed with her proudest new gold accessory.

I really wanted to love Anne’s fashion on her big night. Unfortunately, her looks weren’t quite as triumphant as her Best Supporting Actress win.

Lou Doillon In Saint Laurent – Les Victoires de La Musique 2013

Lou Doillon attended the Les Victoires de La Musique in Paris last week, where she performed and accepted the Artiste Interprete Feminine (Female Artist of the Year) award.

The French actress, model and singer wore a structured pantsuit from Saint Laurent Spring 2013 collection.

Both the ruffled cuff of the sleeve and giant bow tie add a dose of femininity to the otherwise androgynous suit, and her black manicure and effortless makeup and hair styling make the entire look both modern and chic.

Is Doillon’s look the epitome of French style or more pageboy than chic?
