Elizabeth Olsen In Saint Laurent – 2017 ESPYS

Elizabeth Olsen joined Olivia Culpo for the 2017 ESPYS on Wednesday (July 12) in LA.

Her Saint Laurent Spring 2017 playsuit with a draped overlay was an inspired take on modern event dressing, while presenting a fresh twist on Le Smoking tuxedo.

We know the French house’s tailoring is second to none, but I’m not excited by the presentation here.

This has nothing to do with the Sophia Webster ‘Coco Crystal’ pumps, Sara Weinstock jewels, hair or makeup, more the fit which looks marginally off.

Miranda Kerr’s Tokyo Promotional Trip

Miranda Kerr has been making waves in Tokyo, Japan over the past few days, having been on a promo tour there. We were spoilt for choice with her looks, as each conveyed the darling, feminine charm that she wears so well.

Sunday (July 9): Having just been traveling myself, I was experiencing major outfit envy at Miranda’s fresh and perfectly pulled-together flight look upon her arrival at Narita International Airport. She made airport-chic style look so easy in her cropped top from ThePerfext styled with a crisp white Saint Laurent blazer, and Ann Taylor floral pants. The accessories really pulled the whole look together, too, with the polished Samantha Thavasa bag and colour-block Salvatore Ferragamo block-heel sandals adding a sophisticated, wearable finish.

Monday (July 10): While promoting Marukome organic miso product, the supermodel was the right kind of adorable in this polka-dot Alaia dress that I loved for its sweet, easy grace. Even the white Manolo Blahnik pumps were well-suited here.

Monday (July 10):
Later on Monday, Miranda attended another Marukome promo event where she kept her sweet streak going strong in a star-printed P.A.R.O.S.H. dress whilst putting the white Manolos to good use again.

Daily (Celine) Dion’s Street Style Looks

Celine Dion has served up no shortage of street-style looks for us to gaze upon, as she continues to take Paris by storm. While she is normally on her fashion game, a few recent looks have called into question her sartorial judgment—and that trend only continued over this past week with some head-scratching statements in the mix as well as a few standouts to remind us how she does off-duty style best.

July 4: Because the singer is not one to buck a trend, she would not leave the pyjama party to only Gigi Hadid. This Louis Vuitton x Supreme two-piece ensemble was the epitome of luxe loungewear when styled with her embellished shades and stilettos. She did wear the look with supremely effortlessness, even if it will be translated as glorified PJs.

July 5: She brought a bit of Asian persuasion to her next look with this Reem Acra Fall 2017 floral-print dress informed by the silhouette of a geisha robe and an obi sash. I love her choice of the embellished Gucci bag and velvet-green heels to finish the look in smartly high style.

Vogue Paris Foundation Dinner Red Carpet Roundup

A collection of models likewise turned out for the Vogue Paris Foundation dinner on Tuesday (July 4).

Lily Aldridge: At the height of classic elegance—with a notion of plunging sultriness—this Ralph Lauren white blazer and black trousers showed the sexy side of menswear-inspired tailoring.

Kendall Jenner: Donning a Mugler mini, this look had all the hallmarks of the designer with its strong, pointed shoulder, body-skimming silhouette, and leggy M.O. But, on Kendall, it maintained a fresh edge with her gorgeous gemstone earrings and sleek high bun.

Karolina Kurkova: The complexity of this wolf-printed Balmain cold-shoulder dress and its collection of fringe, embellishment and exaggerated sleeves, was no match for Karolina’s style prowess as she wore it with ease. But, there will be no denying that it would have been so much more well-suited for a fall engagement—especially with the suede legging boots.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were a number of men who made an impression at the 2017 BET Awards in LA. But, away from that event, there were more fellows who have made an impression on the red carpet.

Chadwick Boseman: First up, Chadwick scored a style slam dunk at the 2017 NBA Awards on Monday (June 26) in New York City. This Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 striped suit was a seasonal, refreshing alternative to the standard-issue colours of black, navy, and charcoal. Plus, I love that he skipped the tie on this sleek dress shirt.

Filipe Valle Costa: At the premiere of FX’s ‘Snowfall,’ on Monday (June 26) in LA, Filipe looked sharp in a David Hart Fall 2017 suit styled with Cesare Pacciotti shoes and a Rolex timepiece. The festive plaid did seem a bit heavy, but he lightened the mood with his unbuttoned, white dress shirt.

Miles Brown: I’m not sure it could get any more adorable than Miles who was also at the 2017 NBA Awards. With his custom TO Collection suit, paired with Florsheim shoes, he gets major style points. He wears bold plaid and a bow tie better than men three times his age.

Robin Wright In Saint Laurent – ‘Wonder Woman’ LA Premiere

Robin Wright attended the ‘Wonder Woman’ LA premiere on Thursday (May 25), wearing a black velvet Saint Laurent Fall 2015 dress.

Let’s start with the positives: The way that the dress falls asymmetrically across her body and the sash from Robin’s halterneck, which loosely fell on her back, are both standout features.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of styled this look with the pumps and the uninspiring hairstyle.

Picture this with sandals, a slick back ‘do, the flower accents and a lot more attitude. It would’ve been magical.

What I am a fan of though, is that clutch. There’s nothing better than a statement handbag and I absolutely love the Saint Laurent patterned star clutch, not to mention the triangular earrings, which match the angular pattern on the purse.
