10th annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 10th annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party on Friday (February 24) in LA.

Deepika Padukone: The Indian beauty wore a Roland Mouret Fall 2017 velvet dress I was immediately taken by, but then the ankle strap sandals kinda took some of the gloss off the look.

Freida Pinto: We’ve kinda seen these style of Maria Lucia Hohan gowns several times before, but this is something new for Freida, especially if you consider the cut outs. Hueb blue sapphire earrings enhance the look.

Camilla Belle: The actress rarely wears all black, but her Adeam Fall 2017 dress provided plenty of intrigue from its velvet fabrication to the lace up accent. Tasaki jewels and Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Leda’ pumps provided the finishing touches. Was her shoe choice too heavy for you?

Gemfields Celebrates Ruth Negga (In Rodarte) And Karla Welch

Gemfields held a party at the Chateau Marmont in LA on Friday (February 27) to celebrate the all round fabulousness of Ruth Negga and her stylist Karla Welch.

Taking the edgier runway look and making it her own, Ruth continues to prove that she’s a fashion force to be reckoned with.

I love how sheer feminine top half is tempered with slim cut masculine trousers.

I can’t wait to see where her style choices take her next.

Rowan Blanchard In Rodarte – 10th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Rowan Blanchard joined Michelle Dockery for the 10th annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party on Friday (February 24) in LA.

Trading the bubblegum nature of her Giambattista Valli Couture look, the actress opted for something more dark and mysterious in this Rodarte Spring 2017 frock.

Adorned with shimmering floral blooms, I love how the dress is bordered with lace trims and fluted with ruffled cuffs for an elegant finish.

Adding more shine, the look was styled with metallic silver Nicolas Kirkwood ‘Zaha’ sandals.

Alfre Woodard’s Sistahs Soiree

The 8th annual Oscar’s Sistahs Soiree, presented by Alfre Woodard and Farfetch, was held on Wednesday (February 22) in LA.

Ruth Negga: Continuing to celebrate a vintage aesthetic that we’ve seen earlier this year from her, the ‘Loving’ actress paired her studded Erdem Pre-Fall 2017 dress with a Simone Rocha faux fur stole. The bubblegum-pink Stella Luna pumps were a surprise, adding an element of quirkiness to the look. But I would have kept them red to match the embroidery on the stole and her lip.

Tessa Thompson: Delivering Rodarte’s unique brand of intriguing femininity, this Spring 2017 ruffled dress relied on an interesting mix of textures, polka dots, and flounce. Like the frock or not, the minimalist styling was on point until the ankles. The flashy gold platforms compromised the dark charm.

Viola Davis: Working her side angles, the actress posed in a black cutout dress with a swirling overlay. A bright pop of colour for the lip would have added another layer of vibrant impact here.

Kerry Washington In Rodarte – 2017 Producers Guild Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 28) in Beverly Hills, California.

For a moment back in 2015, the ‘Scandal’ actress seemed to pare down her red carpet looks.

As a result the words ‘safe’ and ‘meh’ were used to describe her style, so I was delighted to see her back to her stunning self in Rodarte.

The brand is the modern woman’s go-to for elegant and intricate silhouettes with a contemporary twist, of which this Spring 2017 dress possesses.

The only downside to this look are the shoes.

Fancy wearing lace and nude pumps with a fashion forward dress. Consider me confused.

Elle Fanning In Rodarte – Harper’s Bazaar Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women

Elle Fanning attended the Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women on Friday (January 27) in West Hollywood, California.

Her impressive chic streak on the red carpet has not waned. Here, the starlet rocked a directional look from the Rodarte Spring 2017 collection.

The floral-embroidered design was alive with edgy whimsy.

The halo of tulle that surrounded the statement pouf sleeves only added to the cool-girl charm that balanced retro fun with style-forward flair.
