Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Natalie Portman’s new movie “Black Swan” closed AFI Fest 2010 in LA last night.

The actress wore a gorgeous pink and floral Rodarte dress with a colourfully beaded waistband.

Natalie worked a super cute girl-next-door look teaming her strapless dress with a burgundy Christian Dior clutch and gold Mary Jane heels.

I thought Natalie was wearing a watch, but it’s actually a beautiful floral charm on a pink ribbon.

Perfect as always.

The 2010 London Film Festival kicked off today with a photocall for “Never Let Me Go” which stars Brit actresses Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

Keira looked sensational.

We scream for something refreshing on the red carpet and Knightley rarely disappoints.

It looks like stars are already selecting Spring 2011 looks, because first we had Kerry Washington now we have Keira wearing a Rodarte Spring 2011 look.

Her blue and white printed skirt was paired with a nude lace Prada-esqe short sleeved blouse.

I’ve never been fond of those Louboutin’s heels, so the look isn’t a perfect 10 but pretty close.

I love how she’s added some mini waves to her new bob.

I have a feeling this won’t be to everyone tastes, but it’s like a breath of fresh air to me.

Can’t wait to see what she wears tonight.

Natalie Portman didn’t let us down tonight at her “Black Swan” Premiere during the 2010 Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony this evening.

She looked radiant wearing a Rodarte gown – just as we suspected considering Rodarte’s ties with the movie.

Natalie’s claret silk tulle draped Rodarte gown was embellished with Swarovski crystals.

This look proves why Natalie and Rodarte work so well together. It’s a winning combination.

I love the draping and how the embellishments narrow her waist. I also love how she elegantly glides down the red carpet.

The new face of Dior added a Dior quilted clutch to her look.

Anyone rethinking their BDOTW?

Mia Wasikowska wore yet another sheer look this week when she walked the red carpet for “The Kids Are All Right” New York Premiere last night.

The Australian actress wore a dress from the Rodarte Spring 2008 collection  – which I like to call the Keira Knightley collection.

I hate to say “I told you so”, but I did say yesterday that Mia could pull off a bra-less look.

This was proved when she wore her black lace and blue ribbon dress sans bra and it didn’t look tacky nor cheap.

The dress is pretty expressive so she didn’t need any accessories.

Her look was completed with simple black peep-toes.

I personally would’ve worn the runway spikey Louboutin’s, but Mia’s look works perfectly for her.

We all know celebs love the safe reliability of Christian Louboutin, Brian Atwood and Sergio Rossi heels, but they also love edgier footwear like these Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte pumps from the Spring 2010 collection.

I think these corroded brass pumps look quite dangerous.

I have enough trouble trying walking in heels as it is without adding a brass metal spiked heel into the mix.

The pumps also feature a metallic leather upper with cut outs, a slightly pointed toe with metal plating and a brass covered platform.

Fashion risk-takers like Kelly Rowland, Rihanna and Dasha Zhukova have been spotted wearing them as well as Kim Kardashian who will jump on any bandwagon.

If you fancy these bad boys in your closet you can purchase them from Luisa via Roma.

The Mulleavy sisters created a stunning white Rodarte for Gap gown for Kirsten Dunst.

Kristen looked exquisite as she glided down the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

The white one-shoulder gown had a embroidered chiffon skirt and a fluffy detail on the shoulder.

I’m not crazy about the white shoes, white socks combo but everything else is amazing so that can just be overlooked.
