This has to be a joke.
It has been reported that Amy Winehouse is set to sign a deal to promote Roberto Cavalli.
What is even more disturbing, is that apparently it was Victoria Beckham’s idea.
According to reports over the weekend, Roberto approached Amy after his pal Victoria Beckham confessed she loved the singer’s style. (?!?!)
He apparently then offered Amy a contract, in which she would receive his clothes for free, in return for wearing them at high profile events.
Em…..which high profile event are those? She is only ever really papped when she is ‘high’ outside her apartment.
In the past Cavalli has said of Amy’s style, “She has a real sense of style that I love. She is a fashion icon because she is unique.”
Unique, yes. Fashion Icon…not so much. I don’t know anyone who covets her look, and I don’t understand why she is so celebrated mostly for being a drug addict.

I can not see Amy wearing either the
Fall 2008 above nor the
Spring 2008 collections below. This has to be a joke. No?

Jessica Alba first wore this black keyhole dress to her
Rise of the Silver Surfer Fantastic Four premiere in Berlin last year. She wore her dress with a pair of black patent platform shoes.
Tracey Edmonds wore the same dress to the First Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon yesterday, a whole 7 months after Jessica.
She wore her dress with a pair of black bowed shoes.
Both women did not over accessorize and both look amazing in this dress, so I have to go with who’s shoes I prefer.
Jessica wins for me.

Gucci Fall 2008 collection has a very gypsy-esque, boho, hippie vibe to it with the tapestry bags, frills and tassels all featured, alongside studded suede ankle boots, leather belts and over-the-knee leather riding boots.
There were lots of accents on shoulders and hems, drop-waisted flapper dresses had bold prints and many pieces had low-slung scarfs as belts.
This was a very strong and sexy collection.

I was very confused when I first saw this
Roberto Cavall Fall 2008 collection, as there were many of the floral romantic gowns from
Roberto Cavalli Spring 2008 collection.
A strong floral theme ran through the whole collection, with embroidered flowers on summer dresses, black evening corsets, and coats.

Jessica Simpson wore this nude and silver embellished
Roberto Cavalli Spring 2008 dress which was shown at the men collection, to the
Just Cavalli New York Flagship store opening during
New York Fashion Week Spring 2008 back
in September.
I must prefer the model’s choice of shoe with this dress, but I prefer the length of Jessica’s dress.

Eva Longoria was one of the lucky few to get her hands on the Roberto Cavalli for H&M collection.
This dress is Gold knit, with gold and animal-print ruffles on the bib. The dress originally cost £39.99, the few minutes it was in the store.
Your best bet to get your hands on this dress is to try eBay.
