Taraji P. Henson In Roberto Cavalli – ‘Acrimony’ New York Premiere

Taraji P. Henson turned up the drama at the ‘Acrimony’ New York premiere on Tuesday (March 27).

Pyjama dressing remains popular, but the ‘Empire’ actress went for a bathrobe influence in Roberto Cavalli.

Clearly this is not the average bathrobe look with the piece being accented with shimmering trim and buttons.

Kimberly McDonald Fine Jewelry and Louboutin sandals added to the louche sensuality without making it look costumey.

Rita Ora had a similar bathrobe moment at the 2017 MTV EMAs. Taraji didn’t go quite as far as she didn’t wear a head towel, but I think she mastered the tricky style is the most glamorous of fashions.

Do you agree?

Models @ The Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Models stormed the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California, with a range of head-turning looks—for better or worse.

Alessandra Ambrosio: The naked dress had another showing with this Ralph & Russo Couture embellished, sheer design, styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. There will be no doubt her body isn’t rocking, but I know eyes will be rolling at the complete transparency of the look.

Ashley Graham: This Rubin Singer gown featured a recognizable, slit-to-there silhouette, but it was the gleaming sheen that upped the ante. A swept-back hairstyle and Sophia Webster sandals completed the look.

Lily Aldridge: The golden-goddess look served Lily well in this Versace liquid-gold gown that had a certain chainmail effect. Christian Louboutin heels and Bvlgari jewels and bag finished her glamorously regal entrance.

Olivia Wilde In Roberto Cavalli Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Olivia Wilde celebrated awards season at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, joining Regina Hall.

She shimmered in a Roberto Cavalli Couture gown. The stunner had a chain mail effect which was enhanced by the multiple straps and cut-outs.

It was strong yet the style also had a magical allure from the way it flowed to the ground.

Not to be missed was the Time’s Up pin affixed to the side of the dress.

M.I.A. In Roberto Cavalli – ‘Matangi/Maya/M.I.A.’ Berlinale International Film Festival Press Conference

M.I.A. was at the press conference for her documentary, ‘Matangi/Maya/M.I.A.’, during the Berlinale International Film Festival on Saturday (February 17) in Berlin, Germany.

She walked on the wild side in more ways than one with her Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2018 ensemble that riffed on zebra stripes in a bold palette of hot orange.

The animal print continued right down to her snakeskin-esque booties that added the quirky touch we’d expect from the entertainer.

That said, I’m glad she opted for the statement jacket to really amp up the look—even if I could have easily seen her wear the print from top to toe.

Isabelle Huppert In Roberto Cavalli – ‘Eva’ Berlinale International Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Also having a busy Saturday (February 17) before the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday, Isabelle Huppert navigated the Berlinale International Film Festival in support of the film, ‘Eva.’

Press Conference: Elegant, modern, and effortless—with that nonchalant Parisian chicness that Isabelle commands so well—this Roberto Cavalli Spring 2018 jumpsuit was a sleek, cool moment at the press conference.

Premiere: Isabelle isn’t afraid to rock a suit nor embellishment, and here, she merged both. I was all for the luminous look until my eye followed the trouser line to the floor. The pants desperately needed a proper hem—and a pair of shoes not taken from Lady Gaga’s closet.

2018 amfAR Gala New York Red Carpet Roundup

The glamour was at a high at the 2018 amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday (February 7) where lovely ladies joined Lucy Hale, Olivia Culpo and Halsey.

Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese beauty had a princess moment in Armani Privé Spring 2006. The glistening tulle was accented with the embellished straps. You’ll be forgiven for thinking that the Chopard jewels were part of the original look as they coordinate so perfectly.

Joan Smalls: Forgoing the glitzy gown, the model donned a Dolce & Gabbana suit with John Hardy jewels. The stark black piping against the muted brocade fabric creates a dynamic display of contrasts, but I wish she saved this ensemble for another event. Against the high octane dresses, it feels a touch out of place.

Coco Rocha: Projecting slinky glamour, the Canadian model showcased the pockets on her Greta Constantine Pre-Fall 2018 dress. There are details aplenty on the gown so I was thankful she lost the coordinating gloves from the lookbook version.

2018 Goya Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2018 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 3) in Madrid, Spain saw more stars in attendance in addition to Maribel Verdu, Nieves Alvarez, Penelope Cruz, and Goya Toledo.

Juana Acosta: I was swept away by this breathtaking Pedro del Hierro off-the-shoulder, navy gown that translated with such classic elegance on Juana. I love the textural intrigue, too, with the point d’espirit effect. Swarovski jewels and a Jimmy Choo clutch completed the glamorous picture.

Mónica Cruz: The illusion effect via side and back cutouts of this Ruben Hernández lace gown didn’t featured the most flattering placement—and also seemed far too dated.
