Before the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2010 presentation, Roberto walked over to Anna Wintour thanked her for attending his show then kissed her hand.

Not many can make Anna Wintour blush, but Roberto Cavalli did.

He then headed to the side of the runway to watch his presentation. I found this surprising, but it makes perfect sense that he view the collection as the buyers and editors do.

I was later informed via twitter (what did we do before twitter?) that Oscar de la Renta has watched his show by the side of the runway too.

Before the presentation I’d wished Cavalli would bring back some of his distinctive animal prints and he didn’t let me down.

Leopard, tiger and cheetah prints were presented, but they were toned down and blended with the collection rather than stood out.

Cavalli concentrated on rich brocade pieces which dominated this collection via coats, pants, jackets and bags.

My favourite piece was the red coat worn by Natasha Poly. It feels like a vintage piece with rich history.

Apart from the brocades we saw velvet, military chic and many boho backless floaty maxi dresses.

Nicole Richie will be first in line to wear those maxi.

This collection was boho-chic in a very modern way, and I totally love every part of the presentation.

I’ve been praying for colour from Mary J Blige and boy did she deliver.

The diva wore two different looks at the 2010 Grammy Awards last night.

She arrived wearing a fuchsia pink Gucci gown with cut-out details in the neckline.

I just adore how this dress skimmed Mary’s curves and gave her a stunning silhouette.

The diva later performed with Andrea Bocelli wearing a cobalt blue Roberto Cavalli strapless gown with beaded bodice detail.

I can’t figure out which one I love more.

This is a nice problem to have.

Stunning Embellishments Award
Christina Applegate wore a ice blue Roberto Cavalli gown with a stunning train which came very close to being Best Dressed, but that honour went to the unstoppable Diane Kruger.

Embellishments can some times ruin delicate gowns, but in this case it enhances the look as they shine as brightly as her smile.

The subtle touches on her shoulders and on the back of her gown – which she couldn’t wait to show off to Giuliana DePandi – was so pretty.

This was complemented by her stunning jewels and matching silver clutch.

Head-to-toe perfecetion.

Evax Campaign Launch, Madrid

Monica Cruz wore a Roberto Cavalli eyelet embellished dress from the Fall 2009 collection.

We’re unsure as to whether Monz is wearing a longer length dress, or that it just appears longer in comparison to the legging model.

I like the boots as it’s in keeping with the rock chic-esque feel of the dress.

‘Sherlock Holmes’ Paris Photocall

My current girl crush Rachel McAdams is wearing a Alberta Ferretti Fall 2009 grey wool dress with jewel encrusted shoulders.

After Rachel fabulous week, I’m sad to say I’m bit bored by this.

She’s wearing a shorter length than seen on the catwalk, which I’m glad of but it feels like something is missing.

Great choice of suede Brian Atwood “Marlo” pumps.

“Creation” New York Photocall

Jennifer Connelly wore this Stella McCartney Spring 2010 suit which I think looks really chic and sophisticated.

I like the silk skirt which adds to the femininity of the ruffled front of the jacket.

I just wish that it wasn’t so much of a block colour.

“A Single Man” Cocktail Party, LA

Selma Blair was spotted arriving at this party in a Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2008 dress.

Again, I just can’t get over excited about the black.

Her hair also looks a bit disheveled.

Paloma Picasso Tiffany & Co, Australia

Maria Sharapova looks beautiful in this slate grey v-neck Max Azria Spring 2010 dress. I really like the colour against her blonde hair.

Great choice of gladiator-style shoe as well.

The only thing I would say is that her hair could have been tidied up a bit.

Julianne Moore we love you!

She never fails to give us goosebumps and everything here is spot on, from her Lanvin two-tone bustier dress to those gorgeous t-bar shoes.

What a great hairstyle too.

Victoria’s Secret Beauty Launches Love Rocks Fragrance Collection, New York

Another day, another Taylor Momsen outfit, another desperate attempt to be alternative *yawns*.

The colour of this dress completely washes her out

And don’t get me started on the lace up cuff and the raccoon make-up which has made a comeback.

Giuseppe Zanotti biker boots complete the look.

Cipriani Restaurant

Eva Herzigova was spotted…literally…leaving Cirpriani’s restaurant in Mayfair wearing a animal print Isabel Marant Fall 2009 dress.

The supermodel wore her dress with thick tights and ankle boots.

We’ve seen this dress worn by Rachel Weisz a few months ago.

The Times BFI London Film Festival: “Fantastic Mr. Fox” Opening Gala

Cindy Crawford was the only woman to shine so brightly on this red carpet.

The super wore a black deep v-neck Roberto Cavalli gown paired with Jimmy Choo Keenan patent leather sandals.

This is how you OWN a red carpet.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis faded into the background for me.

I’m so bored of the “girlfriends” he just happens to have in time for a new promotional tour.

Elisabetta is wearing one of the tackiest red carpet gowns I have seen this year, obviously she’s not getting the same allowance as Clooney’s last girlfriend who stepped out in Valentino Couture.

I can’t even bring myself to look at her shoes…just hideous.

Even when she’s slightly off-duty Thandie Newton is still totally gorgeous.

Myleene Klass was reporting live from this red carpet last night wearing a LBD.

She kept herself warm wearing a navy coat which had a massive corsage.

Tatler 300th Anniversary

Peaches Geldof wears Dolce & Gabbana two nights in a row.

This time she wears a black strapless tulle dress with a voluminous skirt.

Carla Gugino and Eva Herzigova have both worn this same dress in nude.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson may look ridiculous in her totally see-through gown with boy shorts and gold pumps, but at least its not black like everyone else.

Wembley Stadium

WAG (nickname used for footballing Wives And Girlfriends) Abigail Clancy was spotted leaving Wembley Stadium after watching her lanky boyfriend Peter Crouch score 2 goals in England’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus.

The game ended 3-0, but the real winner was Abby in the style stakes as she paired a purple Louis Vuitton scarf, with a black blazer, grey jeans, open-toe booties and an Alexander Wang Coco Duffel bag.

On Saturday I attended Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2010 collection. The collection had a heavy mix of feminine and masculine pieces.

I found it very interesting that Cavalli known for very overtly sexy looks, opted to pair soft feminine floaty dresses with pant suits. It had a ‘wear all your clothes at once’ type of feel to it.

A maxi print dress would billow down the runway with pinstriped pants and a blazer, or just pants revealing an open back.

Die hard Cavalli fans may have been shocked by this change in direction, but he did show some more feminine sexy gowns and dresses towards the end of the presentation.

These pink and ivory dresses were very cute and girlie with ruffled details going across the body or down one shoulder.

The colour palette wasn’t as bright as I had expected. Greys, creams, pinks, ivory and navy was presented with of course lots of floral prints.

It will be interesting to see if these looks are worn like the runway, or the feminine and masculine pieces are separated.

Here is a picture of the backdrop after the show. I loved it as it looked like the veranda of a beautiful country garden home.

The show moved so fast, that this was the only picture I took from the show that came out well.

Nina Garcia is the one in the white dress in the front row, who was sitting with the rest of her Marie Claire team.

Milla Jovovich shimmered in a Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 mini flapper dress, when she walked the red carpet at ”The Cavalli Card Party” during Fall 2009 Milan Fashion Week back in March.

The actress paired her look with a leather jacket and black pumps.

Paris Hilton arrived at the MTV screening of her “Paris, Not France” documentary in California late July.

Paris sparkled from head-to-toe pairing her dress with her favourite Le Silla shoes, plus some stunning jewels including a diamond bracelet and diamond earrings.

I’m so tired of people toughening up pretty dresses, so Paris wins for me.
