Halle Berry In Reem Acra – 2018 NAACP Image Awards

Halle Berry made sure she stood out on the red carpet for the 2018 NAACP Image Awards on Monday (January 15) in Pasadena, California.

I’ve read that many stylists photograph their clients in their looks before they hit the red carpet, so Halle was under no illusion that her Reem Acra Fall 2016 gown was so sheer and so very revealing.

I don’t consider myself a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but I found this look very distasteful for the red carpet. Save this look for the boudoir.

This look booked a one-way ticket to my WDOTY list. Horrendous.

2018 Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Following the 2018 Golden Globes black dress code, the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) showcased a range of colours, styles and designers.

Reese Witherspoon: The actress’s most memorable looks often have bold colours, so I was surprised she opted for a black Prada dress. That being said, I thought the short length really worked for her, with the embellishment adding some vicariousness. The Roger Vivier shoes enhanced the playful mood.

Emma Roberts: Her choppy blonde fringe was certainly a talking point, but the elegant simplicity of her Giorgio Armani gown didn’t go unnoticed. The strapless column fit perfectly. She styled it in a very modern way with the gold-toned accessories and by leaving the neckline bare.

Emilia Clarke: Like Reese, the ‘Game of Thrones’ star opted for a shorter black dress. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock with Gianvito Rossi sandals. I would have loved to see the look completed with a red lip as it would have added some warmth while playing up the brand’s Italian film star aesthetic.

Karen Gillan In Reem Acra – ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ LA Premiere

Karen Gillan dazzled at the ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ LA premiere on Monday (December 11).

The Scottish actress beamed in a golden Reem Acra gown. The fluid shape allowed the striking fabric and the low halter back to be the focus.

We’re used to her making bold statements on the red carpet, but I can see this minimalist gown going down better than the detailed golden Prada dress she wore at the London premiere.

My only real gripe here is that the lighting at the premiere wasn’t better. The dress’s metallic sheen could not be been fully enjoyed.

Michelle Monaghan In Reem Acra – Physicians Formula Celebrates 80th Anniversary

Michelle Monaghan attended the Physicians Formula’s 80th anniversary on Thursday (October 19) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a classic black and white Reem Acra Resort 2018 jumpsuit which offers a breezy take on classic tailoring.

With the draped ruffle and black bow defining the look, I love how she kept her accessories simple.

ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

From ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration on Monday (October 16) in Beverly Hills, California, we’ve seen the likes of Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence. Here is a roundup of the rest of the gorgeous actresses who were in attendance.

Jessica Chastain: The vinyl Fashion Week trend didn’t go down too well with the majority, but Jessica put her graceful spin on the trend in Calvin Klein which is the most glamorous interpretation I’ve seen yet.

Margot Robbie: After a colourful week promoting ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’, Margot opted for the simple elegance of Calvin Klein. I adore the sensuality of this look, plus the embellished sandals.

Zoe Lister-Jones: The Chinese influence of her gorgeous McQ Alexander McQueen floral dress is there for all to see. It’s the complementary styling of Irene Neuwirth and blue suede shoes which really perfected the look.

Tatiana Maslany In Reem Acra – 2017 Emmy Awards

After a whimsical turn in florals at the ‘Stronger’ New York premiere, it was back to black for Tatiana Maslany at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17).

The 2016 Emmy winner channelled decades gone by in a custom Reem Acra gown. Side-parted curls and drop earrings played up the retro feel.

The ‘Orphan Black’ star also accessorised with a GLAAD blue ampersand pin, representing the power of unity.

The cut of the dress is fantastic— particularly the neckline—but I’m craving something else. Perhaps, something other than black fabric would have left me feeling wholly satisfied.
