Emily Robinson Loves….White Dresses

White is the new black for up-and-coming starlet Emily Robinson, who’s seemingly never met a white dress she doesn’t like.

What makes her frequent choice of the colour so successful is that, despite the monochrome mood, each and every frock is quite varied as can be seen in the mix of silhouette, styling, and textural dimension in three of her recent looks.

Look 1: With this Carolina Herrera dress, she maintained the epitome of both youthful innocence and ladylike sophistication, with the effortless statement only enhanced by the subtle glitz of embellished metallic heels.

Look 2: A frilled Red Valentino frock was all about schoolgirl charm married with a side of all-grown-up allure.

Look 3: With a nod to the girly lace for which the Self-Portait label is known, this dress ensured plenty of visual interest with its mix of patterns and textures—all topped off with ankle-tie Stella Luna sandals.

You may remember that we even saw the actress’s affinity for white dresses early on, with a floral-printed white look at the 2015 Emmy Awards.

Has she left you inspired to start the spring season on a white note?

Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Party Red Carpet Roundup

A number of additional starlets attended the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood party on Tuesday (February 21) in West Hollywood, California, where the colour black was clearly trending among a few of them.

Victoria Justice: She wore her little black dress dolled up with lace in this Vatanika Spring 2017 number that brought a girly-meets-goth tone to the party.

Shay Mitchell: While this sexy twist on menswear is nothing we haven’t seen before, Shay wore the satiny Elizabeth and James Spring 2017 suit in top form with her sleek locks and  eye-catching, statement earrings adding a striking finish to the look.

Sofia Carson: Her LBD—long black dress—was a shimmering Alex Perry design. The full skirt brought a youthfully feminine flourish to the rectangular interpretation of an illusion plunge neckline.

‘Big Little Lies’ Red Carpet Roundup

We’ve already seen many stars at the premiere of HBO’s ‘Big Little Lies’ on Tuesday (February 7) in Hollywood, California, and here are a few more that joined the list.

Ava Phillippe: ‘Like mother, like daughter’ was the case for Ava and her mom Reese Witherspoon, where the starlet likewise donned a look brimming with feminine yet contemporary edge. I love how her Haney Fall 2017 floral frock was both girly and refined, especially when paired with those corresponding metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Lucy’ pumps.

Kathryn Newton: The actress’s Red Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 tulle dress had a daintiness of form that was sweetly innocent yet maintained a chic edge through the lavender and gray palette that played beautifully with her eye colour and strawberry blonde waves.

Anne Heche: While the midnight-blue and black colour palette was a slightly more serious one, this Carolina Herrera frock featured a ladylike, flared silhouette that still offered a sense of youthful, flirty fun.

Emma Stone In RED Valentino – Jimmy Kimmel Live

For those of you longing for Emma Stone to wear colour, you may want to look away now, as she made a guest appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday (February 6) wearing all black.

Regardless of the colour this RED Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 possesses a charming, youthful take on sophisticated style.

She could’ve opted for boots take this down an edgy glam route, but stuck with the ultra-feminine aesthetic by wearing Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ strappy sandals.

Mandy Moore In Lela Rose, Naeem Khan, Marc Jacobs & RED Valentino – 2017 AFI Awards, W Magazine’s It Girls Party, 2017 Golden Globe Awards, 2017 ELLE’s Annual Women In Television Celebration & NBCUniversal Winter Press Tour

Mandy Moore has served up a many amazing – and typically girlie – looks so far this year.

2017 AFI Awards: Mandy’s first look was fresh and feminine with a feel-good factor. Gingham has always been synonymous with spring, so I love how Lela Rose reworked and enlivened this classic tea-length dress with a cut-out and colour-blocking effect to add some modernity.

TargetStyle, In Vogue

TargetStyle, In Vogue

The TargetStyle, in Vogue event was held at Cedar Lake in New York City on Wednesday (September 9), where Emily Ratajkowski, Amanda Seyfried, and Camila Alves were in attendance in remarkably coordinated ensembles despite their significant style differences.

Emily Ratajkowski: Familiarly sexy, the actress flaunted a Balmain Fall 2015 design that was unified by its use of allover lace. Clearly modified from the runway to be even more skin-baring, the top half of the belted bodysuit maintained the silhouette of the label’s plunging power blazers which created an interesting contrast to the sultry, see-through lace pants below. If nothing else, she looked entirely ready to rock out on a stage somewhere.

Amanda Seyfried: Adorably innocent with a hint of come-hither, seductive flair in the lace bra-like detailing, this RED Valentino Fall 2015 frock was a chic, quietly alluring take on the LBD.

Camila Alves: Likewise embracing the Target red colour scheme, Camila struck a pose in a form-fitting strapless dress that beautifully traced her hourglass curves. A matching sandal rather than nude would have created an even more seamless effect.
