Beyonce Knowles kicked off her 42-city ‘Mrs. Carter Show World Tour’ in Belgrade, Serbia last night, wearing a white crystal- and pearl-embellished bodysuit with a peplum skirt and fringed epaulettes, designed by Ralph & Russo.
They are not the only ones who will be dressing Beyoncé during this epic tour.
Peter Dundas, Creative Director at Emilio Pucci, has created four looks for Beyoncé, for which he drew inspiration from his Fall 2013 collection. The costumes will resonate with the singer’s modern take on glamour and complement the theatrical storytelling of the ‘Mrs. Carter Show’.
Dean and Dan Caten from DSquared2 will also be dressing Beyoncé for her tour, creating exclusive pieces inspired by their ‘Glamazons’ Spring 2013 collection.
As for the shoes, Beyonce’s stylist and mother, Tina Knowles, worked with Stuart Weitzman to create footwear to complement her costumes, ranging from stiletto pumps with Swarovski crystal detailing, to lace military-influenced ankle- and knee-high boots.
Beyonce’s world tour runs until August 5, when she will close at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn – aptly.
