The Royal Marsden Dinner Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty more lovely ladies, plus Benedict Cumberbatch, who attended The Royal Marsden Dinner, hosted by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle in England on Tuesday (May 13).

Zhang Ziyi, Emma Watson and Margot Robbie all wore grey, but here we have a lot of black Ralph Lauren looks.

Kate Moss: The British model was the only one not to follow the Ralph Lauren dress code, opting for a black one-sleeve dress with a side slit styled with sexy black strappy Christian Louboutin ‘Audrey’ sandals and a silver clutch.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Following on from his Met Gala best-dressed-actor triumph, the ‘Sherlock’ star proved it was no fluke, looking very dashing in a Ralph Lauren Black Label peak-lapel tuxedo.

Lily James: Looking very much the lady of the manor, the ‘Downton Abbey’ actress wore a Ralph Lauren one-of-a-kind black and gold gown embroidered with feathers and beads. This was one of my favourites: dramatic and glamorous.

Cate Blanchett In Ralph Lauren - The Royal Marsden DinnerCate Blanchett was also among the stars on the dinner-party guest list at the Duke of Cambridge’s The Royal Marsden Dinner, hosted at Windsor Castle in England on Tuesday (May 13), where she joined Zhang Ziyi, Margot Robbie and Emma Watson.

As is custom, Cate was the epitome of elegance in a white Ralph Lauren Fall 2014 one-shoulder column gown.

The classic-contemporary design was only made sleeker with the half-cape detail that draped over her arm.

Of course, the look was impeccable styled with crystal chandelier earrings, a refined cream clutch, radiant makeup and a side-swept updo.

J’adore.

Emma Watson In Ralph Lauren - The Royal Marsden Dinner

Emma Watson also was in the mix, alongside Zhang Ziyi and Margot Robbie, at the Duke of Cambridge’s Royal Marsden dinner held on Tuesday (May 13) at Windsor Castle in England.

Following suit, she likewise kept the grey theme alive in her Ralph Lauren Fall 2014 ensemble, consisting of a beautifully draped skirt and a structured white button-down shirt.

The juxtaposition of the tailored top with the elegant fluidity of the skirt couldn’t have been more chic, especially when styled with a thin white belt, metallic box Roger Vivier Maxi Boite de Nuit clutch and that dramatic oxblood lip.

This ensemble was a classically effortless interpretation of the runway styling. Do you agree?

Repossi ear cuff, Ana Khour necklace and Monica Vinader ring also accessorized her look.

Margot Robbie In Ralph Lauren - The Royal Marsden DinnerMargot Robbie was also at the dinner to celebrate the work of The Royal Marsden, hosted by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle in England on Tuesday (May 13).

Like Zhang Ziyi, Margot worked several shades of grey, hers also courtesy of Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2014 collection.

The long-sleeve, jersey-style wrapped bodice with an open back provided a casual contrast to the slinky silken skirt that languidly puddled on the ground.

She accessorized with gemstone pendant earrings and a matching clutch, but it was her heavy kohl-rimmed eyes that proved an unnecessary distraction here. A lighter touch would have been preferred.

Last week didn’t bring Margot’s greatest style moments. Has her grey gown put her back in your good graces?

Zhang Ziyi In Ralph Lauren - The Royal Marsden DinnerZhang Ziyi was in attendance at a dinner to celebrate the work of The Royal Marsden, hosted by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England on Tuesday (May 13).

The Asian star worked her flair for the dramatic in a Ralph Lauren Fall 2014 gown, rendered in a powdery shade of dove grey and dusted with lightly glittering beading.

She further enhanced the dress with a matching feathered wrap, which echoed the soft silhouette that cascaded into a sea of organza overlay at the bottom.

It was a regal impression, fitting for a dinner with the Duke.
