Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s a look at the men who have been making the red-carpet rounds this week.

Tom Holland: Joining Pom Klementieff for the ‘Avengers Infinity War’ Seoul premiere on Thursday (April 12), Tom cut a cool profile. I really found myself liking this non-suit offering, as it was casual but still felt appropriate and fresh for the young British actor.

Tom Hiddleston: In contrast to the other Tom, Tom Hiddleston opted for more formality at the ‘Avengers Infinity War’ Seoul premiere. I loved how dapper this striking navy three-piece Ralph Lauren suit translated on him—his glasses no doubt helping the cause.

Benedict Cumberbatch
: Also at the ‘Avengers Infinity War’ Seoul premiere, Benedict stole my heart with this aubergine suit. The colour is just so rich and decadent.

GLAAD’s 2018 Rising Stars Luncheon

The GLAAD’s 2018 Rising Stars Luncheon on Wednesday (April 11) in Beverly Hills, California brought some major fashion. The Rising Stars program supports the next generation of LGBTQ change makers who are working to change communities of all sizes.

Alexandra Shipp: The actress couldn’t have picked a more suitable dress for the occasion as the multicoloured bands on her Ralph Lauren Spring 2018 gown nod to the LGBTQ rainbow flag. With their placement, they have a sporty undertone and enhance her figure in a striking manner. The accessories and makeup play into the magnetic tones.

Nafessa Williams: The ‘Black Lightning’ actress celebrated volume in a full Falguni Shane Peacock look. It’s an exuberant ensemble, especially for a luncheon, but she has such a confidence in it, and I love that. She is also posing just so to show off every part from the flounce in the skirt to the exaggerated shoulders.

Emma Watson In Ralph Lauren Collection – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emma Watson also enjoyed an evening at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 4).

The actress turned back the hands of time a bit by wearing a Ralph Lauren Fall 2013 velvet gown and Vivier mules.

This gown is such a sophisticated and elegant option, and I just love it on Emma. I do wish she had opted for the slightly more exciting midnight blue color we see here on the runway, but with this intricate chain work on the bodice and her ultra-piecey bangs and shag haircut, Emma is a vision.

Also of note is the statement-making accessory on her forearm: a Time’s Up tattoo, which is undoubtedly temporary.

Eiza Gonzalez In Ralph Lauren Collection – 2018 Oscars

Eiza Gonzalez brightened up the 2018 Oscars at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California, joining Betty GabrielAllison Williams, Sofia Carson and Allison Janney.

The actress, who is on presenting duties this evening, showcased sporty minimalism in a Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2018 gown.

With a restrained silhouette and fabrication, every detail had to be perfect and I must say that the sunny dress delivered. It made me think of the red Calvin Klein dress Jennifer Lawrence wore to the 2011 Oscars.

The BRIT Awards 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Long, short, and everything in between, the eclectic looks marched on with so many more stars in attendance at The Brit Awards 2018 on Wednesday (February 21) in London.

Jennifer Hudson: I loved the sizzling hue of this red-hot Ralph Lauren gown, but not the fit. The patent-plasticized look would have been all shine had the silhouette been sleeker without the awkward folds.

Adwoa Aboah: Rita Ora wasn’t the only one in feathers, as Adwoa also took a flight of fancy with this Sonia Rykiel white dress. The model’s directional looks can sometimes be a tough sell, so I like the pristine romance she presented here with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals and a Time’s Up rose to complete the picture.

Maya Jama: Given this House of Holland mini was a custom piece, I expected an impeccable fit and the pink metallic number delivered. She complemented its flirty, girlish side with Sophia Webster embellished sandals. But, I would have left the diamond choker at home.

Hailey Baldwin In Ralph Lauren Collection – The BRIT Awards 2018

Hailey Baldwin projected vampy allure this evening (February 21) at The Brit Awards 2018 in London, joining Haim, Cheryl and Camila Cabello.

The model showed off her curves in a Ralph Lauren Collection Fall 2017 gown.

The designer is known for his preppy, All-American aesthetic, so I love how she has taken the shimmering style in a darker direction.

With the blackish lipstick, it takes on a spellbinding punky romance.

I’m so swept up in it that I almost don’t notice the skirt pooling ever-so-slightly on the ground. Almost.

Did you like the lipstick?

Jennifer Lawrence In Ralph Lauren & Alexander McQueen – ‘Red Sparrow’ Washington, DC Screening

Before exuding modern elegance at the 2018 BAFTAs, Jennifer Lawrence had already impressed me whilst at the ‘Red Sparrow’ Washington, DC screening on Thursday (February 15).

Many will note immediately that she was not dressed in Dior, rather opting for an ensemble that featured both Ralph Lauren and Alexander McQueen.

I love the sophisticated, contemporary quality offered by the tailored jacket, ensuring that the sexiness of the LBD and thigh-high boots was delivered at just the right pitch.

Styled with her necklace chains and a double French braid, the entire effect had a distinct cool-girl vibe that was edgy in all the right ways.

Would you agree?
