Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Whitney Port arrived at the NYLON Young Hollywood Party at the Roosevelt Hotel in LA last night with her boyfriend Ben Nemtin.

As much as Olivia Palermo likes to take sly digs at Whitney’s style, I think she looked really good at this event.

“The City” star wore a stunning sunshine yellow Rachel Roy Spring 2010 draped dress.

I love this dress on her because she has the height to pull it off, its a beautiful burst of colour and it’s so different to what she normally wears.

As much as I hate handbags on the red carpet, her one doesn’t ick me too much as I’m glad she didn’t wear it as a cross-over bag.

What I love most about her look are her open-toe Giuseppe Zanotti shoes which are covered in colourful embellishments.

Hilary Rhoda wore an interesting mix of colours as she walked the red carpet at the “2010 Tribeca Ball” in New York last night.

She arrived wearing a navy strapless Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2010 ensemble with a gathered detail on the skirt and a textured panels on the bustier.

Hilary has worn Rachel Roy on many occasions, so it’s not a surprise to see her continue to support the talented designer.

I love the yellow sandals and white clutch she wore with this dress to stop the look from being boring.

If I would’ve changed one thing, I would lose the necklace.

Olivia Palermo looked graceful as ever on the red carpet at the “2010 Tribeca Ball” in New York last night.

As beautiful as her Rachel Roy Fall 2010 chiffon print dress is, I’m finding it very hard to like this look on her.

The colour is really drab despite her efforts to inject some fun into this look with the cream feathered clutch.

She teams her look with black heels and a large cocktail ring.

I don’t hate it, but she’s had much better moments.

How do you feel about this look?

I’m loving my flip camera at the moment as it helped me create this video of Rachel Roy’s Fall 2010 presentation which I saw yesterday evening.

I’m a huge fan of Rachel Roy’s ultra feminine, but not too girlie pieces. Her looks can go from a boardroom to a dinner party without tweaking nor accessorizing.

What I noticed from her Fall collection was a strong emphasis on evening wear, which Rachel doesn’t tend to focus on.

The finale gown was my favourite. The strapless beaded gown deserves a red carpet moment.

Apart from the gowns we were presented with pant suits, skirt suits, and tailored jackets – Roy’s staples.

The tailoring was impeccable as always on the skirt suits, and I loved the inclusion of a lot of metallic pieces.

The colour palette was a mix dark romantic colours like eggplant, dark grey and black to pops of fuchsia and aqua.

The shoes – which I zoomed in on during my video – are from Rachel Roy’s Manolo Blahnik collection, and the bags were by Nancy Gonzalez.

Guests included ex-husband Damon Dash, Miss J, Whitney Port and Keke Palmer who is interviewed at the end of my video.

Kelly Rowland was at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, as the former Destiny Child’s member was nominated in the “Song of the Year” category for “When Love Takes Over” – a collabo with David Guetta.

She walked the red carpet wearing a colourful Rachel Roy dress from the Resort 2010 collection.

I love the mish-mash of colours on the dress.

The watercolour print on the top and the swirling print on the skirt are really interesting, but I hate the bows on Kelly’s chartreuse Matthew Williamson Spring 2010 heels.

The colour is fine, but the bows are awkward.

Veronica Webb looked spectacular wearing a dusky pink Rachel Roy Spring 2010 long sleeved dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

Long necklaces, a pink studded clutch and grey Manolo Blahnik heels designed by Rachel Roy completed her look.

Rachel Roy was also there to show how fabulous she can look on the red carpet.

She also wore her Manolo Blahnik heels with an aqua wrap dress from her Spring 2010 collection.

A black clutch and a stunning gold necklace completed her look.

Miuccia Prada’s biggest fan Anna Wintour stepped out wearing the same red velvet Prada Fall 2009 dress we’ve seen on Jessica Alba.

Michelle Harper struck a serious pose wearing a Zac Posen Fall 2009 dress, which she strangely paired with Trib Two’s.

I’m not liking the length of her dress, but then Lily is freakishly tall.

Ashley Greene continues to give us fabulousity by wearing a gorgeous black D&G ensemble which includes a sheer tank and black ruched skirt with embroidery detail.

She’s having a fabulous week.

I know a lot of you love Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, but at times like this I wonder what all the fuss is about.

The only thing worth drooling over are Ashley’s canary yellow Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps.

Rose Byrne opted for a sheer dress which had a sequin skirt and a criss cross sequin detail on the bodice.
