David Webb Hosts STOP CANCER

Priyanka Chopra and Sofia Vergara showed their support at the David Webb Hosts STOP CANCER event on Friday (November 10) in Beverly Hills, California.

Priyanka Chopra: The ‘Quantico’ actress has a knack for choosing memorable gowns. This Preen Fall 2017 dress left a lasting impression on me because it showed a different side of her. The large yellow and black check had a punk edge which was played up with the fashion-forward silhouette. I love how she gave the frock a glamorous finish with David Webb jewels and black cut-out shoes.

Sofia Vergara: There seems to be no dress that the ‘Modern Family’ actress can’t pull off. This style still had her signature sexy glamour thanks to the corset top, but there was also a softness about it thanks to the muted floral print on the dark background and the gently flared skirt. David Webb jewels added some shine and were in keeping with her penchant for donning statement accessories.

Carey Mulligan In Preen – ‘Mudbound’ AFI FEST 2017 Screening

Carey Mulligan attended the ‘Mudbound’ AFI FEST 2017 screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (November 9) in Hollywood, California, joining Mary J. Blige.

I have always been enamored with the way the actress puts a high-fashion twist on classic feminine shapes, pulling them off with an easy elegance. That was demonstrated in this Preen Spring 2018 dress.

The ankle-length number has details aplenty, but it doesn’t feel contrived when paired with the coordinating peep-toe shoes and her soft hair and makeup.

I’m sure there are a number of people who will be pleased to see Carey’s dress has been lined in black. I like the lining overall, but wish some panels had a neutral lining as details get lost against the black.

Alexa Chung In Preen – British Vogue’s December Issue Dinner Party

Alexa Chung joined Alicia Vikander to toast Edward Enninful’s first cover for British Vogue on Tuesday (November 7) in London.

You’d be forgiven for thinking Alexa’s frock was part of her own ALEXACHUNG collection considering the red ‘A’ stitched onto her dress, but this dress hails from Preen’s Spring 2018 collection, which was inspired by the novel ‘The Scarlet Letter’.

Some might not be too enamored by the chunky black boots styling of this pretty printed frock, but adding a boyish twist is not unfamiliar when it comes to Alexa Chung, plus they give the summery look a mild Fall reference which I found myself appreciating.

Kate Bosworth In Preen & Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Long Road Home’ Q&A and Premiere

Kate Bosworth is busy promoting ‘The Long Road Home,’ first attending a Q&A on Monday (October 30) in Los Angeles, California and later the premiere.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s ‘Long Road Home’ Q&A: Straddling the line between fall and spring, the actress donned a Preen Spring 2018 look. I love how this is an ensemble from next season, but the orange, yellow and muted pink tones still have an autumnal feel. The more modest modifications to the frock also made it feel more appropriate for now, as did the black accessories.

Kate Bosworth In Preen – ‘Jane’ National Geographic Documentary Films’ Premiere

Kate Bosworth has been experimenting with different styles which haven’t gone down too well lately, but she was back to her best for the premiere of National Geographic Documentary Films’ ‘Jane’ on Monday (October 9) in Hollywood, California.

This is the Kate Bosworth I love: current, fashion savvy and bold in colour.

Spliced with asymmetrical cuts, silver embroidery and off kilter layering, her pleated Preen Spring 2018 handkerchief hem frock was perfectly styled with Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Harmony’ crystal sandals.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Preen – CBS’ ‘The Carol Burnett Show 50th Anniversary

Tracee Ellis Ross sparkled brightly at CBS’ ‘The Carol Burnett Show 50th Anniversary Special’ on Wednesday (October 4) in LA.

While this Preen ‘Clarissa’ dress from the Fall 2017 collection delivered high-octane dazzle, I would almost venture to say it was a more subdued look for Tracee’s particular brand of sartorial quirkiness.

That said, I loved the sequined, slim-fitting number on her, and as per, she rocked it—with her full curls and oxblood lip completing the dramatic, slightly retro appeal.

The pumps are the only element I’d change.
