Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Milla Jovovich rarely fails to bring some major glamour to the red carpet, and she did not let us down at the de Grisogono party, held in Cannes on Wednesday night during Cannes Film Festival.

The actress looked like a million dollars wearing a plunging gold Prada gown decorated in oversized sequins.

A thigh-high side split and gilded neckline embroidery added to the vintage vibe of this look.

Milla played up the golden-girl factor with matching Swarovski chain earrings, an embellished minaudiere and strappy sandals.

A wavy bob and glossy lips complete the look.

It’s a shame she didn’t pack blot powder in her chic Sergio Rossi clutch.

The Cannes festivities continued in France on Monday night as Gemma Arterton attended the IWC Filmmakers Dinner.

The actress looked chic in an embellished Prada Spring 2012 LBD.

Transformed from a bodysuit as presented on the runway, the actress also opted for blue crystals, rather than red, for her step-and-repeat-ready look.

Had she worn a dress with the red crystals, they would have coordinated perfectly with her ruby lip colour.

A messy updo, clunky bag and white Louis Vuitton toe-cap heels add up to some unfortunate styling.

White shoes are becoming quite a trend at Cannes. Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger and Kirsten Dunst have all worn white shoes this week.

Berenice Bejo attended the ‘Lawless’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals this evening.

This was her first appearance on the red carpet at the festival since she opened the event on Wednesday.

She went from the sublime to the ridiculous wearing a Prada Spring 2012 custom gown.

The mishmash of runway pieces to create this gown is comical.

“Let’s stick the patterned bodice of the bodysuit with the pleated two-tone skirt and we have a winning Cannes look.”

Mia Wasikowska attended a photocall for her latest movie, ‘Lawless,’ during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival earlier today.

The Australian actress wore a colourful Prada print dress.

Her uncharacteristicly vibrant, print knee-length cap sleeve dress was teamed with coral Prada slingbacks.

A simple side-parted hairstyle and barely there makeup completed the look.

Jessica Chastain joined her co-star wearing a dress with a striped top and black pencil skirt.

Giuseppe Zanotti slingbacks with an etched-out heel accessorized her look.

On this occasion, she kept her hair simple by opting to keep it straight, with a single braid.

Let’s hope she can top yesterday night’s premiere with an even better look tonight.

Milla Jovovich appeared to be having a great time on the red carpet last night at the 2012 Met Gala, held in New York City.

Joining a number of celebrities who wore Prada to the event, Milla chose a red double-satin shredded-skirt gown, embellished with onyx floral beading.

Playing up the flapper vibe of the dress, Milla showed off the movement of the skirt, striking a number of poses on the red carpet.

Her 1920s side-parted ‘do adds to the playful-yet-glam look.

An embellished clutch and black peep-toes, both Prada, complete the ensemble.

Mia Wasikowska joined a number of celebrities wearing Prada at the 2012 Met Gala in New York City last night.

The young actress looked prim and pretty wearing a raspberry cady-silk short-sleeve gown with a black waistband and high neck collar enhanced with black crystal embroidery.

Prada shoes and clutch accessorize the look.

Retro-waves and dark lips – two of the night’s biggest beauty trends – add the perfect finishing touches.
