Carey Mulligan Arrives In Cannes Wearing Prada

Carey Mulligan was spotted arriving by boat to Cannes today with her boyfriend and co-star Shia LaBeouf.

About 6 months ago I would’ve been excited about Carey being at Cannes, but following the a few mishaps most notably her Met Gala disaster I’m not getting my hopes up.

She did look gorgeous today wearing a Prada dress from the new Prada Print Collection with Ferragamo pumps.

This collection was inspired by a 1950s flared fitted-at-the-waist dress, which is very much Carey’s style.

The print reference is from the Prada archives.

Prada Print Collection is on sale now.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Lady GaGa In Prada

Lady GaGa disappointed us all by not walking the red carpet on Monday night, but Prada have released a picture of her wearing her Prada black tuxedo.

Shame that the photographer didn’t get her to stand up so we could take in the whole look, which seems quite tame by GaGa’s standards.

I’m more interested in what Miuccia Prada is wearing as she looks fabulous.

Is it me or does GaGa have grey hair in this picture?

2010 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner – Scarlett Johansson In Miu Miu

Scarlett Johansson went from hero last week to zero this week.

The “Iron Man 2” actress attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington DC last night wearing a pink sweetheart neckline Miu Miu dress.

Unfortunately there is nothing sweet about this dress.

It looks like a maternity dress.

The dress is ill-fitting especially on the top.

I’m really surprised this is Miu Miu, and not made by a “Project Runway” reject as it’s so poorly made from the fit to the construction.

I do like the colour though.

Matching Prada heels and a matching Miu Miu clutch complete the look.

Who Wore Prada Better? Lara Bingle or Lee Na Young

Model Lara Bingle wore this Prada Resort 2010 candy coloured dress with a draped back detail whilst promoting Aussie energy drink ‘Synergy’.

Lara loves Prada and it appears that Prada loves her, because she looks really fresh and youthful in this dress with her blonde beach hair worn down around her shoulders.

I would’ve liked to have seen her wear a different shoe to the grey suede Louboutin’s.

Actress Lee Na Young wore the same dress to the VIP screening of “Happy Change” earlier this year.

I like this on her but I not crazy about it on her.

When I see the nude heels Lee wore, I appreciated why Lara opted for a contrasting colour.

I think the nude top half of this dress washes Lee out a bit, so Lara wins for me.

2010 Oscars – Carey Mulligan In Prada

Meh Award
Many of you won’t be surprised to see Carey Mulligan wearing Prada on the red carpet at the 2010 Oscars tonight.

The Best Actress Nominee opted for a black strapless Prada dress which had a voluminous skirt with a rise and fall hem.

I loved the dress when I saw it on TV, but that’s because I saw it from the waist up.

The bodice is encrusted with stunning Swarovski crystals which cascades down the skirt.

My problem with this look is the skirt.  I really wish it reached the floor all the way around, so for me this is a disappointing look for Carey.

I had a sneaking feeling she would let me down.

The look was paired with a black satin Prada clutch, black satin platform Prada heels and some beautiful earrings.

Runway To 2010 Film Independent Spirit Awards – Dana Delany In Prada

Fails To Pull It Off Award
Dana Delany loves Prada. She often wears this brand to major award ceremonies.

To the 2010 Film Independent Spirit Awards last night in LA she wore a Prada Resort 2010 tribal print dress.

As much as I love the dress and she accessorized really well – some may think too matchy matchy – she fails to pull off this complicated look imo.

I feel like she wore this too look hip, rather than because she liked it or because it suited her because it doesn’t.
