Anne-Marie Duff In Prada – ‘Before I Go To Sleep’ London Gala Screening

Anne-Marie Duff In Prada - ‘Before I Go To Sleep’ London Gala Screening

Anne-Marie Duff joined Nicole Kidman for the gala screening for ‘Before I Go To Sleep’ held at The Ham Yard Hotel on Thursday (September 4) in London, England.

Opting for one of the scarf-detailed pieces from Prada’s Fall 2014 collection, while I want to applaud Anne-Marie for taking on such a tricky choice, the end result was disappointing.

The tan/magenta colour combo on the right person – Rose Byrne or Eva Mendes perhaps – could’ve been an electrifying one; however, it falls flat on Anne-Marie.

That single button ensuring the plunge didn’t reach her navel cheapens the look, and the shoes – good God, those shoes are awfully clunky.

Lea Seydoux In Prada – ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Tokyo Press Conference

Lea Seydoux In Prada - 'Beauty and The Beast' Tokyo Press Conference

Lea Seydoux attended a press conference for the premiere of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ held at the Hotel Okura Tokyo today (September 4) in Tokyo, Japan.

Sporting retro waves, you won’t be surprised to see the French beauty wearing Prada, because her go-to brands these days are Prada and Miu Miu.

I am totally captivated by this art-deco-print long-sleeved frock from the Fall 2014 collection which features narrow piped gold trims ensuring a figure-flattering silhouette.

I wish I was more excited about the brown Mary Jane pumps; however, they do complement the look, plus they are event appropriate.

Are the shoes too mumsy for you?

Catherine Deneuve In Prada – ‘3 Coeurs’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Catherine Deneuve In Prada - '3 Coeurs' Venice Film Festival Photocall2
Catherine Deneuve attended the photo call for her film, ‘3 Coeurs,’ as part of the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Saturday (August 30).

The screen icon left no pattern unturned in a Prada Resort 2015 dress that featured an intricately decorative and brightly hued floral print.

Having been stripped of many of its original runway bells and whistles, including the label’s signature embellishment and eclectic styling, the frock had a more sophisticated and less quirky, but also less interesting, edge.

Jade-green earrings and black Saint Laurent ‘Tribtoo’ platform sandals completed the look.

Another more delicate and less imposing shoe might have made all the difference, here, as this pair was far too heavy—and frankly rather twee—for all that print.

‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales #7 – #8’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

'Miu Miu Women's Tales #7 - #8' - Premiere - 71st Venice Film Festival

A collection of six starlets were at the ‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales #7-#8’ premiere, held during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Thursday (August 28). Naturally, all were representing the label, donning a range of Miu Miu looks that couldn’t have each been more different if they tried.

Dakota Fanning: The trendsetting starlet wore a Miu Miu creamy white satin sheath dress with beaded embellishment, paired with nude platform Miu Miu pumps and a bejeweled grass-green Miu Miu clutch. I would have loved to see the same punch of colour in her shoe, along with an updo.

Kirsten Dunst: The actress went for a retro spin in an A-line Miu Miu dress featuring a funky blue and white swirl print. She accessorized with pops of silver via her clutch and sandals, not to mention the flash of those side-swept platinum locks.

Kate Mara: Donning the same nude platforms as Dakota, Kate wore hers with a nude Miu Miu dress with allover paillettes and a sparkling, decorative neckline. The design was pretty and carried with it a vintage flair, but the colour washed out her complexion, especially with her neutral makeup.

Felicity Jones: Her embellished, midnight-blue Miu Miu dress with sheer sleeves had the fall season written all over it. Black pointy pumps did nothing to lighten the look, but the actress did take a more summery, breezy approach to her barely-there makeup.

Lena Dunham: Once again opting for a head-scratcher of a look, the ‘Girls’ star didn’t exactly stand out for the right reasons in her sombre, daresay frumpy, patterned frock. The Prada dress and the flat, block-heel sandals aged her far beyond my liking—as did her beehive ’do.

Nicoletta Romanoff: The only one to really embrace what’s left of summer, Nicoletta was the most polished of the bunch in her flirty and youthful white ruffle blouse and lemon-yellow skirt by Miu Miu, paired with breezy waves and sun-kissed makeup. If I were to nitpick, I would have selected a colourful, fun sandal not this chunkier brown pair.

Kerry Washington In Prada – 2014 Emmy Awards

Kerry Washington dazzled everyone who saw her on the red carpet of the 2014 Emmy Awards tonight (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The ‘Scandal’ star and new mom wore an eye-catching orange double silk cady strapless column Prada gown with blue, green and clear micro-bed enriched edges and an underlying navy mini skirt embroidered with crystals and paillettes.

A Prada clutch and pumps and Fred Leighton jewelry completed the look.

This dress has everything a memorable red carpet gown should: A fabulous color, an unexpected detail and some drama, and Kerry is the perfect woman to pull it off.

And, lest you ever think Kerry should rest on the laurels of a great gown, she also pulled out an incredible beauty look with a blue smokey eye and new lob hairstyle.

Are you as enchanted as I am?
