‘A Wrinkle in Time’ London Premiere

The European premiere of ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ on Tuesday (March 13) in London saw a trio of other ladies on the red carpet in addition to the film’s stars, Reese Witherspoon, Storm Reid, and Mindy Kaling.

Ava DuVernay: The film’s director dressed the part in a Prada ankle-length gown with a mini train and articulated shoulders that was pure magic simply by virtue of its cornflower-blue colour. I love the delicate yet effective addition of the embellished belt with a brocade clutch, silver pumps, and a dynamite red lip to round out the look. This was such a lovely showing, from top to toe, for Ava.

Oprah Winfrey: Wearing a look that was elegantly within her wheelhouse, Oprah donned a lightly embellished blouse, obi-style belt, and floor-sweeping Brunello Cucinelli Spring 2018 skirt that was her version of stylized glamour, and the pure effortlessness of it all is what really translated so strongly.

Kathryn Newton: The young starlet wore a darling, ruffled Valentino dress. While the magenta boots perhaps introduced an element of quirky whimsy to the look, I found them to be too strong of a competitor with the frock. I would have preferred to see it stand alone on its own chic merits.

Storm Reid In Prada – ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ London Premiere

Storm Reid joined co-star Reese Witherspoon on the red carpet in London this evening (March 13) for the European premiere ‘A Wrinkle In Time’.

Prada created an endlessly fun, hot pink custom dress with an ornate crystal embroidery and playful bows for the young actress.

It was cute enough to highlight her tender years, and stylish enough to considered one of her best looks to date.

I know many of you weren’t fans of the open back feature of Millie Bobby Brown’s Golden Globes dress, but when accented by bows, I think Storm’s look makes quite an impression.

I love that she opted for a darker raspberry sandals rather than being matchy. They add weight and a striking dimension to this stellar offering.

Katherine Langford In Prada – ‘Love, Simon’ New York Premiere

Katherine Langford stepped out at the ‘Love, Simon’ New York premiere on Thursday (March 8) in New York City.

The Australian actress glistened in a Prada gown which had an enchanting retro sentiment with the cinched waist and short-sleeved silhouette.

With the wash of sequins and embellished belt buckle, the black hue was the perfect antidote as it imbued the look with an inky magic.

She could have increased the vintage glamour with the typical red lipstick and pin curls, but I was pleased she took it in a more youthful direction with the voluminous side ponytail and soft makeup.

2018 Oscars & Oscar Parties Menswear Roundup

Many of the men brought their A game to the 2018 Oscars and Oscars parties, including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (March 4) in California.

Chadwick Boseman: The ‘Black Panther’ star continued his reign of sartorial power in this Givenchy Haute Couture suit that was inspired by a full look in the Spring 2018 collection. However, I love how he made the long, embellished jacket his own—sleekly styling it with black shirting and trousers and the zipper-accented shoes.

Donald Glover: This Gucci tux such a handsome-luxe approach with the velvet jacket taking it to the next level in partnership with the relaxed-suave appeal of the slipper shoes. A David Yurman ring completed the look.

Tom Holland: Sometimes double-breasted jackets can come across as a bit contrived, but I love how Tom wore this Hermès suit so sharply. It was a standout on the Oscars red carpet with his Piaget watch adding that final touch.

2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

The crush of beauties continued in full force on the red carpet of the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

Odeya Rush: The young starlet was a vision in this neon-bright chartreuse Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. The sculptural, one-shoulder ruffle detail is nothing we haven’t seen before, but the bold colour made the look feel dynamic. I do think she could have offered up a more youthful beauty look—and less bronzer—to accompany the sophisticated sass of the gown.

Dree Hemingway: There was a delicate daintiness to this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 nude, embellished lace gown, which Dree echoed in her minimal hair and makeup. The yellow-tinged, ribbon belt made all the difference in breathing a bit of life into the neutral dress, with Repossi jewels to complete the look.
