Uma Thurman In Prada – Cannes Film Festival 70th Anniversary Celebration

If your first thought when you saw Uma Thurman’s Prada gown on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this evening was Anne Hathaway’s 2013 Oscar dress, you’re not only.

Not only do they share the same pretty pink hue, but they also share the frustrating feeling of wanting, yet failing to love it.

I mean, what is going on around the midriff?

An extra hour with a seamstress would’ve worked out that kink surely.

It’s such a shame because had so much plenty of potential and could’ve been one of the stand-out looks of the night.

A pink Prada clutch and gold sandals completed her look.

Elle Fanning In Prada – Prada Private Dinner

In the anticipation of seeing Nicole Kidman, Fan Bingbing (who’s been M.I.A. since the opening ceremony) and Sonam Kapoor, we totally under estimated the presence young Elle Fanning would have on Cannes Film Festival.

Her run has been simply flaw-free, and that was extended last night (May 22) at the Prada dinner.

Sophisticated whimsy is how I would describe this Spring 2017 look.

While there appears to be a lot going on with the feathers and retro accessories, the air of uncompromising cool makes this a BDOTW worthy look for me.

Trophée Chopard Ceremony

A range of stars indulged in a range of sparkling looks at the Trophée Chopard Ceremony on Monday (May 22) as part of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Marion Cotillard: None shone more brightly than Marion who took my breath away in a Halpern Fall 2017 masterwork styled with a diamond collar necklace. I could gush on and on about the fantasy of the design’s radiant, colour-swirled paillettes, the unexpected mod edge of the pants, and the impossibly long, shimmering train. But, we should just let the look do the talking.

Elle Fanning In Prada – ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Elle Fanning was sans-Nicole Kidman for the ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ photocall during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 21).

This film is set in the 70s, however, Elle was channeling 60s chic opting for a platforms and a Prada Fall 2017 shift dress featuring a seductive graphic print of women from the 60s by Robert McGinnis, styled with Laurence Dacade heels.

I’m not a huge fan of platforms, but there was clearly a theme for this photocall which was also adopted by her co-stars, so I’m totally onboard with the playful, fun vibe of this look.
