‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ London Premiere Menswear Roundup

'The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1' Menswear Roundup

We’ve seen what the leading ladies wore for the world premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ held at Odeon Leicester Square on Monday (November 10) in London, England, so here’s a quick roundup of the leading men.

Liam Hemsworth: Decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana, the actor looked very handsome wearing a classic three-piece suit with a polka dot pocket square. I hope he serves up some variation in his suiting this time around. I’m not holding my breath.

Josh Hutcherson: Now this is more like it. Josh electrified the red carpet wearing a cobalt-blue Ralph Lauren Black Label suit styled with Christian Louboutin shoes.

Sam Claflin: Usually the one I look to for his unique take on mens red carpet dressing, as he tends to steer away from opting for just black all the time, I am surprised by how much I didn’t like this Prada look. I would only save the double-breasted bordeaux jacket, as I was put off by the strict buttoned up shirt and grey trousers, plus I am missing his signature printed scarf which would’ve jazzed up this look.

Looking at Sam, it’s clear that in parts the lighting at this event was too harsh.

Katherine Waterston attended the AFI FEST 2014 gala premiere of ‘Inherent Vice’ held at the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday (November 8) in Hollywood, California.

Proving that Prada can whip up a stunning gown, she wore a black gown suspended by silver leather straps highlighting the plunging V-neckline and surrounding the waist, taking inspiration from the Fall 2014 collection.

With no clutch or jewels to speak of, the look was styled with a chic updo and neutral makeup.

This is a classic case of less = more.

Felicity Jones In Prada – Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ Governors Awards

Felicity Jones In Prada - Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ Governors Awards

Felicity Jones attended the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ Governors Awards at The Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center on Saturday (November 8) in Hollywood, California.

Prada has to go down as the most frustrating inconsistent brand when it comes to off-runway gowns.

They have some excruciatingly bad moments (Nicole Kidman and Kristen Wiig) and some breathtakingly brilliant moments (Emily Blunt and Gemma Arterton).

This would be one of the good moments, although they can’t be held accountable for that lopsided hairdo.

Cut in a simple silhouette to which we have become accustomed when it comes to Miss Jones, the embellishments prevent this from being a snooze. Styled with a midnight-blue Edie Parker clutch and bold red lip, the look was given an edge with a silver ear cuff.

Kerry Washington In Prada – 18th Annual Accessories Council ACE Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 18th Annual Accessories Council ACE Awards held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Monday (November 3) in New York City.

The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a diagonal check Prada dress enriched with light blue crystals which she styled with glitter Louboutin pumps and a purple satin Prada clutch.

If it weren’t for the crystal detailing this would’ve felt very much like a school uniform. Do you agree?

Her efforts with the styling are commendable, but yet they fail to get me excited about this look.

Jessica Chastain attended the ‘Interstellar’ New York premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (November 3) in New York City following her guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.

Once again it was another fashion homerun from my girl, who has been flawless during this promo tour.

She dazzled in a Prada – yes, Prada (I’m just as surprised as you are) – black halter gown with glistening crystal detailing which enhanced her radiant glow.

With no jewels or clutch in sight, the actress opted to focus on her eyes, highlighting them with precision to give her a more defined look.

At this rate Jessica is in danger of topping Lupita Nyong’o as my girl of the year.

‘Interstellar’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

'Interstellar' LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of a few more looks which hit the red carpet on Sunday evening (October 26) for the ‘Interstellar’ LA premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX.

Jess Weixler: The actress, who’s gone from blonde to a deep jet-black hue, wore a Prada burgundy long-sleeved dress enriched with crystal and jet beaded embroidery, which she simply styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals. This look is nice enough; perhaps it could’ve nipped in at the waist more, but I always want a bit more from her.

Tessa Thompson: The actress wore a Proenza Schouler cut-out tri-colour dress which is instantly recognisable for its unique design and woodgrain pattern from the Fall 2014 collection. Styled with a black Swarovski clutch, vintage ring and Monika Chiang ankle-strap pumps, this was one of the standout looks from this red carpet.

Mackenzie Foy: The adorable young actress wore a Marchesa Notte blush multi-layered cocktail dress with a bodice beautifully decorated with gold embroidery. Her styling, which included a side-swept braid and Loeffler Randall ‘Reina’ kitten heels, perfected this sweet and youthful red carpet look.
