The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of those who joined Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kate Beckinsale and Nicole Kidman on the red carpet for the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Old Vic Theatre on Sunday (November 22) in London, England.

Salma Hayek: As you know I’m a huge advocate for Sexy Salma, but ay caramba this is perhaps a bit too much. As pretty as this Alexander McQueen ruffled gown is, ALL I can focus on are the twins.

Gemma Arterton: Like Lea Seydoux, Gemma always seems to have magic moments in Prada, but I wasn’t so enamoured by this look on this occasion. The colour is pretty, but the style fell way short for an awards ceremony.

Ruth Wilson: There was plenty of glamour imbued in Ruth’s Reem Acra gown which sparkled under the bright lights on the red carpet. Ruth usually takes a risk, so this was a rare princess moment which she totally nailed.

Lea Seydoux In Prada – ‘Spectre’ Beijing Premiere

Lea Seydoux In Prada - 'Spectre' Beijing Premiere

Lea Seydoux attended premiere of her new movie, ‘Spectre’ earlier today (November 12) in Beijing, China, which marks the final stop for her on what has been an epic tour.

Before we all slump into a deep depression, lets marvel at the beauty of Lea’s latest, and final look, from Prada styled with Chopard jewels.

Inspired by the William Travilla white dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1955 film ‘The Seven Year Itch’, I love how the graceful pleats which cascades through this floor-length Prada gown lend ethereal volume to the sultry silhouette.

The classic Bond girl femme fatale edge was imbued into this look via her red pout and matching nails which complemented the red crystal embroidered double satin belt.

I am sure you will agree that she started and ended on a high, without a bum note in-between.

With the promo tours for ‘Spectre’ and ‘Burnt’ well underway, we have plenty of dapper gents in slick suits coming our way.

Daniel Craig: Continuing to grace every red carpet with impeccable sartorial panache, the handsome actor wore Tom Ford once again. The structure of his light grey pinstripe three-piece suit styled with a sky-blue shirt with collar bar and navy silk tie gave him a smart edge while attending the ‘Spectre’ Rome premiere.

Bradley Cooper: Joining Sienna Miller for the ‘Burnt’ London premiere, the actor was also wearing Tom Ford. I love how this blue Prince of Wales peak lapel suit delivers refined sensibility, but I wish the trousers weren’t so long.

Christoph Waltz: Joining his co-stars for the ‘Spectre’ Berlin premiere on Wednesday evening, the actor showcased his impeccable style wearing a Prada suit. As you know I love any suit outside the black, navy and grey box, so this instantly grabbed my attention.

A trio of guys caught many a gaze at the ‘Spectre’ premiere on Monday (October 26) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

Daniel Craig: The man of the hour was dressed in a James Bond-worthy black Tom Ford tuxedo that was every bit as classic and sharp as we’d expect.

Sam Smith: Going the route of a white shawl-collar dinner jacket, the singer wore a head-to-toe Prada ensemble. Aside from the strange collarless white button-down shirt that exposed the full bow-tie, this look would have held some promise.

Patrick Dempsey
: Much sleeker was the actor in a Burberry Tailoring contrast-lapel tuxedo. The handsome combination of charcoal gray and black was perfectly rounded out with the addition of the matching black bow tie for a subtle yet effective finish.

Lea Seydoux In Prada - 'Spectre' London Premiere
Lea Seydoux joined Naomie Harris and Monica Bellucci for the ‘Spectre’ premiere at Royal Albert Hall on Monday (October 26) in London, England.

None will be surprised to learn that her gown du jour was a Prada piece. But this masterpiece moment certainly still sent shock waves across the red carpet.

The French beauty stole the show with the mega-wattage of this silver and gold sequin design, wearing it with the ultimate sophisticated power whereas others might have been overwhelmed and turned into a disco ball.

I especially loved the belted detail and backless cutout to further drive home the bold sparkle of the gown. Her smooth, light curls and seductive, metallic-smoky eye only added more firepower to this stunning entrance.
