Claire Danes In Prada – ‘Brigsby Bear’ New York Screening

Judging by Claire Danes’ radiant glow, the actress has been having a great summer, but she was back to work last night (July 26) for the screening of ‘Brigsby Bear’ in New York City.

It felt easy to spot her Prada dress, because the brand seem to accent all their red carpet gowns with plenty of embellishments lately, which I feel – especially in this case – isn’t always needed.

This dress pretty enough with the pink hue, fit and flare silhouette and lemon embroidery, so the bling is in danger of overcooking the piece; especially with such a heavy fabrication.

Pale pink pumps plus Eva Fehren rings and earrings round out this uber girl look for Claire.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Detroit’ premiere in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday (July 25) brought a number of men to the red carpet this week, with the Paris premiere of ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ rounding out this mid-week roundup.

Will Poulter: For the premiere of ‘Detroit,’ Will kept it traditionally safe in a Prada Fall 2017 navy suit sparked with a blue-gray dress shirt and standard maroon tie.

Algee Smith: Also in a Prada Fall 2017 ensemble at the ‘Detroit’ premiere, I was far more jazzed about Algee’s blue number that was only strengthened more by the graphic impact of his patterned yellow-and-black shirting. It made for a punchy yet polished showing that certainly caught my attention.

Anthony Mackie: While too much sheen can be a strike against a look, I still liked Anthony’s bold embrace of colour here, playing off the pinstripe in his blue Isaia suit with the teal dress shirt and tie. It was unusual, yes, but spunky. Salvatore Ferragamo calf-leather, lace-up shoes completed his ‘Detroit’ statement.

Kaitlyn Dever In Prada – ‘Detroit’ World Premiere

Kaitlyn Dever had a major movie star moment when she stepped on the red carpet for the ‘Detroit’ world premiere on Tuesday (July 25) in Detroit, Michigan, wearing a breath-taking Prada gown with a Swarovski crystal embellished neckline.

It’s rare, as you all know, for me to use the words “breath-taking”, “gown” and “Prada” in the same sentence, but between that crimson hue, impeccable cut bodice and flowing train, what’s not love?

My only issue is that Kaitlyn isn’t really selling the look. Had this been Lea Seydoux I know I would’ve been typing from the after-life.

I’m not saying that she needs to do duck lip pouts or have a layer of makeup on to sell this look, but I sense a lack of confidence which will only come after time as she’s still at such a tender age.

This is still BDOTW worthy in my opinion.

Rihanna In Prada – ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ Paris Premiere

After her London premiere look gave us 19th-century vibes, Rihanna brought things right up to date for the Paris premiere of ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ on Tuesday (July 25).

Looking at her in this fringed and feather festooned Prada Fall 2017 two-piece, my immediately feeling was she’s back – and I love it.

Some might say this is a little over the top; or that her look is a tad ridiculous, but I love that she’s finally given us quintessential Rihanna; furry Charlotte Olympia sandals and all.

I would’ve lost my mind if she’s presented another tent dress.

Cat-eye shades and a collection of Chopard jewels completed the look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here, a quick catch-up on the menswear looks that have taken to the red carpet over the past few days.

Dane DeHaan: Dane joined Cara Delevingne and Rihanna at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere in London on Monday (July 24). With the girls bringing plenty of drama, he didn’t skimp on a bit of style-forward punch in his Prada double-breasted suite with an artsy, graphic shirt underneath.

Jack O’Connell: Joining Sienna Miller, I can only surmise that Jack was playing into the ’50s setting of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ at the play’s press night after party on Monday (July 24) in London, as the styling of this Burberry ensemble with the undershirt and cropped trousers had more vintage influences than modern ones.

Clive Owen: Also at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ European premiere, Clive kept it traditional in a Giorgio Armani suit that was nice if nothing to write home about.
