Jennifer Lawrence In Prada – 2015 Producers Guild Awards

Jennifer Lawrence In Prada - 2015 Producers Guild Awards

Jennifer Lawrence attended the 2015 Producers Guild Awards held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday (January 24) in Los Angeles, California.

Having been given the green light to wear something other than Dior, this should’ve been Jennifer’s moment to really shine and showcase the style we fell in love with during the first ‘Hunger Games’ movie.

Sadly, that wasn’t going to be the case.

Instead she wore this Prada blush-hued dress accented with stone and crystal detailing with a rather strange panel placed at her midriff and back.

Looking at this picture, for me, it’s kinda hard, and near impossible, to believe this is a 24-year-old woman. She’s aged by many years here.

Perhaps I’m going overboard as I am dying to see her in something more modern à la Emma Stone, but there is nothing remotely appealing about this look in my eyes.

Gold Prada sandals rounded out her look.

2015 SAG Awards Menswear Roundup

Men SAG 1

We’ve seen all the ladies, so here is a quick roundup of some of the other attendees of the 2015 SAG Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (January 25) in Los Angeles, California.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Looking ever so handsome, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor wore a Salvatore Ferragamo three-piece black tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt and black satin bow tie.

Eddie Redmayne: The award-winning British actor never has an off day. Last night he looked very dapper wearing a double-breasted Prada suit with shiny patent-leather shoes.

Matthew McConaughey: Keeping up his snazzy blazer run from last awards season, the actor wore a Brioni suit with a blue sheen blazer, which certainty stood out in a sea of black tuxedos. The look was styled with Tod’s shoes.

ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration

ELLE's Annual Women in Television Celebration

ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration took place at the Sunset Tower on Tuesday (January 13) in West Hollywood, California, with many women in television in attendance.

Sarah Hyland: The ‘Modern Family’ star opted for head-to-toe white. I love the voluminous structure of her DKNY Spring 2015 dress, which only highlights the alluring cut-outs further. Styled with a classic Edie Parker clutch, the look was given a touch of colour via her hot-pink lip.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead: Pretty in pink, the actress wore an Osman Spring 2015 dress accented with black fringed details, which she complemented with matching pumps and a box clutch.

Jenna Dewan Tatum: The ‘Witches of East End’ golden girl wore a slinky metallic dress from Reem Acra’s Fall 2014 collection styled with Kurt Geiger London ‘Belgravia’ sandals.

2015 Golden Globes Menswear Roundup

2015 Golden Globes Menswear Roundup

The guys were none too shabby when it came to their sartorial selections at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, held last night (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, boasting a range of looks that went way beyond the standard black tux.

Matt Bomer: The Best Supporting Actor winner for ‘The Normal Heart’ was dressed just as winningly in an impeccable Ralph Lauren Black Label navy shawl collar tuxedo that naturally brought out his own baby blues and was handsomely paired with a dark bowtie and crisp white button-down shirt.

Eddie Redmayne: Looking as sharp as ever, ‘The Theory of Everything’ Best Actor winner took a Euro-cool version of black velvet out for a spin, donning a Gucci notch-lapel, two-button New Signoria evening jacket with a white evening shirt, black satin bowtie, black tuxedo trousers and black patent leather lace-up shoes.

Alan Cumming
: Having quite the nude moment, ‘The Good Wife’ actor and nominee wore a buff wool, two-button peak lapel tuxedo, buff dress shirt and buff silk skinny tie from the Spring 2015 Calvin Klein Collection. Between the monochromatic buff-ness and the rolled pant legs, not to mention his Christian Louboutin ‘Mika On Stage’ sneakers, this look translated as more comical than cool.

Ruth Wilson In Prada – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Ruth Wilson In Prada – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Ruth Wilson attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

In opposition to her typically edgy Red Carpet look, the actress wore an olive green Prada gown with black stitching and a feathered, turquoise detail. Its straight, floor-length and harsh cut around the shoulders strip away a certain level of femininity that Ruth usually exudes.

I think that the striped, cinched waist is the only part of this dress that benefits Ruth’s shape. The color is relatively blah, and her light eye makeup and peach lip do not complement the ensemble.

Even if her hair was styled differently, I don’t think it could have completely salvaged the look.

Here is a quick menswear round-up from the 2014 People’s Choice Awards and other events this week.

Ben Affleck: The handsome ‘Gone Girl’ actor collected his ‘Choice Humanitarian Award’ at the People’s Choice Awards for his work in the Congo from Amy Adams wearing a Gucci Made to Measure grey notch-lapel two-button three-piece suit styled with a white evening shirt, blue silk tie and leather lace-ups.

Kit Harington: The British actor was looking very suave in his black slim-fit Lanvin Homme suit styled with Jimmy Choo lace-ups for the ‘Testament of Youth’ London premiere on Monday (January 5) alongside co-star Alicia Vikander. It was a cold night, but he looks oh-so-very hot.

Chris Evans: The actor collected his ‘Favourite Action Movie’ award at the People’s Choice Awards, opting for a dressy-casual Gucci look consisting of a navy cashmere V-neck sweater with a plaid dress shirt, black silk tie, black trousers and black leather lace-ups. This has me swooning as much as Kit Harington in his classic suit.
