Marie Claire’s 3rd Annual Image Makers Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A host of stars joined Tracee Ellis Ross, Emma Stone, Kiersey Clemons and Yara Shahidi for Marie Claire’s 3rd Annual Image Makers Awards on Thursday (January 11) in West Hollywood, California.

Issa Rae: A part of me was longing for a more defined shape to this tangerine Prada gown, but between the colour, the all-over crystal embroidery and that infectious smile, I was totally charmed by this look.

Michelle Monaghan: When I saw Michelle in this beige Alex Perry dress with matching Christian Louboutin ‘ Toufrou’ pumps, I was looking for a break in its one-noteness somewhere; but her Irene Neuwirth 18k gold, carved strawberry pink opal, turquoise and diamond pavé earrings weren’t enough.

Princess Eugenie of York In Peter Pilotto – Chiltern Fire House

Princess Eugenie was spotted leaving the Chiltern Fire House on Saturday (November 25) in London.

I love how this Peter Pilotto Pre-Fall 2017 dress is printed with a vivid design in a handful of bright colours, and how the cold shoulder adds modern whimsy, making it easy to dress for day or night.

However, I can’t say I love this dress on the Princess, this is mostly because I adored the look the first time it was worn by Thandie Newton.

Anne Hathaway In Valentino & Emily Blunt In Peter Pilotto – Jessica Chastain & Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo’s Wedding

Over the weekend, Jessica Chastain and Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo celebrated their wedding in northern Italy, with both Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt in attendance.

‘La dolce vita’ was alive and well in both Anne and Emily’s looks, as they channeled a vibrant colour palette of bold reds, pink, and fuchsia.

I love how Anne added a striking turquoise necklace and Giuseppe Zanotti flat sandals to her Valentino Spring 2017 silk patterned gown, further enlivening its romantic, bohemian flare.

Emily took a more measured approach in her Peter Pilotto Fall 2017 foliage-printed dress that was beautiful in its colour saturation. However, I did prefer the original runway silhouette as I found it to be more inspired and interesting from top to toe. Rupert Sanderson metallic heels completed her look on a non-consequential note, when an equally bright shoe—even turquoise like her earrings—would have provided more splash.

Anne’s look won out for me. Which did you prefer?

Anna Kendrick In Peter Pilotto – 2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Anna Kendrick’s red carpet style seems to have more misses than hits, judging by the comments.

Therefore, I’m intrigued to find out what you think of her Peter Pilotto Fall 2017 dress worn to the Glamour Women of The Year Awards on Tuesday (June 6) in London.

Glowing in coral pink, this feminine dress is lent a youthful feel via the threads in orange and white imbuing a contemporary spirit that elevates the tea-length and classic styling.

Thandie Newton In Peter Pilotto – HBO’s ‘Westworld’ FYC

Thandie Newton put her best free-spirited foot forward at HBO’s ‘Westworld’ FYC panel on Tuesday (May 30) in North Hollywood, California.

Peter Pilotto are not known for maxi dresses, yet they’ve mastered the easy-breezy feeling with aplomb here, however, they have not conformed to theory that a cold-shoulder silhouette can only be imagined in floral-print, as they stuck to their favoured digital prints spliced with neon hues.

I would’ve loved for Thandie to amplified the neon yellow with matching sandals, but the simple styling works just as well here.

Channeling Spring’s Fresh Take on Girly Gingham

Fashion thrives off juxtapositions and for spring designers did the unthinkable by taking gingham—a notoriously preppy print—and flipping it on its head.

The clothes were a sight to see as Peter Pilotto, House of Holland and Molly Goddard sent the runways ablaze with models flanking the catwalk in edgy renditions of the print. Neck scarves in bright hues, patchwork cropped jackets, kaleidoscope dresses and minimalist styles were hard to miss.

The new and improved print is no longer meant for the countryside—but instead has been injected with a dose of cool girl panache. Take your style to new heights and venture outside the confines of standard seasonal prints by embracing the checkered style as we show you the freshest way to sport gingham.
