Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sofia Vergara looked very elegant at the Children’s Defense Fund California’s 20th Annual Beat The Odds Awards which was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA last night.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress who is just as busty as Salma Hayek proved that you can look sexy and chic without the twins being on display.

Her Paule Ka navy satin and black crepe one-shoulder dress showed off her gorgeous curves beautifully.

She teamed her look with a navy clutch and grey animal print YSL Tribtoo pumps.

A lesson to Salma that there is a happy medium.

Australian musical talent was celebrated at the 2010 ARIA Awards in Sydney today, with a packed red carpet of Aussie beauties celebrating Australian designers.

Ruby Rose was the exception as she opted to wear a Miu Miu Fall 2010 dress.

This dress has been seen in nearly every editorial in every magazine all over the world, so I’m surprised that Ruby wore a dress most of us are tired of seeing.

I’m not a fan of tattoos, but I kinda like the rough and the smooth contrast of the rock-chick tattoos with a cute ultra feminine dress.

Lara Bingle worked a sleek modern chic look wearing a navy dress by Australian designer Josh Goot.

Her dress is beautiful but she loses many points for the grey suede pumps.

Jessica Mauboy grabbed the attention from the others on the red carpet wearing a Toni Maticevski structured pink dress.

The R&B singer teamed her flamboyant dress with Sergio Rossi nude heels.

Megan Washington received many nominations at this event, and she ensured she looked pretty to collect awards wearing a red lace dress by Australian designer Alex Perry.

I’m not crazy about the cream pumps, but her jewel encrusted clutch catches my eye.

Kelsey Martinovich – Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6 runner up – surely wanted to be noticed wearing a Paule Ka bustier dress which a sheer panel across the midriff.

I like her dress and her bravery for wearing such a bold look, but gloves make this look very costumey.

The “2010 ARIA Awards” will air on MTV Classic on Monday 8 November at 9pm.

Jessica Lowndes is a very busy girl.

This time she was spotted on the red carpet attending “Cirque du TACORI” event held at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California.

The actress wore a gorgeous pale pink Paula Ka dress.

Her cocktail with rosette detail was paired with some equally gorgeous Jimmy Choo ‘Emerald’ sandals and the Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

With her tousled waves and beaming smile, I much prefer this youthful look over her Stella McCartney look I posted yesterday.

If I was at this event I would be bowing at the feet of Helen Mirren screaming “We are not worthy”.

The British actress wears red again on the red carpet after wearing the bold colour to the “Tempest” Premiere during Venice Film Festival recently.

I’ve always loved Helen’s style, but this Paule Ka wrap dress is one of my favourite looks from her.

At the Cinema Society & OC Concept screening of ‘RED’ at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City this week, the wrap dress showed off the stunning figure of the 65 year old actress to perfection.

I love the added detail of a Fred Leighton brooch.

Helen wore Sergio Rossi heels and a Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch to her gorge dress.

Worthy BDOTW contender.

The Paule Ka Spring 2011 collection was presented in their store on Rue Saint Honore.

On entry we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a slide show of the collection.

At the back of the store the collection was draped on mannequins allowing us to see all the details up close.

The fun sporty collection was full of interesting colours, shapes and fabrics.

Orange, nude, black, red, acid green, yellow and black and white stripes were presented alongside one floral print tunic with a nude skirt.

Finer details include bow collars, pockets which become accessories, a cloak turns into a trompe l’oeil, a scarf into a skirt and the flounces were upside down.

We saw sleeveless dresses over long skirts, bolero jackets, bubble coats, feathered trapeze dresses, vests, and sharp pants.

Large silver buttons seemed to feature on most pieces.

Favourites: Red feathered dress and orange tunic dress with embroidered details

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Emma Stone, Brandy, Lily Collins, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Chloe Sevigny and Amber Heard
