Cassie In Paule Ka – Grammy Salute To Industry Icons Honoring Jay-Z

Cassie Ventura was joined by her beau Sean Combs on the red carpet for the Clive Davis and Recording Academy Pre-GRAMMY Gala and GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Jay-Z on Saturday (January 27) in New York City.

The singer wore a Paule Ka Spring Summer 2018 dress from the designers Black Carpet Collection; with an artistic, feminine nod to the tuxedo.

If you’re anything like me, you’re wishing that Cassie had worn the full look we see on the model.

On the model the look feels fresh and modern, whereas Cassie has a been-there-done-that feel to it.

An Atelier Swarovski ‘Marina’ clutch and simple black pumps completed the look.

Holly Hunter In Paule Ka – 2018 SAG Awards

Holly Hunter was among the stars at the 2018 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 21).

The actress wore a metallic gold Paule Ka gown with everyone’s favorite feature: pockets!

Holly is definitely a no fuss kind of gal, and that translates to her red carpet wear, to be sure. The metallic hue is spot-on as far as trends go, and the gown fits her beautifully.

Her perfectly styled hair and simple makeup complete her look.

2018 AFI Awards Red Carpet Roundup

More stars were in the mix at the 2018 AFI Awards on Friday (January 5) in LA, in addition to Emilia Clarke, Saoirse Ronan, and Allison Williams.

Reese Witherspoon: This little red dress may have been right up Reese’s alley, and nothing all that groundbreaking, but it was a chic addition to the style lineup. I like the twisted, ruched details to further flatter the figure. Christian Louboutin ‘Corneille’ nude pumps rounded out the look.

Greta Gerwig: I cannot fully get aboard the piece-y nature of this Burberry dress, what with the embroidered lavender overlay, the uneven hem, and the wide, dropped waistband. The dark pumps didn’t help the dress’s cause, either.

Issa Rae: Issa was nothing but a ray of sunshine in this happy-chic Calvin Klein bias-cut frock topped off with metallic sandals and a Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch.

‘Backstage Secrets’ By Russell James Book Launch

A flurry of supermodels were out in force to support noted Aussie photographer Russell James and his new book, ‘Backstage Secrets’ on Saturday (November 18) in Shanghai, China.

Karlie Kloss: Sometimes Karlie plays it safe, so I love how playful this sporty David Koma Resort 2018 mesh frock was. I do think she could have extended the fun to her shoes with a bright-pink pair instead of these Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

Martha Hunt: With a play on lavender metallic, this Baja East Spring 2018 two-piece set was sassy if nothing else. Also wearing a pair of Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, she let the outfit do all the talking with the shoes all but disappearing.

Sara Sampaio: I like how Sara balanced out the wide-leg appeal of these Paule Ka trousers with a sultry spliced Y/Project cutout bodysuit.

Fox Fall Party 2017

The Fox Fall Party 2017 was held on Monday (September 25) in West Hollywood, California, with a trio of stars in attendance.

Halston Sage: This T by Alexander Wang knot midi dress may have been minimalistic in design, but it packed a feisty punch in its fiery hue and seductive silhouette that Halston worked to max capacity. – link

Amber Stevens West: Reflecting the softer side of feminine glamour, Amber wore a ruffled Paule Ka cold-shoulder frock. I think her styling completely elevated the design that could have slipped into nightdress territory, as the metallic Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and matching bag were polished elements to complete the look.

January Jones: With a gothic-pretty approach, January wore the ‘Cate’ floral fil coupé mini dress from The Vampire’s Wife, with vampy heels to round out the look. Sienna Miller previously wore this dress, and I much preferred her more streamlined, minimal styling. Between the wrist cuff, the strappy shoes, and the bright pink lip, this ensemble seemed a bit forced on January.

27th Annual EMA Awards

The 27th Annual EMA Awards on Saturday (September 23), honoring film and television productions and individuals that further public awareness of environmental issues, had its fair share of flora on the red carpet.

Nikki Reed: The new mom chose a blue-green Tadashi Shoji Pre-Fall 2017 gown. Banding on the bodice brought some allure to the bohemian maxi dress decorated with red and white flowers.

Natalie Portman: The Christian Dior ambassador resisted florals, opting for a creamy frock from the fashion house. The simplicity of the above-the-knee dress with delicate sandals felt refreshing.

Jordana Brewster: Donning a white Paule Ka Pre-Fall 2017 dress with pink and red blooms, the actress incorporated the night’s white and flowers trends. Hueb ruby earrings, fuchsia lipstick and coordinating sandals enhanced the floral pattern on the dress, while the black nails and clutch added some toughness.

The Hollywood Reporter And SAG-AFTRA Inaugural Emmy Nominees Night

Ahead of this weekend’s Emmys, lovely ladies attended The Hollywood Reporter And SAG-AFTRA Inaugural Emmy Nominees Night on Thursday (September 14).

Natalia Dyer: Ravishing in red, the young actress brought some fun to the carpet in a Preen Fall 2017 dress with coordinating heels. The patterned Jimmy Choo clutch added to the youthful air.

Madeline Brewer: This Paule Ka Fall 2017 gown had the potential to be fabulous, but it has left me feeling a bit deflated—and the dress appears in a similar state. It seems there are some structural issues given its lopsided appearance.
