As hard as I tried, I just couldn’t love Kristen Stewart in this stunning Oscar de la Renta Resort 2010 tulle gown.

If she wanted to be the Bella of this ball she shouldn’t scowled her way down the red carpet, and she should’ve done more with her hair.

For me this is a waste of a stunning gown.

As much as it was Kristen’s night, Dakota Fanning stole her red carpet thunder.

The teen actress wore a cute Valentino Spring 2010 lace dress paired with a maroon satin pair of platform heels.

I would’ve loved it if she had kept the cute bow, but I guess she was going for a more grown up look.

Definitely a BDOTW contender…

…as is Ashley Greene .

She was a total knock-out wearing a Prabal Gurung Fall 2009 ravishing red gown.

The high-neck gown had an incredibly sexy draping detail at the back.

Half-up-half-down hairstyles usually bother me, but Ashley has so much good going on I can not fault her.

Noot Seear surprised me being the 3rd celebrity to wear a piece from Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 collection.

I’ll admit I didn’t know who she was, but the Canadian actress sure does justice to this reptile print dress.

Instead of the Armadillo heels she opted for a sexy pair of strappy platform heels.

Anna Kendrick sparkled on the red carpet wearing a Talbot Runhof Fall 2009 black asymmetrical one sleeve sequin-mini dress.

This dress sure does put you in the festive spirit with the red and white studs which add a bit of colour to this cute/sexy mini.

She completed her look with Stella McCartney heels.

I’m very grateful to Christian Serratos for modifying this Rafael Cennamo Fall 2009 gown into a cute and sassy mini dress.

I just wish her gold and silver pailette covered mini dress was worn with better shoes.

Those bronze ankle boots are like kryptonite to my eyes.

Author Stephenie Meyer glided down the red carpet wearing a custom-made Carolina Herrera gown with a mermaid hem.

The gown is loosely based black and grey embroidered sheath dress which was presented on the Fall 2009 runway.

I love how much more dramatic Stephenie’s gown is to the runway look.

A chic updo and Gothic beads complete this stunning look.

Julia Jones showed off her legs wearing a sexy coral BCBG Max Azria mini dress.

I just love this colour against her caramel skin.

What a beauty.

Julianne Hough’s look has a touch of de ja vu to it, as it reminds me of the Prabal Gurung look we saw on Becki Newton recently.

Nikki Reed opted for a stunning silk baby blue Burberry mini dress, paired with Christian Louboutin heels.

Damn you Freida Pinto.

BDOTW is going to be hard enough.

The nude runway version of this Valentino Spring 2010 dress is beautiful, but the Indian beauty picked a black sheer version with a nude underlay which I absolutely adore.

Her look was paired with satin black heels and a Roger Vivier Canasta clutch.

I’m loving every thing about Emily Blunt’s Basil Soda Fall 2009 Couture maroon dress from the waist up.

Her patterned skirt doesn’t quite work for me.

Had it been one block colour, I think I would been drooling over this look.

This appears to be a less formal event, so I will concede that she did make a great choice despite my reservations about the skirt.

I love the wrap around beaded bodice as it’s so interesting and unique, plus I adore her silver sandals, but that crystallized ruby clutch is to die for.

I know a lot of you find Claire Danes very boring on the red carpet, but I find her quite calming on the red carpet.

As much as I like big dramatic gowns, with bling and vibrant colours, you never see Claire making huge mistakes on the red carpet.

She has a formula, and it appears she is sticking to it.

For me this Oscar de la Renta look is in a long line for simple flawless looks for Claire.

Amy Adams wears a simple navy Azzaro dress with a twist, as it has a ruched detail going down one side.

All in all, this is a fantastically well dressed event.

Kudos to all these ladies.

One thing you can guarantee on the red carpet at a Latin ceremony is plenty of colour.

The ladies didn’t disappoint.

Lucero was the host of the show gracing the red carpet wearing a purplicious Angel Sanchez Resort 2010 one-shouldered gown, with a red trim for added detail.

I wish she’d worn the gown with the trim around the neckline folded up like on the runway, but I’m guessing her interpretation was to show off her cleavage.

Barbara Bermudo also wore an Angel Sanchez Resort 2010 gown from the same collection.

I much prefer Barbara’s rich coloured blue one-shouldered gown as it feels more regal.

Her hair was slicked back with statement earrings completing the look.

If this was a face-off actress Marlene Favela would win hands down in her David Salomon Spring 2010 gown.

The gown caresses her curves, giving her a stunning silhouette plus I love the volume on her ruffled shoulder detail.

Eva Longoria walked the red carpet, and also presented an award at the ceremony.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress was sparkling wearing a typically gorgeous Zuhair Murad Resort 2010 bronze and gold strapless beaded pencil dress with a fringed hem.

As gorgeous as her dress is, Eva’s outshone by the other ladies on this red carpet.

Kika Rocha glows in an electric blue Notte by Marchesa Fall 2009 strapless gown with a rosette detail on the waist.

Simply exquisite, with a beautiful smile to match.

Laura Pausini shunned colour for a beautiful black Giorgio Armani Fall 2009 strapless dress accented with a jeweled detail on the bodice.

Love the dress, but I would’ve loved her look more without the necklaces.

This Oscar de la Renta Fall 2009 purple gown is very popular on red carpets around the world.  I think this is it’s 4th outing.

Singer Natalia Jimenez is the latest celebrity to wear it.

For me this dress is made more interesting with the runway belt.

Amaia Montero looked oh so cute wearing a white draped Diane von Furstenberg sequined gown, which had a black sash tied to the waist from the Resort 2009 collection.

There is a lot of green going on with Alicia Keys’ Kaufman Franco look, but I think it’s more green goddess than green goblin.

I love to bringing you red carpet stylish events from around the world, and this time we head to Madrid for the 2009 Telva Magazine Fashion Awards where Angel Schlesser was awarded “Best National Designer” and Diane Von Furstenberg was awarded “Best International Designer”.

Angel dressed many of the beautiful women at this event, whilst presenting himself in a very smart black suit.

Diane looked outstanding wearing a liquid gold gown with an embellished neckline.

Carolina Adriana Herrera and Genoveva Casanova both glammed up in Carolina Herrera gowns.

Carolina wore a stand out purple gown from the recent Spring 2010 presentation, with a central split and a criss cross detail going across the bodice.

Genoveva wore a grey Fall 2009, which was never my favourite gown from this collection but it looks really good on her.

A red carpet event is not a red carpet event without an Elie Saab gown.

Actress Paula Echevarria was breath-taking wearing a purple gown with a satin sash wrapped around the dress into a bow detail which rested on her shoulder.

Her orange jeweled clutch is by Dior.

BDOTW worthy.

I also loved Daphne Fernandez’ Hannibal Laguna Fall 2009 gown as it’s so dramatic, with the stunning embroidery details and the mermaid hem.

Daphne and the model are working the hell out of this exquisite gown. Kudos to both of them.

This is BDOTW worthy too.

Spanish writer Espido Freire’s pink Hannibal Laguna Spring 2009 dress was the most stunning on this red carpet, but she badly lets herself down with the Paco Gil shoes and and that blue shawl she’s carrying.

Things like the shawl need to be handed to the nearest lacky during photo ops.

Her jewels were by Vasari.

I think I’ve said it once…no I’ve said it a thousand times, this electric blue colour is so captivating on the red carpet.

I’m like a moth to a flame whenever I see this colour on the red carpet.

Tamara Falco looked divine in her Notte by Marchesa Fall 2009 one-shouldered gown with an embellished detail on the strap and bodice.

Arantxa del Sol looked spectacular wearing an Oscar de la Renta pleated duchess satin gown which was my favourite from the Fall 2009 collection.

She paired it with the runway belt which matched her clutch.

We’ve seen this Valentino Spring 2009 red dress many times on the red carpet and I always say the same thing.

Why would anyone want to wear a gown which is so unflattering on the hips?

Fiona Ferrer proves me right, as she looks so bottom heavy.

Alejandra Martos was kept in the shade wearing a strapless black gown, whilst Tony Acosta stood out wearing a two tone Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2009 gown with a red rosette detail on the waist.

I love the shiny effect of her black skirt.

Vanessa Lorenzo opted for a blue shapeless gown of her own design, whilst Natalia Lopez looked angelic wearing an Angel Schlesser Spring 2010 ivory wrap gown.

Whilst everyone opted for gowns, TV personality Patricia Conde picked a youthful sassy Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 black and nude ensemble.

She went head-to-toe LV, as she paired her look with a LV gold clutch and Cancan heels.

It could just be the light, but I much prefer the softer blue runway version of Monica Molina’s Angel Schlesser Spring 2010 dress.

This black Juanjo Oliva Fall 2009 gown as worn by Nieves Alvarez is so amazing that it’s such a same the detail is lost against the black carpet and black background.

Her look is complete with a Roger Vivier clutch.

Model Martina Klein was pretty in a pink Angel Schlesser Spring 2010 mini dress with a ruffled detail on the bodice.

Here are some more looks by special request.

Princess Elena of Spain looked breath-taking wearing an Angel Schlesser Spring 2010 strapless gown.

I love the cerulean blue colour she wore, as it’s more regal to the ivory runway version.

Spanish model Mar Flores’ Angel Schlesser Spring 2010 strapless gown looks so buttery against her olive skin.

The feathered detail is a nice finishing touch.

Spanish model Estefania Luyk wore a taupe Giorgio Armani Pre-Fall 2009 strapless dress, but as usual I’m more drawn to the colourful Paco Rabanne confection that actress Laura Pamplona is wearing.

Carmen Lomana opted for a silky blue Juanjo Oliva Spring 2010 dress

Sarah Jessica Parker’s latest fragrance is called SJP NYC.

You will not be surprised to learn that the scent was inspired by Carrie Bradshaw.

In an interview with WWD the actress said “A large part of the inspiration was what I now understand to be people’s impressions of seeing Carrie Bradshaw walk down the street and what feelings that evokes for her and for them - a real sense of freedom and possibilities, a love for the city around her and, of course, fashion.”

SJP NYC will be available exclusively in Macy’s stores in the US from February, and then it will be available everywhere else in May to coincide with the premiere of ‘Sex And The City 2′ movie.

The scent is said to be a fruity, floral fragrance with hints of creamy musks, sandalwood and vanilla.

I’ve never quite understood the allure of celebrity fragrances, so I’m more interested in the fabulous artwork for this scent.

SJP is beaming ever so brightly wearing a strapless Oscar de la Renta Spring 2009 dress with NYC in pink as the backdrop.

“Astro Boy” Los Angeles Premiere

Kristen Bell’s Oscar de la Renta Resort 2010 navy blue and white embroidered dress works very well because she has kept accessories to a minimum.

She teamed her dress with a pair of simple cut-out heels.

30th Annual Salute To Women In Sports Awards, New York

Laila Ali is defying the myth that sportswomen can’t look elegant and feminine on the red carpet, by wearing a breath-taking raspberry silk chiffon one shoulder Tadashi Shoji gown with floral strap detail.

‘Up In The Air’ Premiere, London Film Festival

I always wondered how this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2009 chartreuse gown with a black beaded embroidered overlay would look on the red carpet.

Natascha McElhone keeps the look very simple, yet I just can’t fall in love with this look as stunning as the detail is.

Rag & Bone Soho Store Opening, New York

Sienna Miller wore a Rag & Bone ensemble including grey shorts, cropped jacket and shoe-boots to the Rag & Bone SoHo store opening.

Even when she dresses down still looks gorgeous.

L’Oreal Paris Recieves Friend Of The Walk Of Fame Award, LA

Actresses Eva Longoria Parker, Andie MacDowell and Kate del Castillo attended this event as the ambassadors of L’Oreal.

Eva wore a two tone grey Nicole Miller Studio One tweed pencil dress with an asymmetrical neckline, whilst Andie was divine in a printed dress.

Kate was equally chic in a black chiffon top and wide-legged white pants.

Samantha Thavasa Special Meet And Greet With Beyonce, Tokyo

After her last trip to Japan back in August Beyonce Knowles returned sans Solange to promote her Samantha Thavasa bags.

The singer wore a Roberto Cavalli ultra mini dress, paired with Rock & Republic Celina heels

Moet & Chandon “Tribute To Cinema”, Japan

Scarlett Johansson maybe wearing a vintage Haute Couture Givenchy gown and Christian Dior heels, but I just can’t raise a smile whilst for this look.

October 14th, 2009

Amber Heard walked the red carpet looking outstanding wearing a vintage Oscar de la Renta black gown.

The sheer gown with a lace underlay and lace cap sleeves shimmers from the embroidered embellishments all over the gown.

Her hair, make-up and Dana David jewelry are perfection.

The ribbon tied around her waist was a nice finishing touch.

BDOTW contender for sure.

Jessica Szohr arrived wearing a grey Proenza Schouler coat dress paired with black jeans and snake skin peep-toes.

Not quite as ready carpet ready I would have hoped, but I guess because she’s not in the movie she didn’t feel the need to dress up.

Taylor Momsen went for a gothic look teaming a lace minidress, patterned tights and a crucifix with heavy eye make-up.

I don’t hate the look as she doesn’t look too disheveled, but she could so wear this look to a Halloween party.

Maybe Blake Lively is like me and she hates horror movies because she wasn’t seen on the red carpet, but she was seen with her boyfriend Penn Badgley at the after party.

The gorgeous actress wore a Smythe tweed slouchy boyfriend blazer paired with a white tee, black leather pants and Giuseppe Zanotti studded pumps.
