Helen Mirren In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – 2013 BAFTA Awards

Dame Helen Mirren joined the ranks of hair chameleon Katy Perry and lavender-loving Kelly Osbourne with her shocking new ‘do, which she debuted at the 2013 BAFTA Awards on Sunday at the Royal Opera House in London, England.

To go with her hair, the Leading Actress nominee chose a long-sleeve gown from the Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2013 Couture runway.

Featuring floral embroidery, the chiffon dress was somewhat weighed down with its heavy lining and that shiny silver wrap. But at least she didn’t up her BAFTAs surprise factor even more by wearing the gown in its original, see-through runway incarnation.

It didn’t really matter what she had on, though, as her cotton-candy pixie cut was the main attraction.

She quoted ‘America’s Next Top Model’ as her inspiration behind the hair hue. My jaw is still on the floor.

Known for her classic grace on the red carpet, this was quite the scandalous departure for Helen.

She certainly gave the fellow Nicholas-Oakwell-outfitted Paloma Faith a run for her money in the hair department.

Paloma Faith In Nicholas Oakwell – 2013 BAFTAs

Time and again, British singer-songwriter Paloma Faith has proven she’s none too shy to flaunt her wild-child flair on the red carpet. The 2013 BAFTA Awards hosted at the Royal Opera House in London, England were no exception.

Her Nicholas Oakwell design from the Spring 2012 Couture collection featured a flurry of sparkling embellishment smattered onto the silvery grey gown. The keyhole detail showed just enough skin to stay sophisticated.

But even all that glitzy dazzle couldn’t detract from the outrageous orange sculpture that was her hair.

The ‘Picking up the Pieces’ songstress paraded out the quirk factor with her elaborate ‘do; a twisted and turning riff on a beehive, accented with vintage-looking De Beers diamond hair jewelry.

An exaggerated brow and sleepy cat eye, along with a bright red lip, completed the beauty explosion.

Portia Freeman In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – 2012 British Fashion Awards

Portia Freeman took to the red carpet at the Savoy Hotel in London for the 2012 British Fashion Awards.

The model wore a Nicholas Oakwell Couture gown for the occasion.

Her bronze-and-black long-sleeve gown is a beaded version of the nude gown which took to the runway during the designer’s Fall 2012 Couture collection.

A textured clutch with the same pattern as her dress and Nicholas Kirkwood for Nicholas Oakwell sandals accessorized her look.

This is a sexy, cool look for the statuesque beauty.

Karolina Kurkova In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – PeaceEarth Foundation Fundraising Gala

Karolina Kurkova made a rare visit to London to support the PeaceEarth Foundation Fundraising Gala held at Banqueting House in London on Saturday evening.

The supermodel stuns wearing a Nicholas Oakwell Fall 2012 Couture gown.

Nicholas may be still regarded as an emerging designer, but celebs just can’t get enough of his classic designs.

In the space of two weeks, this is his third look to hit red carpet, following Gillian Anderson and Naomie Harris.

On this occasion, Karolina donned a grey chiffon long-sleeve dress enriched with silver bungle beads.

A metallic silver waist nipping waistband, a signature of this Fall 2012 collection, and a matching tube clutch accessorized her look.

Playing up to the retro vibe of this look, the model styled her hair into a slick back do and sported a bold red lip colour that both Gwen Stefani and Dita von Teese would be proud to rock.

Naomie Harris In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – ‘Skyfall’ Istanbul Premiere

Naomie Harris graced the red carpet for the Istanbul premiere of the latest James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’ in Turkey last week.

As the majority of the movie was shot in Istanbul, showcasing the famous rooftops and the Grand Bazaar, it was apt that the premiere was hosted in the city.

Naomie dazzled – literally – on the red carpet, alongside producer Michael G. Wilson, wearing a Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress.

The micro-beaded copper cocktail dress was created especially for the actress who wore the dress with a gold waist-cinching belt as worn by the models on the Nicholas Oakwell Fall 2012 Couture runway.

She styled her look with the same Nicholas Kirkwood for Nicholas Oakwell Couture black ankle-strap platforms we saw her wear during the London premiere.

After opting for wavy locks on several occasions, Naomie kept her tresses slick straight, with shimmering copper eye shadow and clear glossy lips providing the finishing touches.

I think this is her best look so far.
