Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Goya Awards 1

There were many more gorgeous gals who took to the red carpet at the Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe in Madrid, Spain on Sunday evening for the 2013 Goya Awards.

Paula Echevarria: The actress took my breath away, wearing a shimmering Dolores Promesas gown. Her long-sleeved emerald-green creation with a plunging neckline and long train was styled with ruby Tous jewels and a gold seashell-shaped clutch. One of the top ten of the night.

Dafne Fernández: Here we have another stunning look from the beautiful Dafne. The actress wore a gold Stella McCartney long-sleeved gown with an open back and side slit. You may remember that Gwyneth Paltrow wore a similar gown to the 2011 Met Gala. Ombre waves, flawless makeup and subtle gold jewels completed her look.

Irene Escolar: With so many opting for Fall-like hues, Irene selected a pretty coral Blumarine gown with delicate orange embroidered details for one of the more stand-out looks on the red carpet, which was again perfected with simple styling.

Famke Janssen In Naeem Khan - ‘Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Famke Janssen joined Gemma Arterton on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ on Tuesday.

The actress opted for a glamorous look, wearing a Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2012 gown.

Her gorgeous tulle one-shoulder gown, enriched with paillettes and feathers, is a look worthy of a film festival premiere.

Opting not to upstage her gown, she styled the look with a black clutch, barely-there makeup and side-swept wavy locks.

Naeem Khan Fall 2013

I had to run to the Naeem Khan Fall 2013 show, thankfully making it to my seat just before the show started.

The pain of running in 6 inch heels subsided quickly, replaced by an overwhelming delight at seeing a gorgeous black embellished gown as the first exit.

Naeem was clearly not going to waste time by building up to the glamour; he was giving it to us from the get go.

Velvet gowns with opulent embroidery, one-shoulder gowns, strapless, beaded, shimmering, sequined, and appliquéd lace gowns followed, along with cocktail dresses and embroidered coats; a stunning beaded pant look with a voluminous train got more than a second look, but my jaw hit the floor hard when a succession of three red gowns took to the runway.

I haven’t drooled this much since… well, the designer’s Spring 2013 show. Every look is a red-carpet-worthy look, but that is the reason I love the designer’s work so much.

Hopefully, Hollywood stylists are taking plenty of notes, because I hope to see at least two of these gowns on the red carpet on Oscar night.

Morgan Saylor In Naeem Khan - 2013 SAG Awards

Morgan Saylor joined her ‘Homeland’ co-star Claire Danes on the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in California on Sunday evening for the 2013 SAG Awards.

She donned a Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2013 black satin dress with a pleated skirt enriched with black, white, silver and red beaded embellishments.

A Rona Pfeiffer ring, a red Edie Parker clutch and bold lip colour make up for the snooze-worthy Brian Atwood ‘Hamper’ black platform pumps.

Michelle Obama In Naeem Khan - National Prayer Service

Michelle Obama attended the National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral yesterday morning following an amazing night at the inaugural ball.

The First Lady wore a custom Naeem Khan ivory wool-appliqué 3/4-sleeve coat with jewelled neck and trim with a matching sleeveless dress.

I knew Mrs O wouldn’t let this moment pass without donning at least one look from the Indian designer. In fact, this is the eighth time that Mrs Obama has worn designs by Naeem Khan, the first time being at the administration’s first State Dinner back in November, 2009.

Opting to wear her hair in an neat updo, she styled her Sunday Best (even though it’s Tuesday) look with nude kitten heels and light makeup.
